  • I found that no amount of coffee will make the day have enough hours, so I have to cut back on some projects. I also don't want to leave people unsupported, so I came up with a plan. Oh, and I fixed the A/C in my Grand Cherokee again...

That light bracket you guys made, if you beef it up a bit, and perhaps add that anti bend kink you can see on some brackets, that could be a great mount for an out of the water intake. Usually, you have to drill holes all over a vehicle, not just the fender, to install it. Brilliant bracket idea you guys had, thought i'd share a potential use for it.

Since striking out on my own, my career has taken me around the world and presented me with far more opportunity and personal satisfaction. Your decision to pass the torch to these talented and enthusiastic young men is both rational, considering your well deserved growth on social media and pride in your work, ensuring the quality standard you implemented remains. It’s one thing to be smart enough to figure out how to make just about anything you need but it’s entirely another (and more rare) to be able to explain it so others can understand. Awesome that you found M11 Off-road and shared that information so others can source parts made in America and affordable.

I am excited to see M11Offroad will continue to offer these. I love ZJ's and want to keep the one that I have out on the trail, but it has been disappointing and a little bit frustrating to see so many ZJ aftermarket companies go out of business over the past few years. For one of my winter projects I want to AX15 swap my ZJ, so I'll be planning to order this kit within the next few weeks.

Lou, I watched the video this morning on the Jeep. The parts that you make the same thing happens on the Toyota 4 runner. The pedal actually collapses because it's such cheap pot metal. I had to have my motor rebuilt right after I got it out. I stepped on a clutch and it was like stepping on a rotten tomato, so you could bring designer. Have those guys redesign that assembly for the Toyota forerunner. 92.
I'm not sure about the other years.I have a 90 too and might help them sure. They'd sell like hot cakes

I'm not a ZJ guy, prefer the XJs. But I can really appreciate that you sold your business on to someone else to keep the product on the market. Kills me to find the perfect product for a vehicle just to find the company went under or has a stupid long lead time. Like the 231 doubler kit out there - if you can get one they're great, but good luck because the guy is really slow.

OK James, Thank you for another fine video. So, here's my story about working for a big company. I went to work for GM back in the late 70's. I was a Mopar guy thru and thru, but as one of my uncles who was a comptroller for Chrysler said, "their money spends." Well, living 5 miles from Pontiac Motors place of origin, lots and lots of people drove GM's so I gave it a try. I went to work in Engineering at a "proving ground." Not exactly assembly line work but I did a lot of repetitive things. But I wasn't an Engineer, so I figured OK let's give it a minute. Well the first thing I found out was even though I was working in automobile manufacture, I had no union representation. And guess what: They didn't want to pay much. But, I thought I'd give them a try anyway. After a while I found myself working all the overtime I could find at GM. So, one day a buddy called me up and said come over and check out a couple of businesses he was thinking about buying. One was a Pizza joint, another was a Dairy Queen, and still another was a carwash. I told him I didn't like the food industry because we'd both be dead from obesity at an early age. And the carwash was about a million years old, and it was something neither of us knew anything about much. So, then one day he asked me to come over and see a 4 bay car repair business. It was very small in profile, mostly handling older retires from Pontiac Motors cars, but I really liked the idea of car repair. So, I drove the 25 miles to his place 6 days a week befor I reported for work at GM. I had some distributive education and I had a philosophy: Take good care of the customers and outright ask them to bring someone back. I always gave the customer more than they needed for their repair. I.e. Several customers showed up with cars that needed brakes or exhaust and they warned me not to use the driver door because it was broken. Many many times I did the brakes or exhaust work and then worked on the door without telling them. Sometimes I would accompany the customer out to their car as they were leaving and I'd grab the door handle and open the door for them. They'd be shocked to see it worked. "That door hasn't worked for 2 years" some said. NO CHARGE! I'd say, Just bring someone else back. Success! (for my buddy) They brought people back in droves. Eventually my buddy bought the restaurant next door and made a larger 9 bay store for him to work out of. I kept helping until my knees needed replacing, and also worked at the GM job every day. GM went bankrupt, but some of us got to stay under the new name. I had to take a 10% pay cut, but I could work all the overtime I wanted. My buddy had become big business too, and was making millions by then but he never offered me anything extra for helping. So I gravitated back to GM only. But had to leave a little early due to some kind of vertigo issue. And now after the Obama 3.0/ Biden Harris inflation, stock market destruction, bond market implosion,(and who ever heard of bond market being destroyed?) and finally blaming the inflation on consumers instead of congress they even raised the interest rates on money borrowed which destroyed the real estate market. I'm doomed. I can't work, and there is literally nowhere to invest left. Oh and I almost plumb forgot, I bought several vintage Mopar cars and pickup trucks to convert to hot rods and "Little Red Express" and "Warlock" trucks, but Obama 3.0/ Biden Harris is threatening to take gasoline away. Net Zero Carbon by 2030. Also Too, I have heard in Europe they have begun to stop production of certain specialty lubricating oils, like Hypoid and ATF. I only wish I would have forgone everyone else and did my own thing. But, hindsight is always 20/20, right? Having fun now just trying to keep my own cars going without paying to have it done, but it is hard with the world spinning all the time. ben/ michigan

I think the idea of the upper fasteners is about crash safety. This way, the bracket can't rotate to the side (easily) if crash forces push in the firewall. This avoids that your feet get caught by the pedal or the bracket flipping up against the solid bar above.

I would prefer a fuse for a heavy load like a blower fan. I had used a circuit breaker before and it would go open after a long use time under heavy load, simply by getting hot. Learned that the hard way when I used one for a radiator fan on a customer's car. O_o
