The point is the guy spent tens of thousands on this car and it has the same fault with the throttle body that has been found multiple times. Range Rover should either bring out a new improved part or fix these issues for free as it’s obviously a design fault

The free repair to the sticking throttle body isn't filing down the butterfly, it's banging a self-tapper in from underneath - Tbody off - so that it protrudes in just enough to stop the butterfly from knee-locking into the stuck position. There is no way all the people spending £6K to £12K on this repair went to a main dealership. They have been going to backstreet garages who think a fault code reader tells them what to change. It depends of how you drive. When the engine is cool the DPF loads up fast. So if you are only doing shorter trips you can gain 1-2 grams in 10 km. But when all temperatures are up and you are driving on highway you can get 1-2 grams in 60 km. So it really depends on how you drive these cars.

Amazing if the customer only looks at some of your previous videos he would see your going to be right on the issue, I guess your not a main steeler so not trustworthy lol
It there anybody here with RR/Jaguar 3.0D V6 engine and knows what is normal milage between active DPF regens? Regardless of driving style (city driving or highway only) I get from 100km to 200km max between regens. Is that normal with this engines? Or should it be more liked 500-800km?
It depends of how you drive. When the engine is cool the DPF loads up fast. So if you are only doing shorter trips you can gain 1-2 grams in 10 km. But when all temperatures are up and you are driving on highway you can get 1-2 grams in 60 km. So it really depends on how you drive these cars.
So this one spent £6000 for no real reason but wasn't willing to spend £500 to solve the problem. He/she/they/them deserve to get ripped off then.
Hope you charged him for the throttle body, tight git not believing you 🤡
I am a Honda CR-V, type R and S2000 guy. I'm not a Toyota guy. But the moment you compared Range Rover and Toyota on reliability and in fact you placed the RR above the Toyota...Sir, with all due respect to you as a mechanic, which is not much after that statement, you have lost some (being charitable) credibility in the automotive industry. Please bear in mind that I love Range Rovers, and I want to have one but only because i love being under the car and on the engines a lot. The Range Rover is a very stylish car, but by God, it's a problematic car like no other.
They're essentially a Ford engine. Which well, Fords are junk imo.
That MAP sensor has never been cleaned. Never. Nothing wrong with the car except the owner who doesn't look after it.
Don't keep saying "I believe". It sounds like you have lied about something.
Get the information or check facts first.
If you are not sure or haven't checked something, say so, no one is bothered!!!
Give it a rest. It's just his turn of phrase.
