Kai Waa Strong Maliko Race

The Annual Kai Wa'a Strong Maliko Race went off on Saturday the 18th of May with pretty clean conditions. I made a big mistake in the first few minutes where I hulied and lost about 45 seconds getting back on. I made up a bunch of time and I am still proud of my finish.
My camera dies as we were all coming into the finish line! It was a great finish since all our crew was together racing hard to cross the line first.

Were you using the stingray paddle? How do you like it?

Yes I love it very much! The catch is great and you don't have to bury the blade as much so you can paddle faster. I also bury the blade and it feels the same as a normal paddle so it's the best of both worlds for me!
