No, none of the e39's had factory LSD except the M5

The tune is set up to do over run fuel and a second ignition spark. The position of the exhaust valve decides the loudness of the pops. In short, controlled miss fires.

either it's not the stock 4.4 liter m62 or the video is labeled wrong and this is a m5. if not this guy did the m5 lsd swap and modded his spare tire well to fit dual exhaust. either way this isn't a stock 540i sport.

dangelo ross you know for a fact? I have a 540i sport and there's not really much you can do to the 4.4 from what I've seen and the dual exhaust didn't come on the e39 540i. so he either cut the tire well for the dual exhaust or its a e39 m5 which would make sense with the sound, dual exhaust and lsd. e39 540i comes with a open diff. either way it's a awesome bmw. love the e39's

Thats definitely not an M5, sounds a little different from the S62, plus it has standart 540i wing mirrors. But you are right theres and LSD in there

Yeah those e39s were definitely not 540s or they had a supercharger or extensive modification possible pro charger or just a plain old M5 with straight pipe
