They were both conditionally willing to accept the transfer to win the day, but neither of them wanted it, which is why I think the transfer was able to be broken and reversed.
Incorrect. The reason OFA transferred to Deku is because OFA chose him. The quirk is sentient due to how it captures a remnant of each user's consciousness within itself as it's passed on and Deku is the only one to have been granted favour by all of its previous users (which was proven when it was revealed that no other user had been contacted by the predecessors before him). To put it simply, Bakugo didn't get to keep OFA because it had already decided that it belonged with Deku amd it wasn't interested in being sacrificed by its chosen successor under duress.

The one thing I noticed when watching was how much the Kid was similar to Deku. He ran to save his sister just like Deku runs to save Kachhan when he was Quirkless. Deku saves him like All Might saves Deku. And Deku tells him You can be a Hero like All Might tells him. Shows how much Deku has grown from being a Fan to an Ideal and Hero for many others.
@@Narutoanime16g true. I know they are still building her character and so forth, but she should still be able to do more even with the little screen time she has.
About the timeline, this movie is canon and has been eluded to a few times in the manga, like with the first movie. It likely takes place ~ late season 5-early season 6 though, so a lot of things in here were eluding to future events (that had already happened by the movie’s start), especially with one for all and the league. Stay tuned and the answers will present themselves
So... When transferring one for all you no longer need to wait a few hrs for it to have an effect? Didn't all might explained that in the first season? I'm confuse, cause the effect on bakugo was instantaneous. That's why I kinda didn't enjoy that part and thought, "well this is bs but oh well, it's not canon, must be fan service, or something" now you're telling me it's canon?
Every time I rewatch Tokoyami's rage moment, it gets me so emotional because I rarely get to see his outburst like this during the whole show, except for S3, but didn't show much of the actual outburst like here.
Anything with the current One For All user's DNA would do for the transfer, its just hair was the least gross thing All Might could come up with. Both of them had cuts on their hands so it was transferred by blood. As for why it went back, I'm not sure. All Might was only guessing the transfer was canceled because Bakugo lost consciousness based on the information he had on hand. To the best of my knowledge nothing like this has ever happened in the history of One For All, but then again much of it's history is unknown to us and its not like it came with an instruction manual. One fan theory I heard was that Bakugo willed the power back to Deku and is only pretending to not remember anything to avoid having to bring it up. I could see how that is possible and both kids likely had each other's DNA in their system at the time. Consent of the current user was also stated to be a requirement, which is why Stain didn't accidentally steal One For All when he fought Deku. I could see Deku regretting giving up his power once Nine was defeated and subconsciously canceling the transfer before it was completed. I don't really have much to base that on, its just a guess. Lastly its also possible One For All has its own agency and could of chosen to return to Deku of it's own accord. There is a fair bit I don't understand about that quirk and I can't rule out it having the ability to return to a former user. Although until now it likely didn't have any reason to do so. When I watched this in the theater I assumed Bakugo would return the power to Deku after the fight. While he doesn't like to admit it, he clearly has a begrudgingly respect for Deku. Although I wasn't sure how doing that would effect One For All as it gets stronger every time its passed from one person to the next, even if Bakugo only had it for a few minutes he could permanently effect it.
True reason why OFA's still in Deku will be explained later on in the story in japan, many fans including myself complained "Bakugo became unconscious before it's completed?! what a stupid wrap-up!" though now we're understood after reading manga (^ ^)
@@kingexplosionmurder9028 Yeah it sucked a bit for anime onlys cause it definitely put a damper on what was otherwise an awesome movie, that and the spoiler by Nine earlier on.
@@kingexplosionmurder9028 Be a bit careful what you say. New chapters don't hit the US until Sunday, so I hadn't read 304 yet. Also that gives reason why it must be Deku. Its not that Bakugo can't have it, its that he shouldn't. They didn't saw it would reject him and snap back to Deku because he is ill suited to it's power. Granted if One For All has it's own agency then I could see it's collective will rejecting Bakugo. I like to think of the mechanics of how quirks work and their limitations. I am largely wondering about the effects of Bakugo holding the power, even if it was for less than a hour, would have on One For All, given that each user changed it in some way. It could be argued that since it was for such a short time it wasn't able to absorb anything. Anyway I shouldn't go into anymore detail as I'm getting dangerously close to spoiler territory.

