I do the counting in triplets for this song, 1&a 2&a 3&a 4&a. with a metronome set at 63bpm works well.

I see that you use the straight way to play the A in the video. In the beginners course you taught us to play the other way. Is there a general rule on which way to play it?

I am really struggling to understand his finger placements in this video for the G major, can someone explain where each of his fingers are in regards to strings and frets? I'm still a beginner but really want to learn this song :)
Little finger 3rd fret of first string.
Ring finger 3rd fret second string.
Middle finger 3rd fret 6th string.
(If you were doing a full G chord you would put your first finger on the second fret of the 5th string but it isnt needed for this song)
