  • You won’t believe how easy it is to build your own water table, this DIY is a must have for back yard summer fun!! Don’t forget to subscribe for new vids every M-W-F bit.ly/sub2moms
    SUPPLIES
    • 19ft of 3/4” PVC pipe (usually sold in 4-5ft lengths)
    • (8) 3/4" Three Way Connectors (slip, not threaded)
    • (2) 3/4" Tee Joints (slip, not threaded)
    • (2 ) 3/4” Elbow Connectors (slip, not threaded)
    • Pipe cutter or saw
    amzn.to/2aHxIUH
    • 40 Quart Storage Bin
    STEPS
    1. Mark your PVC pipe with the following measurements and cut with pipe cutter:
    2 - 21”
    5 - 14-1/4”
    4 - 10”
    4 - 3-1/2”
4 - 16” or to your desired height. These are your legs customized for your child’s height.
    2. Build base with two 21” and two of 14 - ½“ and make rectangle with four of the three-way connectors.
    3. Next make the top with two of the 10” pieces and join them together with a Tee joint. Repeat with the other two pieces. Join them together with your remaining three-way connectors.
    4. For the stabilizer bar, connect your 3 - ½” pieces into the bottom of each Tee joint.
    5. Add an elbow connector to each side, and place last 14” piece in the middle.
    6. Take the last four pieces, which are the legs and insert them into the base and then attach the top. Make sure everything is nice and secure.
    7. Place tub inside frame, and you’re ready to play!
    Tips:
Make sure all your connectors are smooth inside and not threaded.
You can make your table with any size bin, just measure the sides to determine the length you need to cut your pipe
The legs can be any height, I made mine 16” so that it would be the right height for Lincoln

OML!! So, I Did This "Craft" and Instead of Using a Normal Container, I Used a Divided Container (into 2) One Half Was Filled With Water and The Other Was With Sand! Thank You SO Much, WhatsUpMoms!

i JUST made this.... great instructions and measurements..
like alot of people, i also had concerns about the container size..
    it is in fact the hefty 40qt (37.8L) container.. thw measuremwnts are : 24.04in W x 16.81in D x 7.8in H
    Hope that helps someone

I made this yesterday. I'm glad I double-checked the measurements in the description with what is said in the video. There are two inconsistencies in the printed list. For future reference, you only need two of the 3-1/2" pieces of PVC, and the correct measurement for the set of 5 pieces is 14-1/2" (as stated in the actual video) NOT 14-1/4". I bought the same Hefty bin as shown in the video (not the one in the link in the description box since that one has slightly different dimensions) and the setup works perfectly! Make sure you push hard on all connections for the frame and it will be a perfectly snug fit. Thanks so much! My kids love it.

I do not recommend to fill with water in an indoor setup. The parts can accidently get apart.

Thank you for this video! Made it for my grandson. It was so easy - the guy at Home Depot offered to cut everything for me so all I had to do was assemble it. Cost for PVC pipe and connectors was $25.33 and the box was $9.99. Check online at your WM first for the Hefty 40 Qt box since not all WM carry them. I plan to buy a 2nd box to use for sand.

This is easy to build. But a couple of things. This is kind of expensive. Mine cost $50 in parts from Home Depot and Target, and I didn't have to buy the pvc pipe cutter because I have my own. The bin that fits this is a 40 quart (not gallon, as she says in the video) Hefty clear plastic bin from Target. It is kind of tough to find. I had to go to three stores before I found it at Target. But, the 5 - 14.5" inch pipes she shows in the video need to be 15" long for this bin to fit easily into the frame, assuming you've hammered the pipe into the fittings tightly so the thing won't come apart when water is in it. But with those few modifications, the table is quick and simple to build and my granddaughter loves it! Thanks.

Just made 2 .. worked out great! Definitely measure the size of your tub like mentioned at the bottom of the description. We had to adjust some sizes to fit our tubs but it’s a great alternative to the splash tables because you can store this and adjust the height as they grow if you want

I made this using the instructions, using a 30L tub (about 32 US liquid quarts). When I tested it by filling the tub to HALF the volume, the joins separated from the weight. I decided to use PVC cement to glue the joins and this seems to make it more stable. This means however, that it cannot be dismantled for storing. I think this should have been pointed out during the video.

    • @holiday6047
      @holiday6047 9 месяцев назад

….it’s common sense that if you GLUE something OR USE PVC CEMENT that it would NOT come apart for easy storage… 🙄🤦‍♀️ like what did you expect would happen?

Edited to add that I went back and got the right size tub. My son's sensory/water table looks great!! I'm so proud of how it looks! Edited again to add that my son LOVES his table!
