The reason the pop is so much louder than a normal balloon is because the sound a balloon makes when it pops is because of the air rushing out of a small hole but because the dry ice is so cold, it expands to 800 times its size so the pressure builds up and it creates a bunch of holes at once. That means the air can escape much quicker so its super loud
