Nice to see how a DRZ performs on a MX track. Appears the suspension is way better than my CRF250L - super spongy. Just had my Ohlins (front & rear) arrive... hopefully helps. Great riding, especially that many laps on such a heavy bike.
This demonstration is so cool! I'm really impressed what the stock DRZ SM can do! Did you end up bending the stock rims, or damaging the stock suspension? Also, what tires were you running? They seem to hook up pretty good!
Hi Mykolas, After Having a few of these bikes it's definitely a great all-around dirt bike! The power in stock form and set up is not the best though compared to anything else on the market its hands down the best reliable supermoto type transportation on the market. With running a just a FCR 41mm carb and a full pipe you can get 30000-50000 miles on the stock engine with no issues. When buying a stock DRZ they have barely enough to pull the front end up in 2nd, now with our kit 70mph wheelies are possible when you're rolling down the freeway!
With the FCR39, 3X3, and full MRD at 1000ft elevation, what jetting do you suggest with stage1 hotcams? Im thinking 160 for the main jet? I have a 155 in it for the stock cams, but still not even sure if that's the right one
Hey. I got my fcr411 today and fitted it; it feels awesome!!! So much more power and so much smoother throught the range! Only problem is that its popping under decel and the overheating light popped on.... Will I need to play with the jetting? I ordered it to London, UK; could you tell me what the jet settings are as the carb comes? Cant wait to dial it in and cause havoc on the streets! Thanks James
Hey, James glad it arrived from across the pond! Let's talk about it :) the jetting we installed is perfect for any non-bored or moded engine. This is what I would check if it was in our shop. When idling spray carb cleaner (of the sort) all around the outer part of the carb and see if it changes idle. If so then there is an air leak that is causing it to run lean. The jets are larger than stock 450 bikes come with so its perfect unless ur running some mods internally that we both were not aware of.
Will do! The front pops up with no effort now up to 4th gear, 5th takes a a bit of gas, but the stock carb couldn't get the front up in 4th at all! Will leave a review shortly on your site too! We just got over the snow and theres threats of more snow... The joys of British weather!
Ah... One thing forgot to ask; theres a rubber hose coming off the rubber airbox that connected to the old carb... Could that be causng me issues? Its not plugged onto/into anything at the moment as I couldnt see a spot for it on the fcr... Thanks
frame can handle it, stock suspension cannot. You could jump a dr650 with the right suspension but it is a heavier bike so not ideal. we offer options for both.
Yes on this video the forks and shock are 100% stock, we have a new drz400sm with upgraded forks and shocks we just built to ride the Fox raceway national track that video should be posted soon!
No lie, 80lbs heavier than the fe501 we have, although with the Showa forks and shock mods, it's really impressive what this bike can do, which we just tested on the Pala national track last month. The video should be up next month.

Oh yea this supermoto is built off the RM250 which is a great platform still today!
Nice music prelude. Trippy. That’s tough beast to muscle around for too many laps. Ran out of something....but don’t we all.
Thx Stephen! Yah the new 18 drz we just finished should handle the track better but might be time for a new rider to take the reigns.

Until I ran out of talent! Haha that’s hilarious. Nice video man 👍🔥
MidWest MX Your awesome! I wonder if We messed with the suspension valving if i would have soaked it up .
OEM dirtbikeparts more than likely. Always blame the bike, never the rider. That’s what I do haha
What tires are you running and their size please
Yea what size ? I’d like to know too. Any rubbing issues?
Hey, happy Easter, loving your videos man! I want to buy a drz400sm. Is it reliable? Good motorcycle? Worth buying ? What's your opinion on it?

I like your Videos man! I just bought a new Drz400sm and I hate the stock headlight. what kind of headlight is that on your bike? I really like it!
Nice This is a Baja Design's LED PRO
Awesome thanks!
Nice content man ! I’m located in Cali as well , what track is this ?
Chris Johnson 🦾 it’s in Anza ca one of the best around is what most say - @CahuillaMx

So a drz400 frame can handle jumps without any problems? Any knowledge on the dr650 aswell?

Is this stock suspension?

Great riding before running out of talent.
Damn that bike sounds good, what exhaust is that?
full yosh with fcr41mm
please somebody tell me how to make my drz sound exactly like this one
Ha thanks, it's our large stepped Yosh RS2 pipe and this FCR 42mm carb that really allows this bike to breathe.
@@dirtbikeplug thank you so much I’ll get right on that!
@@dirtbikeplug Is there anything else done do it?
@@rideman5068 that’s all sir
Found the end of the stroke! Ouch
😂 great bike just needed set up like the last 18 Drz400 we built.
Stock suspension?
stock just stiffened clickers
You can tell it's a heavy bike

@@dirtbikeplug it is very impressive
