It's sad that we are now closer to the 35th anniversary than we are to the 30th. It still feels like yesterday that this went live. Time goes by as quick as the hedgehog these days
Feeling sad is one way to look at it. Another way is to realize we're nearing thirty-five years of inspiration, and you, me, and other fans have had this great time of the same feeling. Some younger than sonic, some much older. But we all have this connection all these years later, and I'm glad we do, just like I'll be glad we have this connection when we hit the big 40.
I started playing Sonic 1 year ago and I feel like I've been playing it all my life, Sonic is the reason I'm here and I'm happy that Sonic is turning 35 years

Man, I'm 31 years old today. My mother was the one who bought me my first Genesis and Not For Resale copy of Sonic The Hedgehog when I was 4. My mother immigrated from Mexico with my dad to California and they worked for every penny they earned, and we didn't have a lot and we didn't earn a lot. We lived with my cousins and they would not let me play their gaming systems. My mother bought me an entire system and I loved it to pieces, I'd play it every day and thats where it started for me. It wasn't until I was older that I really realized what it meant to buy (for us) an expensive console with the money we didn't have to spare just so I could be happy. I thanked my mom again because that purchase took a lot to buy back in the day and I appreciate her so much for it.
My mom also bought my brothers and I a Sega Genesis back when Sonic 1 was new. It was one of the most amazing days of my life, because it was such a surprise purchase. And it introduced me to my favorite video game character of all time. I'm happy something very similar happened for you too!

This was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen. I got choked up when Emerald Hill Zone played because that was my first Sonic game and Sonic has had such a huge impact on my life. Thank you so much for everything.
I saw this show last night in Chicago. It was incredible from beginning to end. So much energy and nostalgia! One of my favorite parts was the audience, during the 2nd half of Reach for the Stars, they started turning on all their phone lights. It looked like a field of stars in the crowd and was done with no prompting from the singer.
I was also in that crowd and can honestly say that it was easily the most loud, energetic and hyped crowd I have ever been a part of. I seriously hope they come back around again soon, I swear I’ll never miss a show or any other Sonic event that comes near 🥺🫶🫶

Im 36, started playing when i was just 3 years old and back when Sonic was absolute peak in his infancy. Neighboring kids getting down with Super Mario while I was dominating Sonic. They eventually turned a corner towards Sonic and to this day always give Mario the hat of honor but also give Sonic that high five honor. They couldn't handle his speed and preferred Mario more but always loved the rush they got from Sonic. Today, that little blue devil still has a genuine spot in the cockpit of my heart as well a tattoo on my body. Gotta go fast buddy, I'll try to keep up.
Just turned 38 and for my birthday I went to the Newark stop of the Symphony tour and it was life changing for me. Being there with fans across the spectrum of age gender race felt so special. It felt like a collection of positive energy with everyone from families to cosplayers showing love for the blue blur himself and his cast of characters. The music made me feel emotions I haven’t had in such a long time especially as I’ve been in a bad place recently with some family turmoil. I would love to go again if I could.

Johnny Gioeli's voice sounds the exact same that it did over twenty years ago, and most of his Sonic songs require him singing at the top of his lungs. This man is a freaking legend.

Gotta love how they did "Knight of the Wind" and it looked like it was over and they said "Ya want one more? Ya want one more, huh? Here's City Escape!" and after that was done they're just like "Nah we're not done" and pulls Live and Learn out. It was so good to hear Crush 40 again.
For me after they played City Escape I was wondering are we going to leave out Live and Learn? To my surprise they was saving it as their last song lol 😂.

this franchise as never went down because this franchise always goes up like sonic himself, when he gets on the floor he never gives up, the things he taught us is to never give up on your goal/dream to be the best and keep on running to the stars.
The fact that crush40 is still able to come together and kick ass on all these classic songs is just amazing. The vocals are still on point, and hearing the symphony mixed in with songs like live and learn sounds great.

Yep. it sure was. This symphony was the best honestly on Sonic's birthday. Crush 40th will always be the best band in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. I hope he is doing music's for Sonic Rangers 2022.
The fact that they brought in a rock concert to their anniversary symphony tells you everything you need to know about the personality of the Sonic games. What other series can get by with something like that? It's just so 90's.
Bands. Those bands actually worked with Sega in the past to make some of those songs. Crush 40 did the Sonic Adventure games, Sonic Heroes and others. Mostly done in the 2000s than the 90s. If its Sonic music that is rock n roll, more than likely from the 2000s. 2d is mostly electronic pop. Plus Nathan Sharp was the special guest.

