Oh yeah, my entire youth passed on by seeing all of this footage, man I really love to be in Germany and Austria. Went there as a little kid with my sibling and my parents and became a fool for these countries...Sigh.... I can not state enough how much I love being there...and when we go on wintersport every year, when we're all up there I can just stand there and look 360 degrees around me and see the snowy mountain tops....and every time I hear myself saying: Oh man it is so beautiful here... It never ever gets old....ever... Thank you very much for this short holiday, I truly was on vacation during this video... Es ist echt wahnsinnig wunderbar schön...
That's awesome and I'm so happy this video was able to give you that feeling again! And you're 100 percent right, being in the southern areas (Bavaria, austria - it's so beautiful I don't think I'd ever get tired of seeing it!

Awesome video, Robert!! I am so glad that I found your channel last week. I love traveling to Germany, and I am always planning my next trip. If you get this in time, I am hosting a live stream today, Saturday, 14 December 2024, on my channel at 09:00 EST. Hope to see you there, time permitting. PS-I will be watching more of your videos!!!
That's awesome we are on the way home from the Netherlands and I'll be in the car for a while so I should be able to catch your live stream! Glad you like the channel! I also gave you a sub last week, keep up the good video work! Next time you come to visit Germany let me know, maybe we can do a little collaboration. 😎
It was like a dream having them here, I almost couldn't believe it finally happened! 😅 We miss you and love you guys! One day, your European adventure awaits you as well 😂
Very nice video, you captured my old homeland really well, the best part: "It's closed" - some things never change about Germany !!! greetings from Atacama (Chile)
I just read on the homepage of the NDR (northern german TV/Radio station) that the restaurant of the Marienburg is open again. The castle itself will be closed for at least 7 more years, because of dry rot and danger of collapse.
Very nice video because you visited my home, i live in a village on the foot of the Marienburg and work in Hildesheim next to the Dom And you did not only visit the South!!! Most US tourists just go to Bavaria .
@@AnnetteLudke-je5ll Surprise! We live in the Hannover area! 😉 I also did a video hiking to the marienburg castle! (It's the marienburg castle geocaching adventure). Check it out if you ever have the time! Thanks for watching. 😜
@@40hup yeah, it looked as if it was their last song of the day, and I imagine it can get pretty tiring playing those things. They were higher up in the mountains and we could hear them for a good thirty minutes, and as we were leaving the lake they just so happened to drive by, get out, and play them again. Never heard them in person before, it was definitely an experience! I'd love to go back again and be able to follow them around for a day and document their daily routine. 😅
@@AdventureTimewithRobert Goslar is also the origin "headquarters" of the SIEMENS industrial family. The Siemens family home is a beautiful, large half-timbered house in the old town . Goslar was founded by Emperor Henry the Third over 1100 years ago. His son, Henry the Fourth, who also resided in Goslar, is known for his “Road/walk to Canossa” (to ask for forgiveness from the Pope).
The castle is closed due to dangerous conditions of the building. It could collapse . It has nothing to do with typical German habits like another viewer said. It will be closed for at least a decade if nobody finds a way to raise money for repairing it.
@@AnnetteLudke-je5ll Where did you hear about the castle possibly collapsing? They are filming "Maxton Hall there, an Amazon series. I'm pretty sure Amazon wouldn't let them film there if the building was in danger of collapsing! Edit: the more I hear from people, they always say its mold or something, but I think it has more to do with Amazon 😉 Edit number 2: I'm also hoping Maxton Hall is successful enough so Amazon invests a little into repairing the castle. 😅
Do you know how to read German? On the HP of the NDR you can find articles about it. The Marienburg is closed for the public, because of dry rot. You are right about the filming, but under certain conditions. Too difficult to translate now. Basically some rooms are okay for a limited amount of people and time.
@@nebelland8355oh, thanks for this! Yes, I can read and speak German. I haven't seen the website, but what you are explaining to me makes more sense and sounds about right. I really hope Amazon needs that castle and puts money into repairing it. We all know Jeff bezos has the funds to do it! 😂
Interesting choice of places to visit.
I am so happy, you had a good time :)
