Just have finished reading the part three of Spare Part where the Carl Hayden team bits MIT and other college level ROV engineers. A brilliant story. Being in the same position of an immigrant as the four students, I admire their passion and commitment and appreciate their story of beautiful struggle. And you guys are very generous teachers, Fredi and Allan.
Amazing!! Im speechless, i saw the movie and cried thinking that there's a lot of talents out there, with so much to give and to apport to this country. God Bless you all!

My new friend is struggling, going through her immigration process, working 2 jobs and she told me “I am just an immigrant”. I showed her the movie version of the story, I watched it with her and saw her laugh and cry. She couldn’t believe it was true. It gave her a lot of strength and she’s been redoubling her efforts , practicing for TOEFL, saving money, working hard. I’ve seen such a difference in her.

I'm so sad I didn't know about this while it was happening! I'm bursting with pride for my old alma mater! (Class of 1979👩🎓) This will be something I'll savor, and show off to my friends in Idaho for years to come.👵

my old man was an educator, spent his last 12 yrs of his career as principal of our local 6th-9th grade school, we had a planetarium in 1968.....these are teachers an educator loves.....

We just finished watching the movie “Spare Parts”. I highly recommend watching this true story movie !!
Against all odds, this Phoenix, Ar HS team of undocumented Latino students beat major engineering college depts. at building an underwater drone and competing in a Santa Barbra completion sponsored by NASA.
I’m a retired engr (EE), so I could relate to everything. But you don’t have to be an engr to relate to the real story..., how these kids from one of the poorest Latino neighborhoods rose up to the occasion, putting all they knew together as a team & succeeded, despite all the doubts from everyone! Even the competition judges had serious doubts, but were completely impressed with the ideas & solutions these kids came up with.
What was most amazing is they built their drone for only $800, and according to the movie the MIT team had spent $80,000 on their drone!

3:12 that hit me hard, cuz I did that. I'd eat lunch in the classroom while working..., but hey, it got me to second place of state championship and qualified for worlds, but then there was Corona 😕
I just saw the movie and loved it!!! I can't wait to buy and share this beautiful story. Just goes to show how much potential we all have, especially if you work as a team.

20:20 this is ironic bc in other schools, being a geek or nerd is usually pretty cringe, but it's probably thanks to Robotics at Carl Hayden that made that into a good thing. By the time I started going to Carl Hayden in 2010, being a smarty automatically made you popular

America is a collaboration of different cultures, this is the reason we are the best in the world at everything. Russell Pearce has ties to the Arian Nation and has accepted donations from the organization. His son and some other relatives have been in trouble before for their racist beliefs, look it up.
Well we aren't the best at everything but we can do some pretty amazing things. And as for people like pearce they just hold the country back from what it can become, there are plenty of people with the brains and determination to strive but they just can't.

I love you alls story guys. I cried and Thank God for you all. God is the creator of borders but he also can remove any as he wishes. I know God was in this story and he can open dors anywhere. Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you will find. Always ask according to His will . I am so happy about this story and your stories are not over yet. God is good all the time.
