The Bible teaches that both marriage and singleness are good gifts from God. Our decisions relating to either must be governed by God’s Word. Thankfully, 1 Corinthians chapter 7 gives us divine instruction on marriage and various issues related to it.

I thank the Lord every day for my wife. I was a fake believer - attending church every Sunday, Sunday night, Wednesdays for 38+ years but never ever living like a Christian. We met when we were 'up in age' and I attended church with her. But my behavior toward her and life was anything but Christian. I gave her every reason to 'just give up' since her husband was not a believer. However she remained faithful for over four years. Then 'God' called me to repentance and one of the first things I did was go to her, tell her, and ask her for her forgiveness. She of course was extremely skeptical but here it is two+ years later and 'God' is keeping me right. Not me 'changing' or 'turning a new leaf' but genuine living like a Christian. She is the one - even before 'God' got me right - that got us started listening to the Wisdom Journey every morning at breakfast. Before 'God' got me right, it was just blah blah blah, whatever. But now that 'God' has gotten me right, Wisdom Journey has become a very important first thing in the morning part of our lives. She is gone away for two months to have her knees replaced so here I am, listening without her. Again, I thnk the Lord she stayed faithful and did not give up. Thank you Stephen Davey and your staff.
