I sound like a broken record, but another great reaction. You have to give Chimaev a 10-8 1st round, even though he didn't hurt Usman badly. Personally, I gave Usman rounds 2 and 3 for a draw. I'm not upset about the official decision, though. It was close. You gotta give it up for Usman, took the fight on short notice, and almost beat this really good undefeated fighter. At some point in November, before UFC 295, I want to do a live stream ranking my top 10 favorite UFC fights of all time! Let me know if you have any interest in going on with me! I agree with Sean Strickland that Chimaev does not deserve a title shot. He had some issues with Burns in a 3 round fight that showed flaws in his cardio at welterweight. He struggled even harder with a scrape by win over Usman. Has not had 1 fight against anyone in the top 15 at Middleweight although he did beat #8 ranked Jack Hermansson in a freestyle wrestling match back in Nov 2021 ... and that doesn't count. He has done absolutely ZERO to earn a shot at Sean's belt at the moment. He needs to either fight Paulo Costa (ranked 6) OR Roman Dolidze (ranked 7) BEFORE even being considered to fight a top 5 fighter. If he wins those . give him his shot.

He clawed his way to the top and he destroyed the divisions champion Israel Adesanya. He EARNED his title the right way. Chimaev hasn't fought anyone in the top 15. He doesn't deserve shit.
