“I was just sitting here, feeling like the devil”. I just loved the episodes with Paul Lynde
This was one of the most hilarious episodes. Arthur's head was really in the clouds lol
WOW! The zaniness of this and shout out to fellow ABC television show "The Flying Nun"...priceless!!🥰
Love Uncle Arthur...
I loved their cars. GROOVY!
Absolutely groovy
“It’s tasty man, it’s groovy man, it’s Superman!”😂😂😂😂
LOVE the background theme, how fun is that! Cute mid century track. This really is extremely catchy and beautiful really, I miss when this music was normal to movies and shows and orchestras.
2:14 pure joy on that mans face.
Love the long shots with the obvious stunt double.. I adore my special effects full of shots that would never be detected on a 12 inch black and white television...😂
These “special effects” are done with a crane like they used in The Flying Nun, which Sam incidentally mentions.
Uncle Arthur will be disappointed to know it wasn't him flying.
Paul Lynde did a good job acting on Bewitched
One of my more memorable Bewitched episodes. Just before this, Samantha was showing Uncle Arthur how to use the gear lever in the car. "D? Shouldn't it be G for go?"
Sam: "Uncle Arthur would you please come down from there" Uncle Arthur : "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Hahaha, good on you Uncle!
🔹️ Fly as high as Superman with Top Pops
‘’ TOP POPS will put you on top of the world!”
Love Uncle Arthur ❤
I would love to know who said at a production meeting, "I know, let's put Paul Lynde into a Superman costume". Because, what else would you really do with Paul Lynde?
Giving him a girlfriend was even crazier.
seems like a no brainer to me, Superman or Girlfriend....:)
This episode must have been sponsored by Chevy. My favorite was the green camaro .
all the cars on this episode were gorgeous.
0:58. You can see the crane 🏗😂🤣
Good catch!
3:42 ?
Not it's uranus
besides aunt clara uncle Arthur was my favourite such a great actor another fun episode
In spite of the fact that the witches reference flying all the time, I think that Endora, Samantha and Uncle Arthur are the only ones we see fly through the sky!
Darrin does all the work, Larry gets all the glory . And big bucks.
First time I saw this was Feb 5, 1970, I was 7.
I was 2 years and 5 months.
I was 2 years and 11 months and 19 days. 11 days short of my 3rd birthday.
How the freak do you remember the exact date?
@@richparsons4205 It’s original air date is listed on IMDb, I watched it weekly then…In color too! Lol
The first time I watched this scene was in September of 2019. I was 13 and in eighth grade.
Still great after all these years. I'm in my mid fifties and loved watching old films from the 1930's when I was your age....enjoy.
I wonder if Screen Gems had to get permission from DC Commics to use the character.
Probably
I think they were able to get away with it by not having a 100% accurate costume.
It looks as if they did have to ask someone as the end credits of that episode have a Superman copyright 1970 National Periodical Publications Inc credit.
In our modern (2021) world, the flying looks so bad. Back then, people believed Paul Lynde was actually flying.
still works for me. Looks goofy, but Paul Lynde is gold. And did you notice the car Samantha had - now that is a classic car.
@@ourladyofguadalupebotanica6732 Definitely a classic.
Screw Uncle Arthur (no pun intended). I want the '69 Camaro Darrin's driving.
awesome vehicles in the late 60's. Would love to go back in time and drive through a city with those.
@@ourladyofguadalupebotanica6732 The car Sam and Uncle Arthur were in was a 1970 Impala. We had a Kingswood station wagon (same thing, but a fancier name).
4:52 Paul Lynde: "Can I get down now?"
He wants to go back to the center square! 😁
I love the references to season one's episode DRIVING IS THE ONLY WAY TO FLY. This is the first episode that Paul Lynde appeared in. I've always liked Paul Lynde.
Oh my stars!
That sneaky reference to the flying nun
#SallyField
They possibly borrowed the crane as they were filmed in the same studio.
You skipped over the best part of this clip. The scene where Samantha cast a spell so that the other car could not hit them. The car that Samantha and Uncle Arthur was in became transparent. This was the best special effects of Season 6.
too good episodes funny too uncle Arthur was fab
Hilarious. This ep is rarely on tv. I watched this new and always liked this show, but Samantha's family never considers how their actions can put her in a bind, they just do what the hell they want to. That is why she ends up having to lie alot.
Yep, and many times, Samantha would side with Endora against Darrin or never checked her mother when she mistreated him.
@@rockaway2k I have to disagree on that you're wrong their have been plenty of times where darrin was being rude to her family especially her mother and Samantha never stuck up for them.
'Don't be afraid to use the nails boys'..
Wow Great Old Tv Show
How did he forget how to drive? It hadn't been that many episodes since he was teaching Samantha how to drive a car.
When you give a shout out to your fellow network show.
I needed a good laugh today.
I love this episode 😂😂
Can't remember having seen this before!
RIP Paul
Never seen this episode, Funny she mentioned The Flying Nun!
Bewitched and the flying nun were filmed at the same studios. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I love this episode.
Wherever they were filming the houses were much bigger and fancier than where the Stevens would be living. That brick one in the background is huge. If it's a greenscreen they picked the wrong types of housing
There’s a huge building in the background it’s not a house and I’m not sure if it’s even an apartment building. You can tell it’s a studio lot from the different buildings there.
@@terencemckenna6468 That’s actually the background for the Friends opening segment.
@@jess4metoo For real?
@@terencemckenna6468 Yes! Look familiar? ruclips.net/video/OL14eNlb2Rk/видео.html

YOU GO UNCLE ARTHUR, UP, UP, AND AWAY , MY FAVORITE OF SAMANTHA'S RELATIVES!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS AND GOD OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING
Surprised you know who next door didn't see this !
1970 Chevrolet Impala Convertible
When that cop came and said we had calls about this one, if I were Samantha I would have said what's it anyone's business anyway.
@1:17 The Partridge Family’s house
0:51 Some poor camera guy got wired up. Or maybe they gave the stunt double a camera.
At the point of the police arrival is when Sam should have said, I don't know that man in the superman suit.
From the six season episode "Super Arthur".
Darrin always came up with such lousy slogans…it’s a wonder he was McMahon & Tate’s top Ad guy!
He had to come up with something on the fly considering the circumstances, what does anyone expect?
You have to take the era into account. People were more into the absurd than they are today.
Did anyone see this episode in season 6, episode 19...at the end is some stunt guy with his hair parted the opposite as Paul Lynde's?
RIP
😅🤣😂
Uncle Arthur was always full of pranks. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
You can't use an established character with a pre sold audience without paying.
I'm sure that the company had a budget to be able to do that.
…and Thanos destroys half of the warlocks!
They'd have to get permission from DC Comics. To use the Superman image.
Still better than Superman Returns.
They couldn't have made him go faster and fly normally?
Uncle Arthur, is the best Uncle anybody could ever have !!!!!!! Love him!!! Love this show, it's the best!!! I do not like, Dick Sargent at all!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!!
Superman can fly faster than that and doesn't fly like he's on a wire lol
Loved Uncle Arthur episodes…Hated Larry Tate incompetence.
Oh yeah, I hear you there.
Huge Bewitched fan here, but this is one of my least favorite episodes. Don't care for it at all.
All this talk about a gay Superman is just ridicules, I just don't see it.😅😅😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣👍❤🇺🇸
He sure is flying slow
No Lawsuit from DC Comics over this episode?
They should have invested a couple more bucks into the costume .. It looks like a Walmart costume
