Lynsey, what a wonderful refresh, to utilize items you previously DIY’d is genius! 🎉 🎉, thank both a few new extras. Can’t wait till you begin your adventure in France🇫🇷🥂🇫🇷
Love the lamp , the shelves and cupboards and the beautiful copper and pictures! Love your kitchen refresh! The dark blue paint adds a richness to the room, so cozy next to the bright window!
Lynsey, this refresh is truly amazing and shows what one can do with a bit of paint and imagination. I love it: the sitting area is so sweet; I think the lamp shade redo is one of your best and the placement of the table in the window is brilliant!
Well you don’t stop amazing me. It looks gorgeous. I must say the lamp shade is pretty much just as nice as the one on Etsy. Great inspiration for me to finally try covering one of my lampshade with vintage fabric.. you have such energy weekly I LOVE ❤️ it ❤
You set the window seat up really nice with the side table and everything. You made a fabulous dupe for the $75 lamp! I like the silver handles on the blue cabinet. It really stands out against the blue. I know the hardware you choose can really make a difference. I saw a video where a woman had changed out her toilet handle for a brass one she found on Amazon to match her other brass fixtures. I didn’t even know such a thing existed! 😂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen a toilet that didn’t have a chrome handle. That first pic looks like such a cute French county unfitted kitchen! The lopsided shelf threw me off a bit, 🤭but lovely nonetheless! 😆
Hi Lynsey. Absolutely love the cupboards and the colour is gorgeous. Navy blue is classic. Your lamp is beautiful and what a bargain. Keep it for yourself it really looks fabulous. The heat gun was amazing at removing that layer. Going to car boot tomorrow for a rummage. Love from Sunderland in the UK 🇬🇧, have a good week
Thanks so much Tracey, oh I love a good car boot sale, I’m always more homesick during fall and till Christmas, so I shall live vicariously through you . 🍂good luck find lots of treasure 🤗
My cabinets are similar IKEA. If I’m not paying attention and use the toaster near by the covering starts to peel. I never really thought to take it all off and paint them. I just figured I was stuck unless I replaced it all. Thank you Lynsey for showing me I can do this! I also have a big a garden window I’ve been looking to change out! I’m really looking forward to getting started! Have a great week!💓
It looks wonderful. Great job as usual. I love the cook books in the window and the little lamp and sitting area. I have an old victorian wooden chair in my kitchen. I sit in it quite a lot. It is good to have that spot.😊
Lynsey, The kitchen turned out great! Love the way the window looks and the chair with the table and the lamp, all very cozy! I'm trying to unfit my fitted kitchen, lol!
@@lindascott5298 oh wow you certainly got a bargain, it sounds fantastic, it will be great to decorate for fall and especially Christmas.🎄 and I love the idea of the draw basket 😊brilliant!
I loved everything about this makeover, especially reworking the IKEA cabinet!🙌🏻 (The only surprise was the sleek, contemporary handles on it,doesn’t scream cozy cottage.)🤔
It really looks good and much brighter. I use to have three white shelves that went across the large kitchen window. They were painted same color as the trim. I had mostly plants setting on them and just a few more pieces of decor. Some people use glass shelves and its even better because its clear and refelects all light. I tired of them eventually though...I always do 😂❤
I love your videos as usual. The lamp is wonderful and I think I might try that if I can thrift me a small lamp for the kitchen 🥰. I thrifted the cream and red toile fabric curtains. It can match my sink window curtain. Thank you for your ideas. Maybe even a chair too for having a read
I look forward to your videos on Sunday'& to my chagrin I was unsubscribed to your channel!!! I always spell you name wrong as I work w/a Lyndsey & you don't have the "d" in your name, but regardless I found you again. I live in a small apt, w/an even smaller kitchen and I think it's great you are able to do so much with the home your renting. I've thought about doing some kind of "renter" friendly DIY on my cabinets but at the end of the day I'm too lazy & cheap LOL. But I love what you've done w/your kitchen. Thanks for the inspiration & who knows maybe I'll get off my bum & do something 🙂
Window Well? Never heard it called that. Window well for American are windows in a basement that are at street level with a cover around them. Your window we call a greenhouse window which I just love! We had one in our previous home and really miss it. It all turned out so sweet!!
You have no counter space for actually mixing food up for cooking? Do you have a island? I have a fireplace in my kitchen and also have a little sitting area like you. So charming. I like the blue color and the little lamp makeover is adorable. Great job, Lynsey. The refrigerator seems very small, compared to the ones in the US, I live a hr. away from the nearest big town and I need to store more food than would fit in yours. We have a separate freezer also, as we raise our own beef.
We have a galley style kitchen on the other side of the room, it’s not ideal but we make it work. The fridge is big enough for just two of us and we have a freezer upstairs in the laundry room. 😊
I really love the refresh. But for some reason I really really want you to swap the position of the fish mold with the pineapple. I have no idea why. I might need medication. 🤷♀️
We had this style of cabinet and the tall pantry cabinet started to delaminate. They were the type to put together. They worked okay while we used the mobile home where we installed them for holidays. We decided to turn the place into a vacation rental. No way were those cabinets going to hold up to anyone but us. So almost $7,000 dollars later (with my husband doing all the work) we replaced them but we did reuse the custom counter. 🥲. The cabinets served a purpose for a short while but in hindsight I wish we’d have done it right sooner and not wasted the money. The original cabinets were better I think but still particle board. Should have just painted them. 🤭 we are always trying to make a silk purse out of a sows’ ear. 🤣 often times it works but when it doesnt….. oh boy. I understand completely why you don’t spend the $ where you are though.
Lovely before and after. I was sorry to see the delft go, I love it.
I hope to get the real thing in the next house 😊
Lindsey, wonderful job on the makeover. Love the seating area.
Thanks so much! 😊

It’s amazing what you can find on amazon It’s a great idea to match the toilet handle 👍
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 Definitely! I would want one of the crystal ones or the Victorian looking rubbed brass ones that look matte black! 😊
Absolutely lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your charming home. ❤
You are so welcome!

I really like the look of the table in the window but I'm concerned that the sun will fade the wood and the covers of the books.
Oh maybe, I should move the books around. I’m not too worried about the wood.
I want your heat gun, mine doesn’t get hot enough to do the work of a heat gun. 😊
I have had to use my small heat gun because my is so blooming hot 🥵
