In today's video I will be sharing my 3 months later feedback from using the @razer Kaira Pro for the PS5 across multiple platforms including the PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Android and iPhones.
I will be sharing my thoughts on the features and audio quality of this wireless gaming headset, and also my experience with the Razer Kaira Pro's Hypersense Haptic feedback.

Such a quality review! I had one question which you kind of already addressed. I have always had problems with headsets when the drivers rub up against my ears. I just returned the arctis 7p+ due to this reason. Is the padding definately deep enough to stop any painful rubbing of the drivers agains the ears?
Hi navos! Sorry for getting back to you slow. I know exactly how you feel. Compared to the 7p+ from steelseries, if memory serves me right, they have about the same depth as Razer's Blackshark V2 Pro which is only a few millimeters less than the Kaira Pros. It's hard to say if the padding on these will be deep enough, but I highly recommend to try it out in person at a shop if possible. You can try either the Razer Thresher if they do not have any Kaira Pros for PS5 on display as those also use the same ear cushions. Hope this helps ^^

Does your ear get warm when using these and does it have any connection issues?
@@CaliLifeStyle8o5 what I’ve seen from my limited use is that it’s not warm and no connection issues. However they are quite quiet even at max volume. I haven’t messed around with it much yet but that is the only issue I see. And it’s not too quiet but it definitely won’t blow ear drums at any point.

Hi Calvin! Thank you for the feedback ^^ I'm glad you like the review. As for turtle beach headsets, it's a little hard to get my hands on them here as they are wayyy overpriced by individual importers and don't have really good aftersales warranty support, so it's not likely I will review this brand at the moment. But from what I know about the turtle beach 700 gen 2, it's a very capable wireless headset that performs quite similar to Logitech's G Pro X with slightly higher trebles. So hope that helps ^^

Hi Alex! I haven't played GT7, but I did use it with Forza Horizon 5 with Dobly Atmos on the PC. As for the experience, all I can share with you is that, it's good that I can hear cars behind or next to me with the software surround emulation, but it's not as good as a dedicated 7.1 surround speaker setup. Software surround emulation can only do so much >< Hope that makes sense hehe.
Hello and thanks for the video, I wanted to ask your opinion about the normal Kaira for PlayStation dual wireless headset, does it offer the same sound quality and supports PS5 3D audio like the pro version or no? Thanks
Hi Amoo Ali! Thank you for watching. The normal version also supports PS5's 3D audio like the pro version in this video and the drivers are the exact same. The default sound profiles sound almost identical, but the Pros have a slightly more punchy bass in my opinion from my trial at the store. Although I don't own the non-Pro version to test out the sound quality for extended gaming periods, so pls take this as an opinion.

really been debating on getting these VS the steel series arctic 7p pros. I’ve heard really good things about both but a question I Can’t seem to get answered would be about the volume. Would you say these headphones can get pretty loud? Or do you sometimes wish you could increase the volume just a little more?

This headset does indeed get very loud, but not enough to the point where your ear hurts at max volume. ^^

Hello, how is this headset when it comes to echoing issues? I have Nari Ultimate and if my volume on the headset is too high,m it echoes into the Vc of the game itself or in the Ps party
i've keen to buy this 1, but what about using it for fps gamers? because it does't have a surrounding sounds.

Hi Truth3r! Yes indeed. It’s strange why Razer tuned it so weirdly out of the box. I’m currently working on a video comparing all of Razer’s flagship headsets, and my theory is so that it will sound and work better with PS5’s Tempest Engine 3D audio, as other headsets don’t sound as good on the PS5 as the Kaira Pro.
What equalizer settings are the best? Or are the default settings good?

Hi mooglepotions! You're welcome and glad that you enjoyed the video. If you get the wired version, then it will work simply by connecting the 3.5mm jack to the controller just like on the PS4. However, the wired version does not have haptic feedback, but for some reason comes sounding slightly better factory tuned >

how do i use the built in mic on the raizer kaira pros wireless for xbox one for when i play fortnite? i like the mic but its too sensitive. i noticed the built in one is less sensitive

Hi Douglas! I haven't owned and used the Pulse 3D for extended time, but did try it briefly at a local Sony Store. Feature wise, the Razer Kaira Pro has a lot more to offer than the Pulse 3D if you plan to use the headset to game on multiple platforms such as PC, mobile, and Nintendo Switch, but it does cost a lot more than the Pulse 3D. So if you plan to use it mainly on the PS5 and don't really need the Haptic Feedback, then the Pulse 3D should be good in terms of value as their sound signature are quite similar. Hope this helps ^^

Thanks for your review. One of the best reviews I've seen for this headset so far. A few quick questions: are the settings in your custom eq in the video what you personally use (2,2,1,0,-1,0,0,3,4,3)? And whenever I turn the headset on with my PS5, the volume on the headset resets to max, and the internal mic turns on, regardless of whether I have it toggled on or off. Did you experience this? Thanks!
Hi Billy! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. As for the settings, the one in the video is what I currently use for gaming (until I can find a better one). But when using it on PS5, the volume doesn't default to max for me. I'll help search around to see if I can find others having the same issue.

