I'll be taking a detour more fun for human persons.
I'm nor sure if it's different now, but 8 years ago, this was the smelliest, stinkiest zoo I had ever been to. The smell was unbearable.
It's never been like that for me. I love this zoo and I have never had any problems (Other than a giraffe almost stealing my hat of my head, LOL).
Dude animals smell they arent supposed to smell lile flowers...

I haven't been to this 1. But DC zoo stinks. Always has.😣🤢
I would rather see the 217 acre resort sunk before building it and give the animals more room for their enclosures. All this opulence and golf when big cats are going crazy pacing small enclosures. No, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo does nothing for me.
