Yeah there horrible I got o e beige hen I as younger and just randomly got one and I got tiny tales and the tunnel broke while my hamster was in it and my hamster ended up dieing
I’m not trying to be rude, just trying to give some advice. I advise you to do some research on how to own a hamster. First of all they need at least 450 in.² of floor space unbroken. I would suggest going and buying a bin for them because it’s the cheapest option. They also need at least 6 inches or more of bedding. That is because they are growing animals and the amount of bedding you can provide in a crittertrail is not nearly enough. Please do research on how to help your hamster thrive, not just survive.
Also your hamster needs at least 6 1/2 inch wheel and preferably a different food mix. I would recommend a mixture of food like Higgins Sunburst. Because it’s kind of like if you just eat crackers for the rest your life, you’re going to get sick of it. Also, do not bath a hamster in water as their coats are not meant for it. With taming, you need to take time and be patient.
Plz do your research before getting a pet :( hamsters need a min of 450sq in of space they need 6in of bedding a larger wheel then the one you have and a sand bath I suggest watching Victoria Rachel on RUclips for how to properly care for your pet if you won’t or don’t have the space you should give it to someone who will

A tiny tales cage is really tiny. I recommend a bin cage!!! They’re super cheap, and easy to make. Just buy the bin and drill holes in the lid and on the sides if you want to. Good luck with your ham and I know you’ll enjoy having it :)

It’s only certain employees that do... and most of them are actually interested in ensuring the animals that are sold go to good homes. Like others have recommended, a bin cage, an 8 inch wheel, 6+ inches of bedding, lots of toys and enrichment and your hamster sill be much happier! I hope you take the advice into consideration. 😊😊
Very cute hamster! I’ll recommend a large tank or a large bin cage since the castle is really small for the hamster! But other than that everything it’s okay.
Despite the size of that hamster, there was not enough bedding put in the cage, and not enough could even fit so maybe a fish tank cage that's at least 450 square inch or a bin cage. I think the hamster was struggling on the wheel since it was so thick so a cage that doesn't have a built in wheel is fine too. But small tale cages aren't the best.

I know your in college and you want a pet and hamsters are small so you think they only need a small cage but that’s not true. Btw you can get a pretty big bin cage for cheap and that is much better than the tiny tale cage which is one of the worst cages you can get.
Please please please do not use a hamster ball. They can get their feet trapped and there is not enough ventilation for air flow. You all need to do more research into hamsters, do not trust anything the pet shop tells you. Your cage is far too small for starters and they need minimum 6 inches deep bedding. We all make mistakes but please take this seriously and learn about their care, these aren't easy pets you can put in a small cage, their care can be quite specialised. Have a look at hamster youtubers like victoria raechel, she does great informative videos. You need to make changes for your hamster to have a good life. Also just a side note, there aren't different breeds of hamsters, it's different species

And I suggest Higgins Sunburst because the food you got doesn’t have enough nutrients because it’s only pallets like unlike Higgins Sunburst that has seeds and stuff.

Sorry, but the cage is completely unsuitable for a hamster. Not only is it far too small, but it's also a cage with bars and full of plastic. A suitable cage is much larger, preferably a large discarded aquarium and then set up without plastic. Take a look on the internet, there are a lot of tips there

The bare minimum for a hamster cage is 450 squared inches, petsmart sell tiny tales because they don’t care about the actual animals they care about the money for their job. Also, the type of bedding is fine but since hamsters are borrowers so they need at least six inches of bedding. The food isn’t great because hamsters need a good variety of different types of food, it’s like us no one wants to eat plain porridge all day. Before you get a hamster please do your research
Hi i really sugest a new cage because your cage is too small i recemend a bin cage there only 20 bucks make sure you cage is atleast 450 square inches, also the food you are giving your hamster dose not have enough variety i recommend the higins sunburst hamster food im not hating im just trying to help.
ive had the tiny tales playhouse and my hamster got used to me really fast she would wait for me to come home from school and would crowled all over me i also got the tiny tales ball i also got that ball for my second hamster

(Over 450 sq ) because if you don’t you hamster will be stressed and mite start bar chewing (that will chip there teeth) and bar climbing and many hamster have actually broken there bones by doing that. Maybe look at better food like sunburst. Sunburst is much better than Oxbow. Watch Victoria Rachel. Her vids will really help and she gives the best care on RUclips (in my opinion)
hey! so this was in 2020 i hope you have made a change on your hamster care since some things are wrong! this is not hate at all im just giving some pointers on your hamster care. the first thing i want to point out is that the cage you have is too small for any hamster. hamsters actually require 450inches of floorspace, so they dont need height, just floorspace. the tiny tales cages are too small and their company doesn't want whats best for the hamster they attract children. you can get a bin cage from anywhere, they are much bigger and they don't cost much at all. the next thing i want to point out is that the wheel is too small for your hamster and they can break their back if its too small. you can get some big ones from amazon. I love the bedding your using but they require 6+ inches of bedding! just make sure not to use any scented bedding because thats bad for your hamster! I love the chews you are using but please get more since the hamster chews all the time and could show signs of boredom because not given enough to chew. boredom signs are, chewing on bars, pacing back and forward, screaming at you etc.
