- We woke up to a total score! Dreamy offshore peelers at Ryan's secret location here on the Catch Surf road trip. Less than two weeks until I can paddle out & surf myself! I'm truly looking forward to that more than anything. Thanks everyone for the stoke & support FOR THE DREAM!

Honestly the older I get the more UV protection goggles seem like a good idea. We all wear sunglasses and swear by them, but then go hours in the water with no eye protection.......

Yeah I'm hearing ya mate.. I'm in my early 50's been surfing my whole life.. I've been under the harsh Australian & Indonesian sun for over 4 decades,,, both my eyes have really bad pterygiums now ... people won't have eye contact with me they look away
I wear the goggles and cap because the visor helps a lot too. I feel you get better rides because you can judge the waves more easily without sun glare. 😊

Went out on my BG Wave Bandit at KDH and scored some knee high dreamers in 65* water. Definitely fun but cold. Good luck in 2 weeks.

I'm with your pain brother. Had many injuries and you inspired me to get back in the water when I never thought I could. But I've been landlocked this year while they are remodeling the house in the banks. I've had 2 weeks there since last November and no summer in sight except inland heat misery. It's a struggle but the other side will reveal greener grass my man
