I just wanted to tell you thanks for all the videos you've made. I honestly think that in this current point in time that your channel is my personal favorite. It really gives off wholesome vibes, sort of like the robots in Mystery Science Theater 3000 (which is objectively the greatest TV show ever created, especially since it comes with over 200 movies).
My first vid of yours, new sub! For a couple years I went minimalist constantly getting rid of stuff and wanting less, but honestly physical media is so important. So I am happy to be back collecting things and finding new things again! I have some vintage shops near me I am hoping to volunteer there and also I shop at them.
Thank you for the sub and welcome to the channel! I hope you find some gems at the vintage stores near you. Pretty cool that you’re going to volunteer as well. Even when you don’t walk away with anything, it’s still such a fun thing to do. Just looking around and actually touching this stuff at these cool places is such a joy. I hope these places stay around as long as humanly possible.
@@ScottyDunn thank you so much for your message! Completely agree these stores are really important and have old school values. Looking forward to the vids!
Great media collection! I generally collect the Blu Rays I find in stores myself. My fiancé and I have a much smaller space now so I generally have to be more picky before I purchase anything myself. 😅 But I love seeing old posters and vintage DVDs.
Hey Scott! I’ve always seen you on kickin it and was like wow this guy is such a great actor and I tried to see other films you did because of how good and funny of an actor you are and saw that you are making videos now and that’s so awesome hopefully you will make big movies and shows I’m an actress myself so just wanted to say that honestly you inspire me as an actor!🙏
Hey Destinee, thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it! I’m honored that you’re inspired to act and that I can be a small part of inspiring that. Keep following your dreams. Keep focused on it and it will be a reality. Wishing you success in everything you do.
Another great video! That batman with Batmobile is awesome. Same with the 1960s batman. Love the back to the future poster. Definitely got to get me one of those. I've been rewatching the trilogy lately. Never get tired of that. Also got to finally see that clock tower up close . One of the perks of working at universal is walking on movie lots freely off business hours. Definitely awesome being there live. Well anyway great video you too. You and your family is alway joy. As an animator. I always get inspired by these types of videos.
Thank you so much 😀 It was great searching for physical media around my new city. Isn't it a trip to see the real clock tower up close? So cool that you work at Universal Studios. What an awesome job to have. Thanks for tuning in!
@@ScottyDunn yes it was pretty awesome. The clock was taken down sadly. Not sure where it was taken too but definitely will try to find it at some point. also the pillers of the front of the building are hidden behind a new facade . You have to walk into the front door of the building to see it. So happy that's still there. Also love the psycho house and motel. Grew up on those four films as well. Definitely awesome we have the last remaining psycho house standing.
Is that the place with “C-NUG waz here” written on the wall? 😆 in all seriousness I’ve been meaning to visit the Half priced books store. Gonna do that soon.
Very nice video, very mellow and just a fun video to watch. I noticed Red Cow also uploaded a video on Ollie's today. Hm, is it possible you two went together? 🤔 Ha ha. Nice find with the Tombstone Director's Cut. By the way, has Gina seen Wait Until Dark? It's fantastic and I highly recommend it. Concerning CYA books, I had a ton of them as a kid but my dad gave them all away. I wanted to try building up a new collection but they're so expensive, it's stupid.
Thanks so much RJ. Nope, Red Cow and I didn't collaborate on this one 😆 Would've been fun though. So I just told Gina about Wait Until Dark, and we realized that we've been meaning to watch that one for a while. I remember seeing a little bit of it with my dad when I was younger. The one where she's blind and the thieves are in her apt. Can't wait to check it out. CYOA is so expensive it's ridiculous. I've also never seen them in the wild. Well none of the ones I want anyway. They're usually off-brand versions. The search continues.
What a great, fun video! Your brother-in-law is hilarious. If he weren't so happy in his marriage to what appears to be the perfect wife, I'd ask for his number.
I still prefer the physical copies of everything I collect such as movies, music and books. I've close to thousand of each. And since you asked what's your favorite, I avoid Chick-fil-A due to its bigoted stance against the LGBTQ+ community and civil rights. You should certainly watch 'Krull', it's a decent movie and I think you'd like it. I own the dvd and used to have a card game based on it.
Hey Louis. I didn't know about Chic-Fil-A's stance on those matters. Just wanted a spicy chicken sandwich and that was the closest place. I don't support that kind of behavior towards any community. Sorry about that. As far as Krull... WHAT? Didn't know there was a card game based on it. I'll have to check it out. Seems like it has a stacked cast of actors that we all know and love. When do we get to see your collection?
@@ScottyDunn I don't upload videos, I just enjoy the work of others. My collections mainly consist of CDs of Streisand, U2, Styx, and many other soft rock artists, DVDs of LGBTQ-centric films, horror and science fiction, books on science and astronomy, as well as prehistoric life.
I think my comment got eaten because I listed a website where you can find good rare books. 😐 Anyway, I tried. Also, I do remember The Guild! I was in season 5, LOL. And, there is a great physical media store in the LA area where everything is a dollar, but nothing is in any order or checked for quality, so it's definitely a place you could spend hours going through everything if you're ever back on this coast.
Nice! I really liked The Guild. It’s cool you were in season 5. Gonna do a video about it sometime in the future. I remember there being some great physical media places in LA. Especially this huge book store that had everything. I can’t remember the name right now.
@@ScottyDunn i have so much nostalgia for temple of doom i would have probably got all of the different characters they had lol. never seen an ollies in nyc unfortunately

I appreciate that so much. It’s an honor. Thank you for tuning in and participating in my channel. More to come.
I enjoyed that you used the BTTF physical media to straighten out the BTTF poster!
Thanks lol. I have enough bttf physical media for the next 2 posters in the trilogy.
0:58 isn't that one of the board games Board James played in his finale?
Yeah it is! It's just been updated a bit.

I feel ya. These things can get out of hand quick. Even just window shopping can be enough to feed the nostalgia monster.

If you are in St. Louis now you gotta go to "Half Price Books". Not sure if he still works there but ask for C-NUG. He's the guy.

Sky Captain was decent. The BTS are well worth it! Guy has a cool story.
I’m looking forward to the BTS. It seems like it’ll be inspiring.

They still have plenty if you’ve got an Ollie’s near by. Hm. Might have to go back and get one. The Kenner boxing was great.
