I usually just immobilize my opponents with strategic checks and defend any checks on my king, then let my opponents kill each other while i build my defenses further. Works pretty well. At 1700 with just 5-6 games played
See l keep intending to do that, but l want to get an early second queen first and then l just forget to follow through 😅

If you like traditional chess you should give 4-way a try at some point. It’s very different but l like it a lot.

i dunno how many people are making 4 way chess videos these days (i remember seeing a couple in the past by a GM i think), but i like that you're somehow constantly keeping track of so much. bishops and queens seem to have way too much power in this version, and it seems rooks don't get to shine nearly as much.
Well it’s not easy. I often miss the dumbest things, but it’s still tons of fun! And yes, bishops are very powerful and knights are almost useless because they’re just so slow

Nope. That was a 100% genuine blunder. I totally should have taken the queen. In my defense though, with things coming at me from three sides it is a lot harder to catch everything 😅 but that is totally something l should have caught
