I was wondering why there were so many transparent textures, and then I realized you were never supposed to see these levels from the other direction, it was always backwards cam. Super interesting.
I imagine this part of the game would occur after Nate celebrates his victory and smokes too much weed. Just imagine being so high that you hallucinate yourself into the body of a fucking Bandicoot and the world around you becomes all pixelated?
Supposedly the level when Nathan washes up on a beach before venturing off into the jungle is meant to be a direct shout-out to N. Sanity Beach from Crash 1.
I just still love why Naughty Dog decided to let us play Crash Bandicoot in Uncharted 4! It was an amazing experience for me! It just threw people back in the old days, playing Crash. One of my favourite reasons why I love Uncharted 4.
For those who wonder how the mod works: if you play crash in uncharted 4, The screen and all 3d textures are actually loaded underneath nates house (or somewhere else on the uncharted map.)So the screen just shows another Camera thats underneath the map. So this mod just teleports nate to the map thats underneath the house and thats all.

Zinogg yeah it's basically put like that since you're not supposed to see it anyway. Like the end of the stage piece with the score. Aren't supposed to see what's behind you XD. Don't waste polys for spaces you won't even see. Idk
Zinogg Backface culling happens in real time, in this case the models are just modeled partially, because why model something the player won't see with the fixed camera.
For those who may be confused. The game as a minigame in it where you can play ctash bandicoot. But instead of emulating the game they just remade it in the actually game engine. So by using no clip you can access the levels.
Oh, look at that. Another playable level that Naughty Dog didn't utilize. Keep this going. By the time it hole gets deeper, we could play as Crash in the main game. PLEASE DO THAT!

That's awesome! I didn't know that they were mods available for PS4 games. You may want to fix up some of the geometry in the level, but this still looks great so far!
I believe the reason why this was possible was because in uncharted 4. The scene where he's playing crash bandicoot isn't an emulator. It's a full replica iwhtin the game.
This is so cool!! I just wish that more of the bg was finished up. The lacking background music does take away from it, and kinda jarring to realize just how slow and sluggish the "real life physics" are compared to how fast and smoothly Crash would get through this level in under a minute XD It would've been awesome to see Nate pick up the apples and punch/kick through the crates rather than just walking through them, but just for a mod, this is a sight to behold! XDD Thank you for posting this!
