    I was about to order some unbranded MN straps (for less than half the price). Seeing your video review and especially your interview with Erika made me realize that, while the idea of an elastic parachute webbing strap is not originally hers, bringing this style of strap to the watch enthusiast market is thanks to her. (and her collector husband, and so on). This made me want to get her product instead, despite the higher price. I'm not rich by any means, but I want to support people who create good things.
    On the other hand, from reviews I have read, I think I will also try some of the other brands such as Nick Mankey or the Watch Steward eventually. A review I found says the materials in each are different - I want to test and see which will suit my wrist the best.
    I'm really excited to see how the Erika's original will feel! For some reason, I have always found Nato straps strangely uncomfortable. They seem like they should be really good: Nylon fabric instead of cold hard steel, sweaty leather or sticky rubber. But then you find that you have to have them just a little too tight or just a little too loose. Too loose, and the watch flops around horribly, especially since there is no weight to the strap like a bracelet would. Too tight, and that fabric comfort is lost. Another problem, as with all watch straps I've tried, is that on the few times I work or spend time at a computer, the buckle, clasp or strap itself digs into the wrist. Natos offer some opportunity to move the buckle, but never nearly enough to sort the problem. Seems like this might have some remedies to these issues by being elastic, yet still light and not irritating to the skin, and allowing for more freedom of placement for the watch head and buckle.
    No idea why I wrote such a long text. Maybe it's 'cause I'm on holiday and didn't want to go outside... Anyway, thanks so much for the reviews, interviews and instructionals. Have a subscribe and a great weekend!

      +Tim Lara You are very much welcome. I remember seeing one of these on Instagram. Took me a while to hound down exactly what I was looking for. So glad I found them: best alternative to a traditional nylon strap I’ve ever found.

    Excellent tutorial video! the voice-over section where we were seeing the watch and strap itself had a very "professional instructional tone" to the whole thing. I've watched other "instructional" videos on watched but none have that polished tone. Excellent work mate!

    Didn't buy an Erika strap but rather one from AliExpress for $3. Looks the same build as the one showed but anyone else have the fasten buckle all the way at the top of the watch to get it tight? Maybe my wrist is really that skinny...

    I find it impossible to hook on to the keeper. Maybe I have a bad one. I cant use it. Quality control not very good.

    • @TakeTimewPatrickMarlett
      @TakeTimewPatrickMarlett  6 лет назад +2

      Nope, not a “bad one.” It takes a bit of practice, but you should be able to push the keeper up and off the wrist while placing the hook onto it. It took me a while to get use to, but once learned it’s a great method of securing this to your wrist.