@@crazysnagman Sadly, no. I got a replacement from Razer that did the same. They're about to send a replacement for the replacement next week. Sorry you're experiencing it.

Do you think the haptic feedback is worth it? I currently own the Black shark V2 Pro and not sure if I should trade it for the Kraken V3 Pros or this.
Hi Vincenzo! If you are looking for a "new" experience, then the haptic feature is something that is cool and fun to have. However, if you are not too serious about needing to have vibrators on your ears, then the Blackshark V2 Pro is in my opinion better than the Kaira Pro :)
Never tried the Black Sharks, but I'd recommend making sure you can return the V3 Pro's if you get them. The sound was good, but the haptics weren't consistent for me when I had them. They would stop working when they were on, and all I'd hear was a metallic clanging in the headset. I'd have to turn the headset on and off in order to get them to work again, but the issue always cropped up. The volume in the left cup was softer than the one in the right too, if the volume was set below 75%. Saw a few people on the Razer forums with the same issues.

Hi Roger! Straight out of the box, the 7p+ sounds better. But with some tuning, the Razer Kaira Pro can sound just as good. The only deciding factor I would consider is if I want the extra Hypersense haptic feedback, which is a neat gimmick if you haven't tried it before. Other than that, it will be down to brand preference. Hope this helps 😄

@@rogerallanpangan8560 You're welcome and thanks for the kind words! For tuning, if you also like a v-shaped sound signature (boosted bass and trebles) I can share with you the settings I use for music. When gaming, I just set it to the Amplified preset for the slightly boosted bass and mids.

@@rogerallanpangan8560 Here's what I use (from left to right in mobile Razer Audio App) +1 for 31Hz - 125Hz, 0 for 250-500Hz, -1 for 1kHz, -2 for 2KHz, +1 for 4kHz, 0 for 8kHz, +1 for 16kHz. You could try fine-tuning from this to find the sound that you like for music ^^

I bought the play station version and i hear cracking sound when i use it in my play station and i can’t use it because after 2 hours of cracking sound, I can’t hear the game soundand the voice chat😔
I’ve had the headset since December now. I love it. I really think it works great! And now its only $150 at Best Buy. I use it as a gaming headset, music and movies and bt for business calls. I have gotten good feedback on the mic and I love the sound without tweaking it just set it to amplified and haptic on low. But I do shut haptic off sometimes. Stay safe all.

Pretty much what I do but with medium haptics which I turn off if I'm playing online. I do have haptics set to low when watching a film and it sounds great. Watching Spiderman No Way Home was a blast with these
@@chrisvillan88 you try online like COD with haptic on low? It actually helps imo. You can hear the footsteps still and the hapitic help let you know how close they actually are. If you just hear they aren’t in the same room but if you feel and hear a door or sum you know they are right there as example. Try it out if you haven’t. 👍🏼
Ahh right, I'll give it ago next time I play. I don't play COD on a mega regular basis but I'll see how it sounds.
I've only had bad feedback on the mic. And I can't adjust it at all. It's really low and unclear
So what are the best headsets for ps5?
i had big comfort issues with this one, the padding on top is not enough, it only covers the center part. if your head is wide it will be crushed against the plastic giving a headache 😮💨
Hi Medsas! That sucks to hear. I guess each of our head shapes are different. Did you try extending the earcups more so that there is less pressure on the top of the head?

Hi Panos! If gaming, I definitely recommend the amplified mode. It's more of a V-shaped sound curve, but if you do not like it, you could tune it some more with the mobile app :)

I confused I am between Kraken v3 pro and Kaira pro for PS5. Kraken v3 pro support 3d audio for PS5? Please help me choose the best option. I want it for PS5 and movies in television.
Hi Vasilis! The Kraken V3 Pro supports 3D audio on PS5 just like the Kaira Pro. If you are mainly just going to be gaming on the PS5, then the Kaira Pro will fine. It does have a slightly heavier bass and requires a little EQ tuning to sound better, but also comes with Bluetooth so you can use with other devices. The Kraken V3 Pro on the other hand, comes tuned slightly more balanced out of the box. It also has support for synapse customization for PC use, but has a larger USB A dongle and not Bluetooth. Hope this helps.

