Liked the easy uncomplicated dress ups you did on solar. With our non stop NW Ohio wind, not spending a lot of money on lighting on the deck is perfect!
I love EVERYTHING!!! Especially the lantern. I have a bouquet of 6 solar lights in a vase on the vanity in my bathroom. I can go to the bathroom at night without having to turn the lights on, I love it! Thanks for all the fun ideas. I'm now going to binge watch all your videos tonight. I'll probably wake up in the morning with my tablet stuck to my face. God bless you. Jude, from Kentucky ✝️🐴🐦🌿❣️
Last year at dollar tree I found blue diamond jars similar to yours . Boy are they pretty with solar lights in them. I wish now that I had bought more of them. I just love the blue lights in the yard at night.
Ok, I've been upcycling and crafting for most my life, and I just want to say the rubber band thing in the beginning... GENIUS!!! I'm not even kidding! U have no idea how many things I've ruined from glue and well, u name it 😅 Great video!!!
TYFS - 👍🏻👍🏻 I’ve seen several videos using the solar lights but I have to say, I’ve not seen any of the ideas that you shared here 😱🙌🏻! Love these ideas 😃! Please stay safe 😷
My daughter took these charged with a diamond shapes on them put rope around the top and hung them from the dollar tree plant stake and my lanterns hanging in the yard
What about spraying the bottom of the dowel rods with rubber coating (for cars.) Before sticking them in the ground? Called Rubberized rust encapsulater or rubberized undercoating. Comes in spray pain cans.
I did similar with the same jar but used the lids with hangers from DT and added colored glass stones at bottom of jar to add bright color to the lighted design
when u need a light for a child perhaps during the nite or in a crisis situation these solar lights are wonderful they can be put by the bed for child or adult and u dont have to worry about them if they get dropped bc they dont break thk u for all your cute ideas I think they are wonderful~
I love the hanging one. I can see them on shepherd's hooks all around the yard. I've never seen that textured jar at my store. I'll have to look around.
My son suggested this when we had a two day outage and I don’t like the dark… It worked brilliantly, I was able to go to sleep… Thanks for reminding us all of this idea❤️
fyi: Rubber Bands come in clear too. I buy the tiny size for hair. I think there are like 100 of them in the pk, maybe more! To use them for snugging into candle holder just use several!
Thank you for sharing your ideas they are great. I would have liked to have seen the finished products lit up from a distance as well as the close-ups you’ve shown.
Well, I wish I had seen this before I bought a mason jar that hangs for $5 at the Target Dollar Spot!!! I couldn’t figure out how to do with the hanging parts. You are awesome! Luckily, I save my receipts. I’ll give it a try I’ll see what I come up with.
I bought a case of glass jars from Amazon with the hangers and solar fairy light lids. Cheaper than buying the jars and solar lights separately from Dollar Tree and making the hangers. If I remember right, I think the case with everything was $15
Not all stake lights fit to the textured jars. Be sure to check in the store. I made one year and next year the lights were smaller and fell right through the jar mouth. Frustrating, as they are so lovely on the patio.
These days Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Only, etc., have brooms and dust pans that have handles perfect for making tall solar lights - the lights sit right in the ends of them. Right now Dollar Tree sells a long black handle separately from attachments like mops, etc.
With the hanging lantern jar. If you bend your loops to the out side it will be tighter and less precarious. I started doing this a month ago. Great minds think alike I guess!
Watching your fabulous, interesting utube channel from Beautiful downtown Agency Iowa 😀. I watch a lot of day channels. I must say your channel is VERY VERY informative. I enjoy your creativity. Thank you for sharing your ideas, I'm impressed with your unusual creations, love them so I subscribed.
We lost electricity a couple times this winter. I think these ideals would serve us well as an alternate to an open flame of a candle or a kerosene lamp. Going back to the DT tomorrow to see if they have any solar lights in stock.
Dollar tree. Did you read the title of the video? They sell them there. How is that unbelievable? They don’t just sell $1.25 items. Some $5 isles. Beautiful jar by itself.
Hi Mary, I have tried gluing the lights onto jars in the past but that didn't keep moisture out for me. I don't know if silicone would work with better results or not. I chose to not use any kind of adhesive/sealer on my lantern and just take the light off of the jar every so often to empty it out if it does collect rain water/condensation etc.
I'm using someone else's idea which is to use dollar tree broom handles. Take the hanger top off and the light will fit right in. Leave the screw end on and screw it into the ground. Should last for years.
Geniuses way to make a wire to hang!
#replay. 1sr time watching. Like the solar lights!

They fit great into the top of a wine bottle! Great ideas thanks! Also if you lose power in your house the lights are great to bring into the house!

Would be nice if Dollar Tree would continue to stock those jars.

Love it!!
How long does a solar light last, before it just gets dull or quits. I know it's solar but just want know before I try and permanently E6000 it
Loce the ideal. its awesome.
What you made of the solar lights looks nice, just sad that there has not been a stronger solar light out on the market to work with.
I love the textured jars, but they don’t always carry them. I make fairy lights out of my solar panels, and that makes them even more beautiful.
You can do the same thing with ceiling fan globes
I bought several of the lights at Dollar Tree and later found the same ones at Walmart for $.98!
There are stronger lights. Lowe's sells 5 and 10 lumen solar lights, around 8.00 each. Dollar store sells cheap junk from china with 1 lumen.
Going to Walmart tomorrow. So thanks for the tip.
How much gas did you burn for the extra trip?
Great
Just found u😁 love ur ideas❤
Thank you!
I like this. But I would like to use some plastic jars outside. I need to check the store and my cabinets for some!!!
We lost electricity a couple times this winter. I think these ideals would serve us well as an alternate to an open flame of a candle or a kerosene lamp. Going back to the DT tomorrow to see if they have any solar lights in stock.
Check out battery operated camp lanterns
These are beautiful. Where did you get the jars used in the hanging lantern. I love this and would love to have some
They look like dollar tree jars, I saw a different idea using these on another person's video.
Hi Tricia, I found them at dollar tree. They get them in on and off at the store near me. Hope you are able to find some!
Dollar tree. Did you read the title of the video? They sell them there. How is that unbelievable? They don’t just sell $1.25 items. Some $5 isles. Beautiful jar by itself.
I'm saving my pretty amber supplement bottles to make hanging lanterns. Gotta go find me some wire :)
Great ideas. You are right the textured jar does look great at night. 👍💕🥰
Got any ideas on how to keep moisture from getting into jars
Hi Mary, I have tried gluing the lights onto jars in the past but that didn't keep moisture out for me. I don't know if silicone would work with better results or not. I chose to not use any kind of adhesive/sealer on my lantern and just take the light off of the jar every so often to empty it out if it does collect rain water/condensation etc.

do you know if can paint the lights glass in different clours blue or red
Dollar 💵 Tree broom sticks also work