This movie takes place sometime after what is gonna be the 5th season so there are some minor spoilers like the stuff about deku's quirk and tokiyami flying
That's the plan from the beginning, the manga is supposed to end soon, then we'll probably get the next generation of heroes, taken up by a new mangaka.
@kayoh310 The manga is possibly ending in 2024, the One Piece creator gave Horikoshi a goal to atleast 50 volumes of the manga, the manga is currently at volume 30, so don’t worry lol. The reason why it’s probably 2024 is because the manga started in 2014, so 10 years of creating the manga.
If you're wondering how Deku gave Bakugo one for aII by just hoIding his hand, They both had battIe injuries including open cuts on their skin, so when they heId hands, Deku's bIood got into Bakugos cuts. He aIso didn't have to wait 3 hours to use the quirk Iike deku Because bIood traveIs fast around the body, So it was fuIIy in his system by the time they had to kick ass
The most plausible explanation is in a way, the One-for-All quirk have atleast a semi conciousness that formed from the essence and will of the past One-for-All users, especially from the first user. According to the first user, the 9th holder will be significant, and Deku is the 9th. Maybe there's something special about the 9th and the fact that the other quirk that was stored in the quirk itself is unravelling now.
Also for the record, this was NOT the original ending for the show. Horikoshi said that there were some elements of this ending that were going to be in his original ending, but when the director of the movie asked to use them he agreed, because he said he had an even better idea for the ending.
This is one of my most favorite anime films I own on bluray! The animators went Crazy making this film it's crazy to think how can the next season or even A new film top the Action in this Movie!
Thank you for including that part with all might where he's says "no that's not it", because people don't seem to understand that it wasn't bakugo loosing contiousness that transfered OFA back to deku it was rather OFA and the passed users giving it back
People don't understand because many have no manga context which apparently makes it clear. To anime onlys this ending really felt like a cop out with no explanation bothered to be written at all.
@@Sheechiibii all might literally says "no that's not it, for risking your life to protect, and risking your life to provail one for all did something miraculus" yet somehow people keep saying it was because bakugo list consciousness and the transfer didn't finish. No that's not it(get it)
@@ultradeathboy People don't understand what it was because that's not an explanation either. All Might seemed to not have a clue that this was just a movie and didn't actually happen (that's how lazy it felt lol) so was muttering confused about what it could be, concluding with 'it was a miracle'. It's no wonder people try to explain it and without the manga context they can't, but unconsciousness is easier to understand for some than an unexplained miracle. People theorise about things they can't understand all the time because they don't yet have the information they need. I bet you've seen theories about things in the manga too, that's what happens when fans have unanswered questions. And the whole ending was a massive unanswered question for anime viewers.
That song that plays at the end of the battle is called "Might+U" is a vocal version of You Say Run and If you pay attention to the orchestration or speed up the song you can really reconized the song. And was also played in season 4 when Deku reach to Eri.
Its canon. To the main story. Both are canon. Writer and Directors confirmed it in interviews. But the manga is ahead of the anime and by the time he incorporated nine they were already past it in the manga and wanted to hurry for season 5 so they made a movie instead. Everything that happened in the move happens in the actual timeline. In the manga. They just didn't mention it in the manga. Hes briefly in one of the manga chapters as well. This movie was great and season 5 is coming and its insane. Its gonna get emotional and debunked about to be a whole different beast. You'll love it. 1 more months and season 5 is here

As long as there’s DNA involved and the will to pass it one for all could be passed to another, Deku and Bakugo just used the cuts and the blood to pass it, and I won’t spoil about OFA and the reason how it got back to Deku at the end. It also makes sense of how Bakugou could activate it on command since people with experiences with their quirks it’s easier to activate a second, sorta like 9

For Further elaboration on why One For All didn't transfer to Bakugo. *Spoiler Warning ahead* *I'm Serious HUGE manga spoilers don't read if you don't want to be spoiled* The Quirk One For All is a conscious being holding the consciousness of the previous users of One For All within it allowing them to refuse to be transferred if the previous user feel like its not the right decision. On top of that recently in the manga we found out that people who inherit One For All who already have a quirk are overwhelmed by it causing them to slowly die as the 4th user of One For All who died of old age at 40 this has to do with the quirk singularity explained in season 4. this means people without quirks are the best candidates to receive One For All as they have the ability to fully utilize the power and not risk getting their life cut short. that is the whole reason why One For All didn't transfer to Bakugo the reason All Might thought it was due to lack of consciousness is because All Might was the first quirk less user of One For All and while he had it the quirk hadn't grown strong enough for the past user to be able to start communicating with him yet meaning he wouldn't have known that it was the past users will to remain within Deku.
Are you guys going to react to the OVAs as well? There's one for S1, one for mid-season 2, one small one that ties into the first Movie, and 2 for season 4 (that happens in between S3 events).
When you realize Midoriya already had three children to watch in the future. Like if All Might raise him, Midoriya then raise Kota, Eri, and Katsuma. Also there's already 4 Generation of Big Three. Eraserhead, Present Mic and Someone from Manga (shush), Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki And who knows those three children.
@@ey.9329 Clearly implied by the last scene of season 4. If the 1st user can name the 9th through the void, then all the users have kept a degree of free-will, like when they intervened during the sports festival to save Deku from Shinso's Brainwash. Tapping into the full power of One for All also demands their acceptation of the new user (the scene in the void with B**** W*** in the manga).

