  • We went hiking to Mt. Apo via Bansalan Trail last April 2022 and it was really difficult! I have hiked many high peaks before and I would rate this as one of my top 3 more tiring hikes.
    If you are looking to hiking Mt Apo via Bansalan Trail, here is a video of our experience. We hope this can give you an insight on our trip!
    Hiking to Mt Apo would have been a lot more difficult if it wasn't done with good friends!

    I saw your video climbing Mt. Kinabalo, so I guess you can climb Apo even in one day. Many hikers have been doing the dayhike. 👍🏽👍🏽
    I have tried to climb it dayhike in this same trail, Bansalan trail. It was way harder for me bcoz I didnt have enough exercise before the climb...
    But you're way stronger and more fit than me. So I can say you can dayhike this mountain, too.

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hello! Waterproof and boots style because the mud can reach up to your ankles. And because its a long hike, its better to have shoes that protect your ankles in case fatigue kicks in and your stepping gets clumsier (happens to me anyway in long hikes).

    🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 *I do enjoy hiking. My most difficult hike was about 15 years ago when my brother and I hiked up to YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK’s HALF DOME here in California*. *The one thing I do NOT like about hiking in the wilderness is when you have to answer the CALL OF NATURE!*. *Taking a dump (pardon me) al fresco is no fun*. *Then, there is the absence of running water*. *There is a joke: bring your ANTI-MONKEY BUTT OINTMENT*. 🥴 *Some people develop this condition (red and itchy butt) even with wet wipes* *Hope you ladies were fine* *CHEERS FROM CALIFORNIA!* 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes  2 года назад

      Oh yes, completely agree with you! In Mt Apo, we literally have to go take a dump in any bushy area we can find and that is why they banned the use of wet wipes because it doesn't desintegrate fast. But after the guide told me that we can go anywhere in the mountain, I understood why. Other high peaks in the Philippines have a makeshift toilet like a hole in the ground kind of scenario but I guess Mt Apo has enough water sources and is always rainy to wash it all away.
      p.s. Never heard of the anti-monkey butt oitnment before! Thanks for the new knowledge haha

    Did someone really decide to play loud music while in the forest? 😔 that’s super disturbing not just for the co-campers but for the wildlife too! Pangit ka-bonding 😔

      We asked for other spots but apparently there is only one campsite in Mt Apo.. It was unfortunate that we were hiking together with another group that was really big and roudy that their boisterous laughter was disturbing our rest for the summit hike.

    Are you a couple? If not and you're not taken yet, can I court anyone of you, two gals? Both of you are just too gorgeous.
