Base kit warlock knowledge is -30% spell casting speed. Getting 4 knowledge from the gloves makes it +20% faster, judgement needs this to not feel terrible to use. Also the +3 or 4 resourcefulness lowers the cool down of both abilities.
8:10 you aren't factoring in the dark reflect? He hit you at the exact same time you hit him with boc in the dome, so he also took the dark reflect damage... one shotting him but through 2 sources imo
@@justinkedgetor5949 it is not as simple as which is better, it depends, true is more versatile but for classes with little MDR the add magical does more damage, since it multiplies the damage to the head and the damage of your magical power the true will always be 11 points of damage no matter where you hit
Add magic is only better if you can headshot with the damage its coming from. Staff Mastery and BoC are their own separate magic damage rolls that can each headshot. True damage is typically better on spells/abilities that can not Headshot (AOE's, judgement, ect). Add magic is multiplied on a headshot and also reduced on limb shots, true damage does not get multiplied or reduced. Like if i play full phantomize curselock I go true magic.
Do you think there are better perks to take from other classes over antimagic? I was thinking of Robust, Reactive shield, Shadow Touch, Prot from Evil to drop the CD of Reflection or Perseverance
I think Frost Shield from wizard would be my ideal 4th pick, Antimagic just feels cozy since it allows me to usually take 1 more spell from a wizard as I approach. Every Cleric/Wiz/Warlock has a pocket Fireball
@zeplore8491 awesome, i've tried to work out a build i'd like and i think i'll try to get one with ice shield and replace soul collector with prot from evil. love the content, keep it up💪
Build is kind of broken in normals too with just greys. I randomly got bless instead of judgement and paired with bloodstained blade you can get around 90 damage consistently on BoC.
It's only three but it is its own scalable damage roll, separate from BoC or the magic staffs basic damage. The 40ish magic damage onto the dummy in the introduction is due to staff mastery. Staff is base 9 magic damage, with 40% magic power bonus it's like 13, add +11 additional magic damage makes it 24 total, but staff mastery adds another roll, base three PLUS my additional magic all over again (11) which actually makes it an additional 14 damage instead of just 3.
It's good for sure! The wizard at 1:40 in the video had +6 mag power legendary magic staff and full +true magic with Arcane/Frost/Ignite, but it only dealt like 23-28 damage (it ate my magic proc pot and did 3 damage to my HP bar after). I think BoC adding another +58 damage on top of my 110 is more valuable than the +25ish arcane shields AOE does after it is proc'd. The 20 damage shield is nice but idk if it stacks with proc/magic pots. It also can be popped with ranged damage and the damage AOE is just 2m. Depends on how you play truly.
Hey man, cool build but soul collector does not boost dark reflection, since dark reflection is magic damage not dark magic damage, but it does boost your BoC
It's actually the opposite. Every time I had soul collector stacks and I get hit it resets to 0, that's because soul collector is working with dark reflection. It does not work with BoC.
Since everyone is running spring, or running close to move cap, isn’t it better to take phantomize instead of boc? Feels like boc is a bit of an overkill
Anybody who is casting spells typically has fireball so they cook you in phantom. If i were to drop anything it would be judgement for phantom so you are move speed cap with staff out. Judgement is nice to get extra damage in before they open a door, or if you lose a trade and need to fall back you can shut doors behind you and judgement them if they decide to follow through. Also like having judgement for high HP high MR barbs so you can chip away at them like I did between 4:48 - 5:45. a BOC + reflect isnt enough to take barbs down with Ironwill/Antimagic, you need the high movespeed and judgement to kite/dance around them.
If that’s the case, what do you think of using cleric’s perk perseverance instead of soul collector, stacking soul collector is a chore, plus it’s useless in back to back fights, while perseverance has insane utility, by reducing the time of Achilles/cop/weapon hit, while reducing the cd of boc by half, the only issue I see is needing to roll for it.
@@Khalifa_Matar Perseverance is a great perk but it's not going to allow me love through one more spell or one more melee, just not tanky enough. I think you are referring to Protection from Evil though based on how you describe it. I think that's a good pick of you don't want to use Anti magic. I love my soul collector though, it's the difference between a 38ish damage reflection and a 55ish damage reflection.
Goodluck and godspeed brother. As long as you absolutely respect ranger potential and don't assume 1 BoC/reflect rotation will kill a Barbarian, you will be A-okay. Creep and blue quality Invis pots are your friend when used properly as well!
Knowledge gives +5% additional spell casting speed up to 19 knowledge, so Judgement "casts" 20% faster. Resourcefulness decreases cooldown of both abilities so they come back faster.
While barb would definitely fill the weak spots in this build, there are some complications to consider. Barb starting knowledge is 5. For judgement to be usable you need some knowledge, basekit barb 5 knowledge is -73% spell casting speed. That Mika visa would actually be hilariously slow. Building knowledge probs not worth it so maybe go phamtomize instead, or sprint. Barb also needs Weapon Mastery perk from Fighter to use Magic Staff since they can't use it naturally. I wonder if crush would work on magic staff? If I were trying this I'd go Staff Mastery / Weapon Mastery / Crush / Dark Reflection with Sprint and BoC. But yea if crush didn't work probably Soul Collector instead of Crush. Only other obstacle is headgear. Just use Adventurer Tunic and Leather cap instead of Rubysilver Vestments/Shadow Mask. Since you're not using judgement you can drop Rawhides for Riveteds or Reinforced with Agility
@@zeplore8491 wasnt aware judgement scaled its cast speed. its data claims it scales damage, i assumed its statement of its cast time(instead of other channel abilities not mentioning their duration unlike judgement) meant it was unchanging. can you confirm it drops below 0.75? if so, yeah must drop for something else but i dont think its needed, just nice to have a little bit of strong reach. crush sounds like a waste, the whole point of being barb is better base stats and access to robust/ironwill, taking crush over either of those seems like wasted trading power. crush works on crossbows apparently so i dont see why it wouldnt on staff. could and should prob just take arcane shield instead for more hp/damage. again, i assumed staff mastery gives you the ability to wield a staff, so yeah if you need weapon master you only get robust which isnt that great? still, DarkR SM WM robust boc arcane shield barb sounds good as fuck

This is sick man. Glass cannon builds are just the coolest everytime

Absolutely bonkers. Pun mostly not intended.

13:51 even better
Why would someone need 15 pots, 15 bandages, and 45 arrows. That fighter in one of the first clips was supplied for war XD
Damn near free supplies. Why not
How come you go Rawhide Gloves? Wouldn't it be better to go reinforced, mystic, or leather since you don't use spells?

True magic is better. But is typical more expensive.
This is because true magic cannot be mitigated with MDR

Does staff mastery make casted fireballs stronger?
Nope it only improves the melee of the staff