You can't get One for All by just eating hair. You need DNA, and most importantly the will to pass on the quirk from the bearer to transfer One for All.
Nines original quirk to control the weather is crazy awesome. He was a cool villain. Something else that always slipped my mind until now. When Nine tried to take One For All the pass holders helped protect it so that it doesnt fall in the wrong hands but it was stated in s2 I believe that it cant be taken by force but I never realized was when Nine said he must have multiple quirks so he didnt have enough space.
Bakugo with OFA is the dopest thing EVER!!!
I love that Momo can just make anything she doesn't get enough credit. this movie is awesome! Deku and Bakugo are so fun working together
Right they really nerf her. She should be the most versatile of all of them
@@everburn I wouldn’t say they nerf her she just doesn’t get enough screen time like lots of characters in the show lol
@@Narutoanime16g true. I know they are still building her character and so forth, but she should still be able to do more even with the little screen time she has.

I loved this movie much more than the first.
The story of Shigaraki:
•Drip on em
•Dip on em
About the timeline, this movie is canon and has been eluded to a few times in the manga, like with the first movie. It likely takes place ~ late season 5-early season 6 though, so a lot of things in here were eluding to future events (that had already happened by the movie’s start), especially with one for all and the league. Stay tuned and the answers will present themselves
is Tsu taller be this point in time? She looked taller to me, but i only watched the movie once.
Buts it's not 100% cannon tho
@@JustKairu Deku had to wait because he needed AM's hair to be digested. In this case, Deku transferred OfA to Bakugou directly through blood.
@@Dr.HooWho it is it just came out earlier
Every time I rewatch Tokoyami's rage moment, it gets me so emotional because I rarely get to see his outburst like this during the whole show, except for S3, but didn't show much of the actual outburst like here.
One of the best scenes, imo
“Mineta is the most offensive hero”
Damn right he is 😂😂
That's particularly hilarious considering his demeanor in the movie is the most decent he's ever had.
cringe
Chimera has the characteristic of 3 animals (hawk, wolf, crocodile) incredible strength and flame breath. All comprised into 1 quirk.
Although I wasn't sure how doing that would effect One For All as it gets stronger every time its passed from one person to the next, even if Bakugo only had it for a few minutes he could permanently effect it.
the power went back because of plot
True reason why OFA's still in Deku will be explained later on in the story
in japan, many fans including myself complained "Bakugo became unconscious before it's completed?! what a stupid wrap-up!" though now we're understood after reading manga (^ ^)
@@Narutonarutonaruto85 i'm quite interested, pls spoil me if you have more to say. i've seen the first 2 movies and all of the anime up to the curent e.119, but only snippets of the manga. i dont mind some spoilers tho; i'm planning on reading the entire manga anyway.
I love this movie. It is incredible. The first one set such a high bar, yet this one is better in every single way
This movie takes place sometime after what is gonna be the 5th season so there are some minor spoilers like the stuff about deku's quirk and tokiyami flying
Kota, Eri, and the siblings, looks like the next generation of the world of MHA are coming together xD
That's the plan from the beginning, the manga is supposed to end soon, then we'll probably get the next generation of heroes, taken up by a new mangaka.
@@TheZapan99 Wait what?
@@kayoh310 it's going to end sooner than expected, it's not that it's ending already

