It’s crazy how much controversy and backlash this song got when it first came out because they portrayed her message the wrong way and thought she was saying god was actually a woman when the song was meant to be sexual. I thought she made it pretty clear in the video but back then a lot of people didn’t really catch on somehow lol I thought she made it fairly obvious in the video what she meant 😂 love the reaction btw!!!!❤️
@A Dereje okay but the song isn’t to be taken religiously, she’s not talking about Christianity or God. God is a woman is merely a song about women empowerment, the power of our bodies and presence and how it affects society around us, men specifically. It’s more a feminist song. It shows how strong women are and we can be who we want because we are at the top of the universe. And also it’s also sexual lol basically the female vagina is heavenly. And anyone who has a problem with this song is either men with huge egos and who like to degrade women, or someone who’s too stupid enough to understand the true meaning of the song. But of course we expected controversy, it’s just about how you view it.
