I'll say this NY has soooo many hustlers and street dude, cause its mad streets. I'll just say this, Jay, Dehaven and Bleek lived in my building. Jay might have not been on certain levels as far as gangsta or supplier, but he was doing what he do on a level greater than most. Actually Dehaven was that guy 1st and bought Jay in. Bleek was on a smaller scale but was hustling as well.

Yes, Jay was a hustler. He was moving work with Calvin Klein Bacote, Dehaven, Ty Ty, Emory, etc...he even hustled with Dame Dash when they connected. The reason you don't hear Jay name is because he wasn't a figure on that level but he moved weight. But a lot of guys in the mid 80s to early 90s did in NY. But he wasn't like a Preme, Fat Cat, etc...

    • @IENetworkTV

"On a Uptown hot block he got his side sprayed up" He's speaking about his friend Dehaven who was like a brother early in his life. Uptown is Harlem. Story goes they went to re-up in Harlem and someone tried to rob them and Dehaven was shot. They are no longer friends. Jay has taken shots at Dehaven in a few songs. Dehaven has several youtube videos throwing shots back at Jay. Jay states on the song "U Don't Know" that he came in the game with 900k. In the early 90's that's like 3 million in today's economy.

You say he's overrated but your reaction to What more can I say Threat tell a different story lol. You were pleasantly surprised by his bars and Flow You telling me that Jay and Big weren't on the same level on that I love the dough? The president's One go hard too I chose two over it because it has two verses compared to This one having three . Dead Presidents 3isokay but as good as1or2 . exactly what more can i say to me is the song that finally made me let go of Rakim being the goat and say j is if you listen to 3 songs Threat all i need and what more can i say you cant come out of that not saying he aint at least top 3 I could never consider pac the goat because his flow was not tight enough if you have heard as many rappers as i have heard they will all tell you Pac's flow ws not a great flow he was a great poet but not a great lyricist plus i will always feel a way about pac because he carried on that lie about biggie and puffy setting him up when he knew that was a lie.. Treach said it was not accurate everyone said pac knew big didn't set him up but he kept that lie going cause suge told him too and it was making money. People were after Biggie ever since Pac said he and puffy set him up and that is why big aint here right now. Pac aint here cause he had a big fuckin mouth and instead of being a rapper and giving the hood hope he decided to join in with suge and his thugs and stomp out a gang member well what do u think is gonna happen? The whole Puffy had pac killed is BS Maybe Puffy wanted Pac dead for sure but it's not a coincedence that after Pac jumped orlando he ends up dead hours later Puffy coudn't make Pac go jump orlando even keefe D said they were not planning on Killing pac that night he just so happened to jump Orlando and he remembered that Puffy had mentioned it to him so he said I might as well Kill him tonight. If pac does not go to Vegas that night and stomp out orlando he may still be alive to this day

Bruh I have to disagree with you Jay-Z is not overrated. I strongly suggest you listen to his catalog and really listen to his lyrics and how he puts his rhymes together. This has nothing to do with you liking Pac or feeling Pac is the best. You can think Pac is the best and still get down with other artists and respect the skills they bring to the game. Hip-Hop is about skills no matter where you come from or where you call home.

Was Jay a big drug dealer. Yes and why you dont here his name mentioned, well let me explain. The big dealers that we know about and talk about are Pre-Crack era dealers. These was coke dealers. Big money and less people getting it. They stood out but once the crack took hold , every corner had 20 niggas gettin it. We was in high school with better cars than the teachers . Getting Coke was this whole mysterious thang and you had to be plugged dudes had stores they sold out of but getting crack wholesale was easy and we sold it everywhere on every corner in every park. You would of had to live it to understand.

Weezy favorite rapper is Hov bro. You haven't listened to entire albums during the times they came from. Big knows Jay-z is better than him. Biggie's DJ Clark Kent told Biggie to his face that Jay-Z is better. Biggie sounds better saying lines but Jay-z says iller lines brother trust me. When Jay-z made brooklyn's finest he did his verses in 20 minutes biggie left the studio came back two weeks later with a verse for Hov. This is straight out of the mouth of DJ Clark Kent. @dextv

I react to music. I like for my subscribers to give me the history. It creates conversation and engagement. If you not one of the ppl that like to converse in the comments and give history then keep it moving bro. If the artist is good they’ll give me their history through the music.
