Navy seals had problems with Beretta due to them using faulty ammunition. Beretta even sued US government and won. P226 was experiencing failures too with out of spec navy ammo
You sir , are absolutely correct . I purchased a P226 Dark Elite in 9 mm . I absolutely love this pistol . Mine came with aluminum grips and of course the combat night sights . What a great gun . Good informative video .
Favorite sidearm for years and my duty sidearm! Absolutely hands down my favorite firearm and always reliable for me, most comfortable handgun I have to shoot. (I’ve put hundreds of hours and thousands of rounds behind it). Doesn’t matter how long it’s been for me it’s like riding a bike!
Still have my very first one purchased slightly used in summer 1986, Date code = 1984. Purchased another 3 years later with K-Cote finish, it's date code = 1986. Awesome pistols, thanks for this content👍 Outstanding job !
You made a minor error while describing the DAK function. It is a DAO with a light trigger pull due to the Kellermann modification. As such the trigger pull is the same ALL THE TIME. It is NEVER in single action mode (with hammer cocked).
I love the P226 and have several in 9mm and a P227 in 45ACP. I sent my Mk25 and the 227 to Sig for an action enhancement and it transformed the guns into a much smoother trigger, particularly in double action. These guns are very robust and reliable.
Nice shooting bro, no flinch or nuffin. I still catch myself flinching sometimes but once I warmed up it seems to go away after a mag or two. Only with pistols though.
gosh damn!!!! when your shooting you make the kick look like you shooting a .45 i bought this 7 years ago and i cant seem to zero with this gun.... im very close with the slide sights but with optics i cant even get on paper but with my high point garbage gun i can shoot a dust molecule off a needlepoint i just dont get it
The 2022 is a great gun. I think I like the trigger on that one more than the trigger on my 226 Mk25. When I bought mine, the salesman asked if it was my first SIG. When I told him that it was, he just smiled at me and said it won't be my last. He was right.
I adopted mine in 1987 It is still going strong. A great shooter

I love mine- a LEO trade-in in .40S&W, for a third of the price of a new one. Easy to customize. Track driver.
Me too except mine is a 229. Excellent pistol!
@@fanman8102 I have one of those, too. Great Gun as well.
If you can't have a Sig P226, but own a Taurus G2C you CAN use the magazines of a P226 in your G2C.
@Synthgunner Yes for real, and the same goes for the P228/9 magazines too.

That was my first full size firearm about 25 years ago.
Love 2022 embarases my friends when we shoot and they get out shot then we swap and they shoot it hahaha super accurate
Can you characterize the P226 "Select"?
Also, how can we convince Sig to start making the P227 again?

Which model was the one being demonstrated? I really don't care too much for the enlarged beaver's tail model.

The German made P228/P226 9mm w/Mec-Gar hi capacity mags is my favorite!
Bought the MK25… love it!
Same here. Love mine.
Back when I shot USPSA, the 226 was my preferred choice
Still a great pistol. I have a Legion and a Mk25.
I aim to get my hands on a Mk 25. I wish there was a Surplus of them
I got my CA MK-25. Everytime I see that chamber indicator it makes me mad.

Keep rocking the highpoint then.
You didn't mention the p226 Tacops that comes with 4 20rd mags.
Sig actually out performed the m9 in reliability but the m9 was way cheaper for the military
They had like one less failure out of thousands but I believe the beretta had 10 percent less failures in the mud tests
Good Video, I like the Sig, as opposed to the glock, Thanks for posting. 👍
You forgot the polamer 226 the 2022. The best kept secret. Adopted by a few countries.

He was right.
I’d give my left @#$ for one
If you can't have a P226, just ....just, keep wanting
😎✌👌👍🖖🤓
Get,a,Glock,19
Not everyone likes the glock
did you mean to use commas?