"sir night eye died"
"ok now that was sad"
If you're wondering how Deku gave Bakugo one for aII by just hoIding his hand, They both had battIe injuries including open cuts on their skin, so when they heId hands, Deku's bIood got into Bakugos cuts. He aIso didn't have to wait 3 hours to use the quirk Iike deku Because bIood traveIs fast around the body, So it was fuIIy in his system by the time they had to kick ass
I watched this in theaters and let me say, I have NEVER seen a movie that moved me and surprised me as much as this before
It's DNA...so he didn't need to eat his hair. It was passed thru the blood
The movie canonically takes place after about 2/3 of the 5th season.
Normal bakugo : explosion
Bakugo with OFA : Nuclear bomb duaarrrrrrr
i recommend watching "weathering with you" because Taki and Mitsuha from "you name" are in there
The most plausible explanation is in a way, the One-for-All quirk have atleast a semi conciousness that formed from the essence and will of the past One-for-All users, especially from the first user. According to the first user, the 9th holder will be significant, and Deku is the 9th. Maybe there's something special about the 9th and the fact that the other quirk that was stored in the quirk itself is unravelling now.
this movie fits in season 5/6 so kinda in the future a bit lol
"the darkness is my domain"
19:38
One for All is transferred through DNA. Deku’s blood got into Bakugou’s body through the cut he had on his hand
Also for the record, this was NOT the original ending for the show. Horikoshi said that there were some elements of this ending that were going to be in his original ending, but when the director of the movie asked to use them he agreed, because he said he had an even better idea for the ending.
Damn, I can't imagine how the ending would be.
@@Sheechiibii bro some of these theories be so weird, and half are because people look similar or have similar quirks

It’s 2 am in HK. And i am here to watch this great video
The moment where I cry up a river when deku passes of a to Kacchan while the song might u plays.
I saw this when it was In theatres. Twice
Once In Japanese
Once in english
That song that plays at the end of the battle is called "Might+U" is a vocal version of You Say Run and If you pay attention to the orchestration or speed up the song you can really reconized the song. And was also played in season 4 when Deku reach to Eri.
Bakugo didn’t need to eat a hair because deku’s blood (dna) went into bakugo’a body (wound)
This movie made bakugo as my favourite character
Anthony's face during the whole end battle was priceless ! The level of excitement on his face was beyond LOL
1 more months and season 5 is here
You two have become my morning routine. I watch your reactions while I'm having my coffee
29:25 if Bakugo gave back OFA to Deku he'd lose his quirk as well
omg how you both reacted is exactly how I reacted, except I wanted to literally squeal until my vocal cords were shredded to pieces XD
Deku saying the one thing he always wanted someone to tell him, that he CAN become a hero, to someone that is so similar to when he was younger. *Chefs kiss* Beautiful.
Shoji is such an underrated character. He can be a scout and a rescue which is really cool
As long as there’s DNA involved and the will to pass it one for all could be passed to another, Deku and Bakugo just used the cuts and the blood to pass it, and I won’t spoil about OFA and the reason how it got back to Deku at the end. It also makes sense of how Bakugou could activate it on command since people with experiences with their quirks it’s easier to activate a second, sorta like 9
When bakugou caught her I lost it😫😫
Fun fact: this is the last movie I had ever seen before the GD COVID-19 pandemic BS. I even managed to watch it twice. First time in Japanese dub with English sub, and the second time in English dub. It's so good to see you two finally enjoy the experience roughly a year later. Peace! ✌😁
For Further elaboration on why One For All didn't transfer to Bakugo. *Spoiler Warning ahead*
*I'm Serious HUGE manga spoilers don't read if you don't want to be spoiled*
The Quirk One For All is a conscious being holding the consciousness of the previous users of One For All within it allowing them to refuse to be transferred if the previous user feel like its not the right decision.
I am so glad I subscribed- this content is pure gold 😘

Are you guys going to react to the OVAs as well? There's one for S1, one for mid-season 2, one small one that ties into the first Movie, and 2 for season 4 (that happens in between S3 events).
14:52 “It seems like this kid might have more than one quirk.” I’m surprised that line didn’t get you guys thinking...
Also, the 3rd Season 5 trailer's end explains kind of why Deku still has OFA
I like how Anthony said "fuck him up!"
When you realize Midoriya already had three children to watch in the future. Like if All Might raise him, Midoriya then raise Kota, Eri, and Katsuma.
Also there's already 4 Generation of Big Three.
Eraserhead, Present Mic and Someone from Manga (shush),
Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki
Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki
And who knows those three children.
Will you be reacting to the season 5 trailers? There are two of them out now.

The remnants of the previous owners also play a role in the transmission of the quirk.

Todoroki (Shoto): Plus Ultra! PROMINENCE Freeze❄!!!
Deku has the quirk to pass on quirks and the stock pile quirk and it just flew over my head haha
I thought his original was the one that let him sense the strength of ones quirk, now I'm wondering how he figured out that was what the person's quirk was when he stole it
@@ultradeathboy if you remember in the flashback where he meets his companions that help him throughout the movie he was controlling the weather. He probably knew about the first quirk he took due to public knowledge
In light of more recent info in the manga the transfer not being permanent makes more sense than it does here.
