Awesome,, im having trouble just getting my engine os pc side to even see the mixstream.. like its not connected.. I don't think it's the USB cable but I may switch it out just to see
@@djshortefromphilly yes sir,,, i bought it a couple months ago and then the 2.2 update dropped.. got it,, then a week later i saw the icon so i downloaded the 2.3 one too... it keeps just staying in the loading screen.,.. it never reaches it... just stays as the buffer dots (.......) im starting to suspect this is a win 10 driver issue now.... was win 7 hardware upgraded to 10..... usually some issue there... ill keep at it,... when i solve this i will come back and report to help anyone else with this connection issue..... and i subscribed
@@djshortefromphilly .. square one homie.... update so far,,, so i had the wrong cord.. i was using my blue ball mic usb cable but i think it may work because i found the original cable to the mix stream in the box with the instructions,, i guess because of the standalone reason i bought it i grabbed what i needed to get going.... but anyways... it STILL WONT connect.... it stays buffering trying to connect once i hit the button in the Engine os on the mix stream... i tried unpluging it while connected.. before.. after and any combination i could think of and nothing... no mention of drivers anywhere for the win 10.....
Did u work it out? Just Shift and double tap Roll on the right hand side pads to get 5 6 7 and 8 samples. Took me a while to work it out. Wouldn't have known this at all, if I hadn't found your video! Thanks ❤
@@djshortefromphilly I have aswell. I save Rekordbox stem loops on Engine DJ and then stick them on an SD card to play with them on the pads. I think you can use Serato on Mixstream Pro aswell now. Never used it.
This was helpful, thanks! I've been wanting to get a Mixstream, but I've heard some say that Engine/Mixstream isn't for professional djs because it doesn't have a sound effect sampler. What do you all think? It seems you found a workaround for at least 4 sound effects... is that enough for professional gigs? and does the PC need to remain plugged in for it to work that way?
Hey Brother....How did you get your VDJ screen onto your Mixstream Pro screen? I have downloaded all of the drivers that I needed for it.....But it gives me a black screen in computer mode....I own the Mixstream Pro Go Model
brother how in the world are you able to run audio from mixstream into virtual DJ is my question?..I was able to download drivers /updated everything and virtual dJ actually says it detected the mixstream pro as controller but when i go to my audio preferences in virtual dJ i cant find it...And my mix stream pro also doesnt give me anyother type of read on my screen other than its on computer mode...
I recorded my wife years ago when i was using the roland dj 808 and pitched her voice ...i'be been using her as a drop ever since. In virtualdj I think you can make drops...I'll check and get back to you.

Can you load tracks from your laptop while using laptop mode with virtual dj or does it still make you load tracks on the controller
It loads songs from the laptop because in that mode, it's just a controller not a self sufficient media player.

yeah..give that a shot...and make sure you have the latest firmware

hello, how did you configure the virtual di to play with mistreat pro?
It was as simple as plug and play.
Do these settings stay if you unplug the controller or does it default back?
Virtualdj remembers the settings.

I've used mine during professional gigs...with and without the laptop...the difference is without i can't use stems.
We have a dj that Dj'd professionally all yea long with a $200 controller.

You can't make crates but you can make playlist on it and name them...its part of the onboard software.
