Me and a friend used to go to a wilco in the UK when we was homeless and on a Sunday we used to get all the pic'n'mix sweets, bags full and we got caught one night and the shop guy said i haven't got a problem you taking them but please just dont leave a big mess (turns out people was just throwing everything on floor to get to the good bits) It was on camera so he could see we cleaned up afterwards so the next week we went and he had put them all in neat bags and tide them up for us 😊 we would keep a bag each and hand the rest out at the homeless shelter on Monday mornings people loved it. My teeth are paying the price now though 😮😢😂
WOW Thomas i can relate to this i started as a child diving and we used to go to Woolworths and get pick and mix bags the manager there used to invite us in the store and used to chat to us he was sound. i have really bad teeth aswel hope i can afford to get them fixed one day all going well. thanks for watching the videos take care martin =-)
@@dumpsterdivinguk that's brilliant, Woolworths going back a few years now i very much remember the shop though. Dumpster diving got me through a whole year of homelessness a few years back clothing and food on many occasions, I'm back on my feet now and have a bit of free time so im thinking of diving again and giving the useable stuff to a soup kitchen that comes out in my town (Northampton) in the evenings. Hopefully help one or two people in a situation that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Love the videos mate keep it up good luck out there 🙂👍
mate thats exactly the same as me been made homeless a number of times and it is 100% survival mate, i do it mostly to help people but i also earn bit of a living from it as i cant get work due to a bad past but im making up for it now lol. good luck to you if you start going out ile send a little of my luck your way mate if you need anything send me a message. =-)
wow! I think that is the first time you have met a manager that wasn't fussed about u diving. He just wanted to make sure u weren't fly tipping. Top man! 👍🏻
remeber way way back when i was a young lad food storages would usualy just throw good food in an open container , with a massive sign above it free food get it before midnight to prevent it to go bad. they eventuly stopped but alot of food charity's went there for food and supplies
Martin, just a tip with the candles. If the glass is broke, instead of melting them down, just pop them in the freezer for a bit in a plastic bag. Then the glass should come away easy.
The reason they cut things up, like the curtains, is so you can't take them into the store, to get a refund on something they've already thrown out. Totally reasonable to me, although it would be better for them to donate them to a charity shop rather than destroying them.
what is to stop me buying them from a charity and then taking them back for a refund??? they slash them because they dont want anyone else to have them nothing more than that.
They could just remove the labels, or cut a 'v' in the labels, to show that they have been discarded. I get your point though, cos some people will try that.
Instead they could cut the labels out not destroy the curtains..once the label is gone the item has been altered and will not be acceoted back..jees they could think outside the box a little
Disgraceful, some of these companies should be named and shamed. Never mind you might be breaking the law, you need an environmental medal! , some individuals need prosecution.
My m8 worked for argos an then smyths toys and most days before they dumped there unsold stuff in the bins they had to smash it up just so no one could use it . Even stuff in boxes nothing wrong with them smashed them and bin them
Dumpster during is a good occupation or business just like any other. Above all it's sustainable, environmentally friendly and has a substantial component of giving back to the community.
2019 by Ormonde Jayne is a new floral fruity fragrance for women and men. This is a new perfume. 2019 was released in 2023. Top notes are bergamot, mandarin, orange and freesia; middle note is jasmine. Base notes are sandalwood, musk and vanilla extract. Greetings from The Netherlands. I love to watch your vlogs!!
TK max in Norwich would slash all the clothing they would throw away, it was just wrong. On the flip side Gregg's main hub in Norwich would put food in the big skips but sort it into bags so people could take it with minimum fuss. When I was homeless the food we got from Greggs kept up healthy and well fed. The staff would never make you feel crap if they "caught" you in the skip, they would go back in and have there break when you had finished. Iceland on the other hand would poor out of date milk over the food to make it unusable and mock you if they saw you looking. Any company that would rather destroy food than feed someone who is hungry and in need is a company I will never spend money in. Now im back on my feet I have shares in Greggs PLC and when I buy food for someone on the streets its nearly always from Greggs!
About 20 years ago I was a worker for a homeless charity in London called The Simon Community , M&S in Camden would donate all there unused food each day ( sometimes just a few loaves of bread , at Christmas and Easter it would be 2 minibuses full ) . We could not give out the food in there M&S packaging or say where it was from in case they where sued due to someone getting ill etc or people trying to take items back to get a refund. Sadly there are people who will take advantage of anyone including those that will stop them from going hungry. There is a reason some people are on the streets and it is because they have and will take advantage of everyone around them for short term gain. I say this as a former rough sleeper and addict . ( that said there are many who under the guise of helping others will take advantage and exploit those most in need and desperate ) I realy should write a book!
Read what you have put on here and it’s brilliant I agree with it all by the way I love the song you play on here can you tell me what it is I would love to buy it. Thanks honey keep up what your doing and be yourself don’t take any nonsense xxx
Brilliant I commented on last video about food banks you said you didn't do as they were picky but watched another with you taking food to bank have they changed there minds
It's not a foodbank it's a homeless charity that also helps anyone in need they help with clothes furniture beding food everything anyone needs its a fantastic charity and the guy who runs it is a genuine fantastic guy. Thanks for watching.
Ahh I'm over the moon thank god some people aren't that silly as your finds are perfectly fine you never take nothing you think that's at harm well done keep up the good work
Just wondering what do you do with all the food when take things that out of date.... Also should always wear gloves lad.. how much roughly you think all the stuff you get is worth a year..... would be good to see a follow up video you donation to a charity.
@AUDITINGWASTEUK must save you big fortune over the year. I've never seen or heard of anyone dumpster diving in till came across your videos. Some crazy things you find eh
There's alot of bad press at the moment about vitamin d supplements - this could be the reason they'd thrown out 1000's of bottles in that skip. Messing about with people's health is taking a big chance mate!

Makes a joke of us recycling as individual households when businesses are binning and destroying items on a daily basis
wow! I think that is the first time you have met a manager that wasn't fussed about u diving. He just wanted to make sure u weren't fly tipping.

Shops need to do this so much food that is still in date gets thrown away it’s a waste why can’t they just give it to food banks

Nah its so you can't have anything from them...., from them for free !!
