Hey, sorry I just saw your question. There are some new effects that show up for download from time to time, but I haven't seen anything new that's specifically targeted at harmonica. But there are a few harmonica patches (pre-configured mixes of different effects) created by a player from Japan. They're not radically different compared to what came on the unit, more like a different approach to the same ideas. There is a feedback suppressor included as one of the virtual pedals, so you can add it to one of the 5 slots. I have not used it because I wanted all the slots for other uses. I do use an external noise gate to control feedback (Boss) and have found that effective. The Zoom also has noise gate built in, but I haven't tried it, again because I wanted the slots for other pedals.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by coupling. Can you explain what you mean? I've used it live with my Harp Gear 2 and direct to the PA without problems. However, I have found that the "funky" patches (using auto-Wah or envelope filter) don't come through that well when I use the Harp Gear. I created my own patch and cranked the settings to the point where I didn't like the sound in headphones, but it cut through the mix better on stage and sounded better.

I have this pedal .....i found all but the acoustic guitar and mod fx totally useless and removed them to free up space for the fx i like .....the harmonica tones were crap
