Hello Maria , on the subject of baked beans, I buy the Sainsburys Stamford street baked beans at 27p. They never used to be very nice, but they changed the recipe a few years ago and they taste nice. They are well worth trying , I do add a little salt and warm them in a pan rather than the microwave, as any beans done in the microwave stay very runny. I sometimes put a tiny bit of curry powder in them and they are delicious , ( if you like that sort of thing) I'm quite fussy and wouldn't eat any old rubbish.😊
I like the idea of a bit of curry powder in them, they sound nice. I used to like Tesco beans, but they don't taste as nice now, I don't know if they've changed their recipe. I loved baked beans with brown sauce when I was young, my mum always had heinz, but I don't eat them very often now. Thank you for watching 😊
Because of my staff discount in Morrisons we very rarely shop anywhere else,maybe Farmfoods every now and then when the leaflet comes thruogh the door with the money off coupons,i sometimes go to Aldi or Lidl just to have a look in the middle aisle but not food shopping,another enjoyable video Maria Xx
Many years ago I shopped regularly with my friend at Morrisons, and when I'm in wales I always shop in Morrisons in Carmarthen, despite them having a tesco there. I like their choice of items and always found them to be good value. I haven't got a Morrisons near my home, Aldi is my closest supermarket and that's a couple of miles away. It's very useful for you having staff discount, it's not worth shopping elsewhere if you can save money in Morrisons.

we got pork tonight loin steaks like you I will cook them in air fryer not to long though , sometimes dust with bit sage .
I also get butter from Aldi , always use their flour and dried fruit , but when I want currants for Rock cakes have to go to Morrisons they nearer than Tesco . Adli don't do currants for some reason,

I've never cooked them in the air fryer before. I'll video it when I cook them, you can see how it turns out for me then. I was looking for mixed fruit in aldi a while back, but they hadn't got any. They said they only had it in near Christmas, I ended up getting a bag from tesco. Thank you for watching 😊

Hi maria you got a good lot foryour money everywhere is expensive oh do cook pork chops in air fryer they go nice a crispy on the out side like you have fryed them i love chopscooked in airfryer i got some from morrisons when i nipped in they had a bigger piece of fat round the edge of the chop and they were really nice and tasty last week on the sunday with jt being hot i just did chips and chops gravy and veg for tea we really enjoyed it we just eat whatever on a sunday in summer but winter ill do a roast or hotpot or a nice stew in the oven or slow cooker with veg in and creamy mash love fran take care ❤xxxx ❤xxxxxx
Oh gosh, reading this has made me feel hungry! 😂 I can't wait until the colder weather for the scrumptious foods 😋 I want to have a go at cooking more things in my slow cooker, I only had it last Christmas and I like using it, so come Autumn I'll be practising more things in it. I'll give the chops a go in the air fryer next week, and I'll video it so you can see whether they're a disaster for me, or not 😂

Aah sweet Maria I know how you feel some times you seem to get more for your money other times you can’t see what you get with your money like you say it’s when you need the bulk items and fresh meat that bumps the price up but living on Iceland meals isn’t so good all the time I think their ok for a quick snack but not all the time don’t feel bad you did a good haul take care 😊❤️
It's true, sometimes you look at the shopping and think how did it get to be this much, but when you take into account the extras I can see where it goes. I couldn't live on iceland pies constantly. I like proper homemade old school meals. Thank you for watching 😊
I got some of those sultanas and raisons i plan on making christmas cake, do you know if they need to soak before baking?
They do say to soak fruit overnight, but to be honest I never have. It's just a way of rehydrating the dried fruit. I can't say that I've ever found it makes too much difference.

Do you ever buy Sunday joints from Aldi or Tesco?
Only whole chickens or turkeys if there's enough of us for dinner. There's only two of us that eat meat on a Sunday which is why I usually buy chicken breasts. I have an awkward bunch of eaters! 😂

Can't belive the price increase on the ham&cheese sandwiches that's really expensive x if yous like Branson beans but I find them to expensive I put a little brown sauce in aldis and thay tast the same lol hubby only likes Branson beans but he has been eating aldis with brown sauce in for over 2 years and doesn't know thay aldis 😂😂
