[54] Real World Attacks on Unknown RFID Cards

Today we do some RFID hacking in which we approach a card with unknown hardware and spend some time trying to crack it.

The Classic what‘s inside this card should be an Classic EV1 1K. It answers with ATQA 0004 SAK 08, but when you look at block0 byte5 which is the SAK value, it says its 88 so an EV1 Classic 1K card. To verify this, dump sector 17 with a special KeyB. This is where the tags signature lives. The problem is no chinese magic card can replicate that sector. For that you need some sort of FUID 4K card where you can change the SAK to look like a 1K card and brick all sectors exept of 0-15 and 17.
