Shotokan, my introduction to Martial Arts, of all the arts I learned, Shotokan still has a firm place in my heart. I took Karate to fight off bullies in school, they fled in terror when they learned I was doing Karate, that was the 90s so they all thought I was going to be like Chuck Norris. But I stayed with Karate all these years because I loved it so much.

I really miss doing karate I did it from 9 years old till I was 13 then I stopped because I got a little tired of it and now I found my karate card that I teacher would sign and stamp it so they knew that I was there and I brought back so many memories and I wish I knew where the classes were being held because I went to the place that we did it and asked the front desk and they said that they left 😔

What is the use of going on to the knee when you block I'm really curious cos the blocks themselves look functional but I can't come to a conclusion as to why you go to your knee. Is it just a way of increasing strength in the legs?

Next time I get into a street fight, I will do all these warm ups! If you ain't got it by now, it isn't going to happen!

What does a street fight have to do with a training session??? Let me ask you just two simple questions that will help you to see the difference: Do you think MIke Tyson did not warm up before he got into the ring? Do you think that if you would piss off Mike Tyson he wouldn't be able to roll with you right away? Thank you.
