Fightlite is sitting on a gold mine and is just twiddling their thumbs, milking this as much as they can. If they would make an SCR that works with an AR-10 upper, it would be sold out within a day.

Hi guys. Don't know if this is in the works, but i would LOVE to see (and buy) the MCR in a piston driven configuration with a 1913 rail for fixed or folding stock. I also saw the new Herring Bandito and interested in buying one in an AR10 lower. If i could fit my Gen12 upper on it, that would be a bad ass setup. And if it's sold by you guys in 8.6Blk and 6.5CM that be even better. Love what you guys got going on here and can't wait to buy myself the lower for the bandito on Christmas.

I live in NYC , I have a grandfathered AR , but I just picked this rifle up last week in 223/5.56 I am extremely glad I did . It is very accurate for me and it is very good quality . I ran 2k rounds in a week . I used 5 types of ammo from the cheapest all the way to the top , no issues at all , not one . I have owned a mini 14 my entire life and this gun is way better than a mini 14 . I love that it can use any brand of AR mags unlike the Ruger . And ruger mini 14 in NYC are selling for $1200-1500 as of the last few months , taking advantage of the fact we can’t get any semi auto AR style rifles except for the Ruger , but that has now changed . This is less money and way more of a firearm . And as a man who has hunted his entire life and used hunting style rifles and shotguns , this gun feels real nice to me , better than my AR . It’s more natural and after or aging for a week I am extremely competent with this firearm , more so then anyone who shoots in the 3 gun clubs I am a member of ,

Glad to see the FightLite seems to finally be embracing the SCR. I have two of the original ARES-branded SCRs from 2014(?), which have been my primary semi-auto rifles here in NY. For many years, it was like the SCR was an afterthought, as far as production and support. It's always been a great product, so I'm happy to see higher production and more promotion. Hopefully, there will be a precision trigger option at some point, either from FightLite or from a third-party manufacturer (e.g., Geissele.)

Also from NY. I think the SCR is the best NY option as it’s still half an ar15. I let these pass me by the first two production runs. Wasn’t making that mistake a third time so I jumped as soon as they became available. I have a BCM upper on mine and happy with it but I’m also hoping for some aftermarket support. Hope fightlite is reading! Lol

I placed a comment in agreement with this post earlier today. It's gone for some reason.
Basically I agreed that open sights are unobtainable for the SCR and I mentioned - with a link - that ARES (now Fightlite) used to make iron sights for the SCR and posted a link that described them. Is posting a link a problem and that's why my comment was deleted?
Here's some information from the link...
      From ARES:
      May 2015
ARES Defense Systems, the country’s leading manufacturer of innovative, mission-configurable firearms, parts and accessories announces the release and availability of its optional iron sights for the company’s ARES SCR™ rifles. The sights are designed to be user installed in minutes with the supplied wrenches and instructions - No Gunsmithing Required!
The front sight is installed over the ARES SCR™ low profile gas block and is a four-position protected post, adjustable for elevation with a standard AR sight wrench or bullet tip. The rear sight fits over the ARES SCR™ MIL-STD 1913 receiver rail and is user adjustable with a windage drum. Additionally, the front sight housing includes a 1″ sling swivel for mounting your favorite sling.

I don't see why a 22lr upper wouldn't work. They don't use the buffer at all. I only have experience with CMMG 22lr uppers. Mine is from right to bear. I believe the BCA is just different enough to not be CMMG parts compatible, but the same overall design. The only issue I could see is the back of the CMMG bolt carrier wouldn't have the stock ar15 buffer to push up against. To correct that some type of spacer could be created on a 3d printer or other material. I don't know how 9mm ar15s work, but I believe they require a buffer tube, and they use a different bcg. You could probably use a 6.5 grendel upper since they use the same bolt carrier, but a different bolt.
