Dude thank you for the video this is a topic most people don't cover , I would suggest getting a propane blowtorch you can get the propane canisters for camping. I always use it when metal Parts won't budge, a little Heat actually is my go to before WD-40 obviously using heat to get parts out that you're just going to throw away. Thanks again
Thanks for making this man. There are no other “change bearings on an Apollo scooter” out there. I have a phantom but the process and inner workings are the same. Honestly, getting the motor cover off took a minute because I was afraid I’d break something. Thanks again!
I felt the same exact way when taking it off of mine! And I figured if I couldn’t find it out there then other people like me wished there was a video on it too. Happy I could help.
@ciprianstanciu As far as I know, yes. The sizes for all of these scooter wheels are pretty similar but I would double check with a scooter repair shop or Apollo just to be sure.
my front right bearing on my kukirin s3 is making some noise when im pushing it by hand, is it still good to ride or should i look into it right away. Its not wobbling but it sound kind of dry. BlazerBeam do you have any opinions on what i should do?
Look for evidence of rust or places where water could get in. From experience, I would say the sooner you deal with it the better. Could be brake disc rubbing, could be a bearing going out but either way, putting it off will just make it harder to repair later on.
I have a Road Runner RS5 Pro, both motors are making a knocking noise. I wanna replace the bearings. Wondering if they're using the same size bearings...
I bent my rim on my Solar ff lite , new wheel and rim is coming installed already but I have to put the hub on the new rim . As a novice you think I can do it on my own are do I need to take it to a shop?
I think a novice can do it. I’d say give it a shot and if you find yourself in over your head then take it to a shop. Just watch some RUclips videos and take your time
@@TheBlazerBeam appreciate it bro , I took off the old rim and tire and disc rotor and slid out the motor, now I’m just waiting on the new rim and tire to come in solar already put it together for me ! My confidence level is much higher now thank you!
Mine was making a clanking noise every rotation. Then I stopped using it for a week and it completely seized up. Think it’ll be harder than your repair?
It’s possible. I saw evidence of rust all over the hub, the wheel would rock side to side and I let it sit like that for a while. I’d say don’t let it stay in that condition too long or the repair will get harder
My bro. If ypu need to do this again. Get a jet lighter and pick one point of the bearing. Get it super hot in one spot. (Preferably the inside so you don't kill the paint) then rapidly cool it. It will cause it to shrink. Even if it's only .05 of a millimeter it'll help your cause. If it don't come out do it again directly 180 on the other side.
After the research I did and verifying by checking the stock bearing, I found it was the 6003 bearing. If you have a scooter other than the ghost it is possible it uses the 6202 bearing instead.
thank u god I have a Iscooter ix3 not even a year old 800w rear motor that wobbles like a bitch? and like u said its hard to find a video showing people how to do it yourself thank u how did u go about finding the right bearings
I used Reddit forums to figure it out but it looks like overall it’s pretty universal. If you can’t find the info you can always take the hub apart and physically look at the number on the side of your bearing
I had the bearings and tool in just a couple days. I would have had to do work for a new motor too which was a couple hundred, plus shipping, and over a month wait. Sometimes it’s better to use your time to build a skill, do it yourself and now I’m set up to fix things again on this scooter and others.
Great video - thanks. I have the same scooter. There are 2 bearings in each wheel. The cable side uses 6003-2RS and the brake side uses 6202-2RS.

Are they the same bearings for the Phantom?

Does the motor have to go back in a certain position I have a pure and saying fault in "motor hall" E7
Thanks for the video is that a 60 volt 1200w what size the bearing?
This is a 52V 800W and I have the bearing listed in the description
Thanks for video helped me get started on fixing it

Just take it apart and find out. It’ll be fiiiiiiinnnnnnneeeeeee…..
@@TheBlazerBeam In progress. Ordered a bearing puller to get the bearings off the axle. Other than that, the motor looks very clean.
6203RS on the cable side, 6202RS on the brake side. 😁
@Maxthafirst well would you look at that!
@TheBlazerBeam I'm just hoping replacing the bearings gets rid of the knocking.

Wich bearing size you use???
They are 6003 bearings. There is a link in the description for the exact ones I used.
Shouln't be that 6202 bearing, i.e. rather than 6003?

The installation is correct, but the motor connector in which you put the cables is outdated technology, there are much better connectors!

Bro, a brand new motor wheel would cost only a couple hundred, your time and tool purchase is way more worth than that
