Love your song. My husband has Early onset Alzheimer’s so your song means a lot. It’s a tough journey. He was diagnosed a week before he turned 60. Prayers for all the families touched by this disease.
how old is your husband now? my grandfather was 64 when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and now he is 82 i believe. its just a terrible disease cause technically you lose the person twice when they lose it mentally and then when they die. i'm just surprised how long my grandfather is lasting cause he is at the last stage with no quality of life and doesn't know who his own family is.
Had me tearing up. I know this is an older interview. You are an amazing son. You have humility and a big ❤. Your Mom is absolutely right next to you... always.

Your song touches me like nothing I have ever felt in my LIFE! Other than my mother-in-law going through the same thing. We are blessed that she still knows our names to this day. Today Hospice was called in to take over. Such an emotional day!

Hello, my mother has Alzheimer's, the doctors said that she may have 8 more months of life, you have no idea what me and my family are going thru in this days, cause I'm in some sort of a denial like there's nothing wrong with her! Oh Jesus, help me be strong!! But I notice something on your interview, you said that your mother got diagnosed with Dementia at the age of 50.... I'm 51 and I heard that this illness is hereditary.... Thanks Jay Allen for putting into words what we can not express.