I don't often come across a community that is so dedicated to its work and has such a fan base with its huge story. Sonic franchise looks fun. I haven't interacted much with Sonic other than the Winter Olympics game and the Sonic Boom series blabla, but when I look for more, I feel like I'm diving into a huge ocean, I end up getting lost in it😅
Same the only Sonic related game I played was Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games and I love the Sonic Boom show and the Sonic movies but I never consumed more than that but I love watching videos about the franchise and listening to some of the songs

The fact that Sonic the Hedgehog’s birthday is going to be his 34th anniversary next year and years by this was Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary. These are probably one of the best music Symphony of all time. If there is going to be one in 2024 or 2025 I’m definitely going to be there. Literally feels like this day was like yesterday when this was released even though this was 3 years ago. Thank you Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Team for making this video. Time goes by so fast and we’re already almost halfway through the year of 2024.

Savage Nation it’s what Arin of Game Grumps said his friend called it one time and according to Arin, because his friend said it, that must be what that genre of rock(that some might call corny/cringey but are still totally “bangers” that “slap”, as the hip youth says) is called lol I think he said/explained it during their SA1 play through at the end of Sonic’s story mode It was silly in the moment and made me chuckle and shake my head, but quite often when listening to sonic music, or rock music similar to it(in style of lyrics), I catch myself calling it buttrock as well I’ve decided it’s funny and I can’t fight it so I’ve given in and have a buttrock playlist on my computer’s music library lol
Sit down I'm going to tell a story. I was a weird kid. Having only a big sister, I was exposed to girly music only, therefore I did not really listen to music at all during my early childhood. It wasn't until Live and Learn that I found out music can be good. After that I started looking for more songs in the genre and discovered the world of music. All thanks to the soundtrack in a videogame. The impact Crush 40 had on my life cannot be overstated.
No matter how odd, or buggy at launch, it feels like the quality of Sonic game music has _never_ dipped. This concert left me with a huge smile on my face. It's up there with the Undertale concert in terms of quality!
I hit one of the worst depressions of my entire life in high school because I was severely bullied for my stuttering. So badly, that I would refuse to talk. I got back into Sonic because of the nostalgia my sophomore year and I used Sonic as a coping mechanism for my depression. Because Sonic made me think of my happy childhood instead of the pain I was dealing with. I downloaded Sonic on my iPod touch at that time it helped me deal with my depression. Along with the franchise in general. I will always appreciate Sonic for that.
this version of live and learn is unironically one of the most advanced and best musical orchestrations that I have ever heard. Top 3 best songs in my book, top 25 in history.

It's sad that we are now closer to the 35th anniversary than we are to the 30th. It still feels like yesterday that this went live. Time goes by as quick as the hedgehog these days
Feeling sad is one way to look at it. Another way is to realize we're nearing thirty-five years of inspiration, and you, me, and other fans have had this great time of the same feeling. Some younger than sonic, some much older. But we all have this connection all these years later, and I'm glad we do, just like I'll be glad we have this connection when we hit the big 40.
I’m only 13 but when I play these classic games I feel like I’ve been playing since the beginning, if that makes sense.

Man, I'm 31 years old today. My mother was the one who bought me my first Genesis and Not For Resale copy of Sonic The Hedgehog when I was 4. My mother immigrated from Mexico with my dad to California and they worked for every penny they earned, and we didn't have a lot and we didn't earn a lot. We lived with my cousins and they would not let me play their gaming systems. My mother bought me an entire system and I loved it to pieces, I'd play it every day and thats where it started for me. It wasn't until I was older that I really realized what it meant to buy (for us) an expensive console with the money we didn't have to spare just so I could be happy. I thanked my mom again because that purchase took a lot to buy back in the day and I appreciate her so much for it.

My mom also bought my brothers and I a Sega Genesis back when Sonic 1 was new. It was one of the most amazing days of my life, because it was such a surprise purchase. And it introduced me to my favorite video game character of all time. I'm happy something very similar happened for you too!