Hey @gamersclinic I was wondering if you could help me with something. I bought this headset and have been using it on ps4 however thr comments on my mic quality have been atrocious as they have been breaking up and sounding bad. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? Thank you
Hi Raehum! It could possibly be wireless signal interference from another nearby 2.4 ghz source. Though Razer's Hyperspeed wireless technology should scan and use the least "busy" channel, so this shouldn't happen.
You might need to contact Razer support or bring it to the shop and claim warranty as it could be a defective dongle/chip in the headset itself.

Hi Pipo82! Honestly, they are both evenly matched, with the Nova 7 sounding better out of the box. I would recommend getting the brand that you prefer, unless you are into haptic feedback, which in that case go with the Razer 😉
what is the battery indicator light colour for a fully charged battery been charging mines for about 5hrs and the colour stays the same green and blinking curious cause i can never tell when it’s fully charged ?
Hi RaZe_275! If it is green, it's fully charged (Orange blinking, for when still charging). From the low battery alert, it should take around 3-4 hours to fully charge it back up. Hope this helps.
@@GamersClinic thats odd never has it blinked orang or yellow as it states in the manual, got 2 faulty ones with the same issues battery draining too quick not even lasting long as it states 12hrs or longer with everything turned off, got a refund tho so all is good probably wont be buying razer again for awhile.
Do they feature some sort of noise cancellation/ambient sound?
Hi Rodney! The Kaira Pros for the PS5 do not have any active noise cancellation, only passive cancellation >
@@daswahnjames5504 The normal Kaira for PS5 are also pretty good. They only lack and Hypersense ear massagers, bluetooth connectivity, and removable mic ^^

The standard equalizer settings sound fine, you just need to turn off 3D audio in the PS5 console settings.

Hi Alex! I would say it is pretty big head friendly. The headset has a decent adjustment range, and just as a reference, my head from ear to ear measures at about 8.5" horizontally and I only extend the headset about a quarter of its available slack. (Hope this makes sense >

Hi Jhon! The PS5 version will not work "directly" with the Series X out of the box due to Microsoft using their own wireless protocol, but you can work around that by using a bluetooth adapter and then connecting to the series x via bluetooth. Though using this method will result in having a tiny bit higher audio latency, but it's not so bad that it is unusable.

Hi Dc7! For the Kaira Pro, you can only customize it via mobile app. To use Synapse, you will need to pickup the Kraken V3 Pro. Hope this helps 😉

I wear glasses, do the ear pads hurt after a long play session?
Hi Austin! For all Razer flagship wireless headsets (including the Kaira Pro) I could wear them for hours and not feel any ear pain. I feel they really did a great job with the ear cushions :)
The only problem for me is the Mic is SO SENSITIVE. It picks up every single movement and breath I take!
Hi Whirlingmonk! Try moving the mic a bit further away from your mouth and point the "holes" more toward your face and it should pickup sounds coming from a 180 degrees pattern around the "holes".

Does anyone have this issue , when you turn your Ps5 on, you dont hear sound of your tv it automatically connects with your kaira (but the kaira is turned off) so everytime you have to change the settings to HDMI or Kaira, it drives me nuts

Hi Meta! It’s the same with either Razer and other brand wireless headset that I’ve connected via a dongle to the PS5. I believe it because the dongle doesn’t not advertise itself as “off/unavailable” when headset is off, so the PS5 automatically outputs audio to headset. The easiest way is to unplug the dongle when not using, for now, until Sony adds an option to “lock” the preferred audio output to the PS5.
@@GamersClinic yea but the other headsets you can use the mic on your controller when the headset it off. Unfortunately with this headset you can’t use the mic from your controller with the headset off I took them back for that reason

Hi Brian! Yes it supports 3D Audio for the PS5 and PC if you also have a Spatial Audio software such as Dobly Atmos or THX. ^^

Can you use Synapse with this?
Hi Eddie! The Kaira Pro doesn't show up on Synapse for now. You can only tune it with Razer's mobile app. If using for PC, consider checking out the Kraken V3 Pro. However, that one doesn't have bluetooth... (dunno why Razer's like this). If you really need bluetooth, then there's also the Barracuda Pro, but there's no haptic feedback.
