    It's pretty ironic that Firouzja is so fast in speed chess but playing too slow is a common issue in classical chess.

    • @nathanielwong2052
      @nathanielwong2052 Месяц назад

      I mainly play bullet online (not at a high level) but I do think it makes me player slower in classical games because in my mind I (incorrectly) think I can play when in time trouble because I’m used to online bullet. I wouldn’t be shocked if top players sometimes think like this too…

    • @raygarasich6152
      @raygarasich6152 Месяц назад

      @@nathanielwong2052I agree with this. I also think that I play bullet so much that I struggle at middle game tactics more than if I played slower time controls.

    What a wild game between Magnus and Alireza! I think this is the first time I feel like both opponents have each other's number in terms of mind games and tactics in a speed chess setting... there's a good chance we could be seeing a rematch between these two in the grand finals!

    To be fair to Alireza, he could've won the last game..He was in a better position most of the game and a simple mistake turned the game in favor of Magnus ..even at the end he gained back his winning position but didn't have time to comvert it.. similarly the first game ... Magnus was a bit lucky today !