I saw this show last night in Chicago. It was incredible from beginning to end. So much energy and nostalgia! One of my favorite parts was the audience, during the 2nd half of Reach for the Stars, they started turning on all their phone lights. It looked like a field of stars in the crowd and was done with no prompting from the singer.
It was stunning. If we were the most energetic crowd as they said, then I would happily take that emblem of honor.
I was also in that crowd and can honestly say that it was easily the most loud, energetic and hyped crowd I have ever been a part of. I seriously hope they come back around again soon, I swear I’ll never miss a show or any other Sonic event that comes near 🥺🫶🫶

Im 36, started playing when i was just 3 years old and back when Sonic was absolute peak in his infancy. Neighboring kids getting down with Super Mario while I was dominating Sonic. They eventually turned a corner towards Sonic and to this day always give Mario the hat of honor but also give Sonic that high five honor. They couldn't handle his speed and preferred Mario more but always loved the rush they got from Sonic. Today, that little blue devil still has a genuine spot in the cockpit of my heart as well a tattoo on my body. Gotta go fast buddy, I'll try to keep up.

Just turned 38 and for my birthday I went to the Newark stop of the Symphony tour and it was life changing for me. Being there with fans across the spectrum of age gender race felt so special. It felt like a collection of positive energy with everyone from families to cosplayers showing love for the blue blur himself and his cast of characters. The music made me feel emotions I haven’t had in such a long time especially as I’ve been in a bad place recently with some family turmoil. I would love to go again if I could.

The fact that they brought in a rock concert to their anniversary symphony tells you everything you need to know about the personality of the Sonic games. What other series can get by with something like that? It's just so 90's.
Bands. Those bands actually worked with Sega in the past to make some of those songs. Crush 40 did the Sonic Adventure games, Sonic Heroes and others. Mostly done in the 2000s than the 90s. If its Sonic music that is rock n roll, more than likely from the 2000s. 2d is mostly electronic pop. Plus Nathan Sharp was the special guest.

I don't often come across a community that is so dedicated to its work and has such a fan base with its huge story. Sonic franchise looks fun. I haven't interacted much with Sonic other than the Winter Olympics game and the Sonic Boom series blabla, but when I look for more, I feel like I'm diving into a huge ocean, I end up getting lost in it😅
Same the only Sonic related game I played was Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games and I love the Sonic Boom show and the Sonic movies but I never consumed more than that but I love watching videos about the franchise and listening to some of the songs

Didn’t look myself after the show at Symphony Hall on Sunday; probably because I heard the shirts sold out quick and didn’t want to stock up on too much stuff?
I just went to the Newark tour stop and there still isn’t a physical CD for this music but on iTunes and Amazon there is a digital album for this specific version of the set list.
We all know Hyper Potions was crying when they got to hear their very own music at the end of the 30th anniversary show, like come on!
I know I was, I can't imagine how happy Hyper Potions must feel right now.

The fact that Sonic the Hedgehog’s birthday is going to be his 34th anniversary next year and years by this was Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary. These are probably one of the best music Symphony of all time. If there is going to be one in 2024 or 2025 I’m definitely going to be there. Literally feels like this day was like yesterday when this was released even though this was 3 years ago. Thank you Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Team for making this video. Time goes by so fast and we’re already almost halfway through the year of 2024.

It wasn't until Live and Learn that I found out music can be good. After that I started looking for more songs in the genre and discovered the world of music. All thanks to the soundtrack in a videogame. The impact Crush 40 had on my life cannot be overstated.
No matter how odd, or buggy at launch, it feels like the quality of Sonic game music has _never_ dipped.
This concert left me with a huge smile on my face. It's up there with the Undertale concert in terms of quality!
I can name a couple cases (Sonic 4. Sonic Forces.) where the music was sorely lacking.

I hit one of the worst depressions of my entire life in high school because I was severely bullied for my stuttering. So badly, that I would refuse to talk. I got back into Sonic because of the nostalgia my sophomore year and I used Sonic as a coping mechanism for my depression. Because Sonic made me think of my happy childhood instead of the pain I was dealing with. I downloaded Sonic on my iPod touch at that time it helped me deal with my depression. Along with the franchise in general. I will always appreciate Sonic for that.
Sonic has done so much for my mentality during depression. I appreciate this series more than anything for that
this version of live and learn is unironically one of the most advanced and best musical orchestrations that I have ever heard. Top 3 best songs in my book, top 25 in history.
