Hello and welcome to Take Time! A Channel for watch enthusiasts by watch enthusiasts. Thanks for joining me today on another video. Развлечения
I was about to order some unbranded MN straps (for less than half the price). Seeing your video review and especially your interview with Erika made me realize that, while the idea of an elastic parachute webbing strap is not originally hers, bringing this style of strap to the watch enthusiast market is thanks to her. (and her collector husband, and so on). This made me want to get her product instead, despite the higher price. I'm not rich by any means, but I want to support people who create good things.
On the other hand, from reviews I have read, I think I will also try some of the other brands such as Nick Mankey or the Watch Steward eventually. A review I found says the materials in each are different - I want to test and see which will suit my wrist the best.
I'm really excited to see how the Erika's original will feel! For some reason, I have always found Nato straps strangely uncomfortable. They seem like they should be really good: Nylon fabric instead of cold hard steel, sweaty leather or sticky rubber. But then you find that you have to have them just a little too tight or just a little too loose. Too loose, and the watch flops around horribly, especially since there is no weight to the strap like a bracelet would. Too tight, and that fabric comfort is lost. Another problem, as with all watch straps I've tried, is that on the few times I work or spend time at a computer, the buckle, clasp or strap itself digs into the wrist. Natos offer some opportunity to move the buckle, but never nearly enough to sort the problem. Seems like this might have some remedies to these issues by being elastic, yet still light and not irritating to the skin, and allowing for more freedom of placement for the watch head and buckle.
No idea why I wrote such a long text. Maybe it's 'cause I'm on holiday and didn't want to go outside... Anyway, thanks so much for the reviews, interviews and instructionals. Have a subscribe and a great weekend!
YOU CRAZY🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ali sells them for $0.99.
Very nice. Thanks for tipping me off to these - had somehow never heard of them until your recent videos.
+Tim Lara You are very much welcome. I remember seeing one of these on Instagram. Took me a while to hound down exactly what I was looking for. So glad I found them: best alternative to a traditional nylon strap I’ve ever found.
this answered a ton of pre-sale questions! Thank you for taking the time to make the video!
thank you and thank you for this video. i was stuck for awhile..
Thanks for this useful tutorial 👍🏼
Thanks Brah! Going to order one now
Many thanks for doing the clear guide 😁👍
No problem 👍
You the man, thanks!
Great tutorial! Thanks so much!
You are so welcome!
Excellent tutorial!
+The Watch Hipster Thank you man! Very excited to have it featured over on Erika’s Originals. Was fun to shoot, for sure.
Thank you for introducing this strap to us. We appreciate that.
Nice video! Thanks!
Perfect timing! Waiting on a 20mm
Black Ops from Erika! Thx!
+Robert Sanchez Niceee! Man, I want a third one, smaller size... I don’t “need” it, but man do I want a “Vintage” one.
Love that prototype colored strap. Any idea when Erika is coming out with the new colours. Cheers Pat!!
+deegz Thank you, as do I! Her new site went up today and I see a few new options... No word on the colored variant releases yet. Her “Lumed Centerline” is officially up though!
Epic works with the bootleg one I bought on amazon
Helpful video. Made wearing my Erika strap a breeze.
Thank you for posting. What watch is that?
Just ordered a navy blue one from erikas site. Not cheap but I think it'll last a long time and be well worth the money. #erikasoriginals
Excellent tutorial video! the voice-over section where we were seeing the watch and strap itself had a very "professional instructional tone" to the whole thing. I've watched other "instructional" videos on watched but none have that polished tone. Excellent work mate!
*Thank you.* Believe it or not, this tutorial was really fun to shoot. I don't usually shoot these, but I'm pretty happy with it overall.
What to say. You just saved my ass. Thanks a lot.
How are you supposed to get the MN buckle attached to the adjuster thing WITH THE WATCH ON YOUR WRIST?
Exactly.. I'm sitting here still wondering how to attach it.
Great tutorial. Definitely getting one. Also nice watch, what’s the ref #
Check it out here: Seiko Fieldmaster SBDC035 Review - the Automatic Tuna We've All Wanted ruclips.net/video/D3X3MBJZM0Q/видео.html
Didn't buy an Erika strap but rather one from AliExpress for $3. Looks the same build as the one showed but anyone else have the fasten buckle all the way at the top of the watch to get it tight? Maybe my wrist is really that skinny...
Which watch is that?
Thanks m8
Of course!
They're very nice straps. Are they worth that much? Probably not but these are very nice straps. Guess you get what you pay for.
Would have been happier to see the price cut in half but either way. Thanks for the vid.
MERCI !!
Mine just arrived. It is easy to install but ii us difficult to insert the M⚓️N buckle.
What version of the tuna is in this video?
*Seiko SBDC035* - I’ll link a video review I did here: ruclips.net/video/D3X3MBJZM0Q/видео.html
I find it impossible to hook on to the keeper. Maybe I have a bad one. I cant use it. Quality control not very good.
Nope, not a “bad one.” It takes a bit of practice, but you should be able to push the keeper up and off the wrist while placing the hook onto it. It took me a while to get use to, but once learned it’s a great method of securing this to your wrist.
Thanks for the tip Patrick. I finally got it. wearing it today on my Seiko Orange Monster. Looks and feels great. When I have mastered the technique I will put it on my Tudor Black Bay where it belongs.
Thanks for the after sales service. Glad I bought this strap after watching your video.
88 DOLLARS???? I GOT THE SAME ELASTIC STRAP AT ALIEXPRES FOR 4 BUCKS, WHAT THAAAAA FFFFFFFOOOOKKKKKKK
when is SOTC
+BenDangS I’m surprised folks want to see my collection that much, haha. As I mentioned to someone else, likely January. I have pieces out for repair and things I’m moving around. My collection is largely unsettled currently.
The straps are awesome but the website is not very user friendly .
Thanks for the content .
Aye, I’ll do the next one 👌 I only worked on the tutorial, haha.
I was miles off, thanks! xD
I just bought a 2003 Alpinist GMT and am thinking of buying an EO strap for it. Wanna sell me that prototype? Haha. My Alpinist has a creme/white dial.

Oh man, love those models... Umm, shoot, haha. I couldn't, but I don't know when they officially release! Sorry to say... You'll have to hang tight and wait for an announcement on her website. I know it was Erika's intention to release them sooner rather than later.
Are people actually buying these at the prices they're asking? Basically an elastic NATO for around $75 bucks? I think I'll pass.
$12 on aliexpress
Got the exact same thing for $11.99 on Amazon. Ali sells them for $0.99 if you're willing to wait.
Beware, you can find this type of bracelet for 20 euros on Amazon, Ebay and Straposphère. They are the same. Erika margins a lot on her bracelets.
So what? She's the one who made it popular and there's plenty of handiwork involved. Credit where it's due.
@@JiiHate Are you dumb ? So: 20 EUROS, morron.
I have had six MN straps from other companies than EO and they are not even close of being EO good...
@@JiiHateJust what i wanted to say.
Such a rip off. I bought erikas and a no name. Quality difference is very minimal. Save ur money.
P1$$ take of a price.
Truly disgusting.
An really rotten design. I am sorry I wasted my money on this ridiculous strap.
What watch is that?
That is an older, Seiko Fieldmaster. They’ve redesigned the case sooo many times. They did a brief range of “Tuna” Fieldmasters.
