On the face of it, it’s my perfect camera, but I’m waiting. I’m concerned about the reports of overheating in 10 minutes and then it won’t cool down. I’m also concerned as to how Sony has all the RUclips influencers reviewing their cameras pre release and whether we can really trust the reviews as independent- if the review was bad would the reviewer be invited on the next ‘camera camp’? Is there going to be unconscious bias on the reviews? I’m thinking I would find it inevitable if it were me.
Fair concerns! I will say, Sony didn’t require any camp attendees to make a review, they just let us all try it out while we were there. But, I don’t plan on buying this camera either (mostly because of the lack of EVF and the resolution
I never actually had an issue with it overheating. Sometimes overheating has to do with the shooting environment. I used it outdoors, in direct sun, but the weather was nice with a breeze so it never overheated for me
Nice video and info 👊🏿 In your opinion what cameras do you think are best for podcasting? I already have and use the Sony A6100 and A6400. I’m looking for one more camera to add to my setup. Thanks.
Hey Ben! Got a chance today to watch your phenomenal review, and PHENOMENAL it is! Your presentation skills are honestly top notch and next level. You offer insight to anyone and everyone who is here, regardless of their background or experience level. The information was structured, yet it also had a comfortable and relaxed storytelling cadence to it. The varieties of visual appeal in this video were also so rich and unique! I'm going to return to re-review this and other videos on your channel again as well! Which is fine because I'm not currently in a position to spend money on a camera right now, but can utilize that time to further educate myself. This is by far THE PLACE to be to do so! 😊
Thanks for the review :) Could you do a future update if you noticed the overheating? Because some people said that it overheated in 5mins in 4K 50fps... And I have other options that can shoot 4K 25fps...
I didn’t have any issue with it, but I don’t record long clips at 4K 60, only slow mo clips. I did film the talking head with this camera at 24fps outside for over 30 min and no issue overheating

@Ben Johnson which camera would you buy instead?
@@MadeleineMedia16 Personally, i'm considering the a7iv for myself, but here's my current main camera: ruclips.net/video/cWzB_zeVsZU/видео.html
@Ben Johnson looks great! But as a very beginner I think I'll wait a while with paying that amount. Maybe when more knowledgeable 😊
hello at 1:31 you film with the zve1 ? with lens and settings please ? I like a lot I ant the same effect with mine
So I understand I buy a7c yesterday - that’s was not wrong decision I subscribed too
I love the A7c
Thanks Ben. Perhaps only the heat issue is my biggest concern with buying this camera. How many hours can it work well?

@@benjohnsoncreative cool! Thanks.

Depends on your budget, I personally love would upgrade to the A7iv. The ZVE10 is great also and cheaper
Thanks Ben 🙏 how was the LED screen in the sun? Very difficult, or? I have the fx6 and I am searching for a small b-cam 😅
Not bright enough in bright sun for me! I definitely still prefer and wish this had an EVF
@@benjohnsoncreative thanks a lot Ben 🙏

@@benjohnsoncreativevery interesting. If this camera doesn't overheat, I can overlook the plastic body and the micro hdmi.
Great video.. makes me wanna change camera and this didn't happen for a long time. What LUT or pp did you use to make this ZVE1 REVIEW?
Bro, you were in my hometown! I hope you enjoyed your visit!
It was awesome!
can't belive i missed your video
You didn’t miss it!
First.
You win! 🥇
Super great review!!
Thanks Elijah!
Looks like a great camera, but the price tag is really massive.
It’s definitely not an entry level price point
