What an awesome helicopter Mykel !! These are priceless, simply love to see how mechanical precision ruled when the electronics were not around ! I am restoring a Thunder Tiger 90 SE and just finished a Thunder Tiger Titan X50 ❤
oh wow yes, I have seen your channel, you have very nice pieces! It is cool that you are saving these machines, I was always pineing for the new stuff and never had the respect I do now that im old LOL. Thanks for the compliment! Ill be over checking your vids out!
maaaan, mine was a used disaster when I got it and I was 16. Cricket was a great name cause it just took off in any random direction till it hit something!! haha. fun times...didnt know it then but ya, they were great memories! thanks for the comment!
Thats a beautiful piece of history! I envy you for being sooo long in this hobby that you were flying such old machines when you were much younger! I believe you that lots of memories are connected with this machine and this "historic" transmitter. I started 2021 with a little RTF OMPHOBBY M2 Explore when I was 60 years old. That made it much easier for me at the start than for you back then! I hope you get this machine restored and in the air again! That would be great! 1984, thats something!! I was 24 then!
well to say I started then is a true statement, but if I had flown continuously, I would be ridiculous. But life, marriage, bills, family, work, caused long periods of not flying until 2000 I flew heavily from 2000-2010. then another decade of life, then about the time you got started, I got back into it, coming out of more physically damaging hobbies like downhill MTB. I decided this is the last time I am doing this and I want to be really good. let's just say "as good as I can be the day I die" haha! But im pressing hard cause my days are numbered, I have a tremor all my life but now it's bad. one day I'll have to hang it up. probably next year. I keep saying that, my hands keep shaking, I keep flying, and I keep saying that. Peace!
@@mykel1969 It's great tat you were cming back after every break! I was a motorcycle racer (Enduro nad Race track) back in the 80 ties till early 90ties and had a lot of broken bones. I stopped in 92 and sold all my motorcycles JUST in the right moment to survive until now. It would have ended badly because I NEVER could go slow even 10 meter on a bike. (Barin defect) I wish you that you have much more time than you think! Even that a micacle will happen and your hands calm down! You deserve it ! You are a great pilot and have great spacial awareness, well trained because of the tight space you are flying in! I wish you all the very best!! Greetings fron Adrenalin Freak to Adrenalin Freak!!
oh I can't wait to see you do this one. Dude , seriously, you get that in the air under any reasonable control, and I am going to have to drive across this state of ours and personally shake your hand. Your Kerosene Burner took some Moxie for sure but now...now you're just knocking on the devils door!! Respect! u da man!
@@mykel1969come on over! We can make a day of it and fly! I’m going to modernize it of course! Getting a tail gyro, I don’t miss the days of flying with out it! I’ve got some ideas to make it cooler and look better!
whoah. u got me there, I knew that name but more the Eagle. I had to look that up. dang, u were messing with a big boy! 90 right? I bet thats rare to find now too.
@@mykel1969 The one I had was a 60 size with a 70 in it, OS if I remember right. You got me looking for one and I can find plenty of parts, but no actual heli. Probably best, I don't think I have the patience any more for all it would take.

That’s awesome! I had the GMP cricket. I was pretty young when I got it. Sold it to a friend in the early 90’s.
