I remember getting this on my old iPod when I was 10... it was free.. I’m here and this is for some reason the most intense nostalgia I have ever felt...
I'm 44 and yesterday my 32 yr old husband passed away unexepantly. The grief is too much but at night I listen to the songs we loved and we loved kandi. not b/c of any infidelity but b/c it's a great song and we loved the male vocal and the kandi sample. My husband was a writer and a poet and the lyrics reminded me of the beautiful things he would say to me and write for me every day. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.
I remember being in a rush to get to the gym when this song had just been released. Just as I was getting out of my car it came on and I sat there, frozen - gym be damned. It's very rare when a song instantly grabs you.
Same experience here! But over a friend’s house - he played it and I said, What?! Play that again … and he did. And I said, Play it again. And he did, and I said Play it again …
This song was running through my heart, and I was slip slidin' away until he brought me back into the fold of his loving arms. So glad, he didn't let me go.
I'm a fourteen year old girl and I'm completley in love with this song.... Not because it reminds me of some silly boy, but because its pure talent and emotion.
Hey I hope you see this.. I listened to this song and watched this video when I was age 4 and loved it and remeber it, and i just wanna say you made an insane impact on someone with your video and you should feel really good about yourself.❤️
This song has a 40+ year old history behind it. Thanks to One EskimO and Kandi for resurrecting an obscure (yet historic) old song and wonderfully IMPROVING it by adding their own genious. Patsty Cline would love it.
I remember watching this as a kid and thought this was the scariest video for some reason. Heard the song on the radio recently and instantly remembered the video.
Took me months to track down this song after hearing it on the radio. Brilliant. Part of it is a cover of the old Patsy Cline song "he called me baby".
Ahhh.. I Love this song too awesome video But much sadder than the earlier one although more true to life and the way life and love sometimes go..In the end we still have our friends:}
Автор,если ты еще можешь сюда заглянуть,то твоя песня это что-то! Потрясающая и успокаивающая,узнал о ней 5 лет назад и до сих пор слушаю:) Удачи тебе и всего хорошего.
the video reminds me of me as the Eskimo, and the girl as the man i love, the dark shadow represents the other woman who is not good for him at all and he knows it because he rather spend time with me when I'm there, i cry sometimes because i can't make him choose between me and her and the drugs she does with him. i can only hope he realizes my love is real, or someone better comes along. love stinks, but the song is beautiful!
my daughter seems to think it might be Adelle and i agree this is an incredible song . i found it listening to sirius xm , lot of great music there . . . take care fellow tuber
when i heard this song on bones , and booth appears on the airport , i thought , thats it , its the season finale ,its now , and booth get nervous while talking to bones , but then nothing happens , not even a goodbye kiss , and then they look back to each other , and again i thought yeah its now , they'll say what they feel for each other , and then again nothing happens , i hope it happens on the next seasson then........
I heard this on Ellen the other day. At first I didn't realize it was this song because I was like "What song is this? It sounds familiar." Then a few seconds later... "OMG~!
I have been trying to find this song for like the last damn year, couldnt think of the name or like any of the lyrics, i just remembered the tune, it drove me near crazy for awhile trying to find it. Woke up today, and thank fuck for facebook memories. I was like. Wholy fuck thats it!
Great song, my 15 year old daughter had me listen to it, It turns out it has been out since 2009 and here I am barely hearing it 2013,, wow makes me wonder how many other songs I missed out on,,hmm,,,
I heard this song some years back, but this version by "One Eskimo and the mystery woman" just grabbed me. All of the vocals and muscians are incredible. The story is heartbreaking, and has survived decades. I am impressed by the lead singer but I would love to know who the lead female is. I've listened to Candi Staton's version, but her voice seems too smooth. The person on "Kandi" seems to have a roughness to her voice that is mesmerizing, and offsets the smoothness of his. Amazing!!!
It's 8 years later, so you probably won't see this, but the women's voice on this IS Candi Staton, they sampled her version of _He called me Baby_ for this. It's the reason they named the song _Kandi_ !

I'm so sorry for your loss. May your memories bring you solace.
🥲
ten years later, I'm back here again and I still love everything about this.
My dad, who doesnt understand how to use RUclips very well, gave me a list of music to make him a playlist and this is one of the songs and I love it.
your father has good taste in 🎶
Sounds like your dad is a happening kind of guy, just like me, 69 next month and getting cooler every day.
What are some of the other songs on his playlist?
@@JohnSmith-yu2mq Life happens a day at a time :)
Nothing changed. Still a beautiful song in memories. It's always in my playlists.

Bones has turned me on to some of the best songs! Best show on TV!!

Lovely melody and voices. Bill Nighy played this on Sunday on bbc6 music!!! The guy's voice reminds me of James Blunt.
I absolutely love this song. ❤️ I love his voice.
Have you heard his solo album?
I remember watching this as a kid and thought this was the scariest video for some reason. Heard the song on the radio recently and instantly remembered the video.
Happy to return to this song after so many years. They did Candi's voice well here (who did it even better than Patsy Cline).
Final episode of season 5 when Booth and Bones are saying goodbye in the airport.
This song describes exactly what I'm living today! Ai, ai... I'm in LOVE! Thanks God!!!- Bárbara from Brazil.
