I remember getting this on my old iPod when I was 10... it was free.. I’m here and this is for some reason the most intense nostalgia I have ever felt...
I'm 44 and yesterday my 32 yr old husband passed away unexepantly. The grief is too much but at night I listen to the songs we loved and we loved kandi. not b/c of any infidelity but b/c it's a great song and we loved the male vocal and the kandi sample. My husband was a writer and a poet and the lyrics reminded me of the beautiful things he would say to me and write for me every day. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

when i heard this song on bones , and booth appears on the airport , i thought , thats it , its the season finale ,its now , and booth get nervous while talking to bones , but then nothing happens , not even a goodbye kiss , and then they look back to each other , and again i thought yeah its now , they'll say what they feel for each other , and then again nothing happens , i hope it happens on the next seasson then........

the video reminds me of me as the Eskimo, and the girl as the man i love, the dark shadow represents the other woman who is not good for him at all and he knows it because he rather spend time with me when I'm there, i cry sometimes because i can't make him choose between me and her and the drugs she does with him. i can only hope he realizes my love is real, or someone better comes along. love stinks, but the song is beautiful!

I heard this song some years back, but this version by "One Eskimo and the mystery woman" just grabbed me. All of the vocals and muscians are incredible. The story is heartbreaking, and has survived decades. I am impressed by the lead singer but I would love to know who the lead female is. I've listened to Candi Staton's version, but her voice seems too smooth. The person on "Kandi" seems to have a roughness to her voice that is mesmerizing, and offsets the smoothness of his. Amazing!!!
It's 8 years later, so you probably won't see this, but the women's voice on this IS Candi Staton, they sampled her version of _He called me Baby_ for this. It's the reason they named the song _Kandi_ !
