This is a reupload because the first one cut off. If you watched the cutoff one the original ending was 1:21:39 (thanks @A_Surpluss_of_Stupidity) and I changed the thumbnail because I wanted this one from the start but found it too spoilery, now that a few days have past I'd like to use it.
Hi
deez nuts
Alright, makes sense.
huh
Hi spiffy
Do not let the cuts fool you. Some of these puzzles took spigg WAY too long to figure out because he never looks up
Well Gamers never look up
i might be misremembering but wasnt there a portal dev commentary thing that talked about how hard it was to get players to look up?? cuz that might just be gamer genes
Maybe if he kept his promises and Rock and stoned he would have looked up
@@bap3227 Yea requiring players to look up without putting some kind of indicator at eye level to draw their attention upwards is considered bad game design. Many devs have had to find this out the hard way. Players do not go around inspecting the ceiling unless directed to.
@@Vonias I agree. One of the first "rules" of game design; "Do not hide obstructions from the player" in the sense of hiding them in cheap spots. Don't put bottomless pits that blend in to the floor in platformers, don't hide enemies in spots the player cannot easily see and/or reach in shooters, and of course, don't hide solutions to puzzles in places where no one would check, unless you provide hints.
The boss fight for Cat Nap is essentially just spraying water at him and saying "Bad Kitty".
why was he saying pss instead of gas (i know psss is supposed to sound like gas)
@@dainvisibulman it was spsps not pspsp. get it right 😒
@@dainvisibulman five nights with catnap
Theres also a red laser pointer in hallways where catnap is walking (which is interesting because a tape in chapter 2 said the prototype created a laser pointer out of an alarm clock) meaning CatNap is following the laser pointer like an actual cat
@@dainvisibulmanif I had to guess it's probably cause saying "gas him" may or may not lead to demonitization
Prototype mimicking that guy saying “I learn something new about you everyday” was my favorite part of the stream. Actually terrifying.
THE MIMIC
It’s really fucking cool and disturbing. It’s like the prototype is threatening him, saying he’s copying who he is and he’s going to copy everyone else by absorbing their shit by killing them. Cool as shit 💀

The classic Security Breach white woman jumpscare has forever scarred us
I love that they have the weeping angel just Chica teleport so you can’t just trap her. Also one of my favorite moments because holy hell that was a jumpscare.
I don't think she teleported I think she just ignores the doors. Afterwards she still gets through even though Spiff shut it
Genuinely that one death was the scariest part of the whole game
They should add an animation of her breaking the door or something like that
I was watching it live and actively screamed when it happened. highlight of my day lol

"Catnap, this gas aint shi- ●--(⁰0⁰)--●"
Gas got me tweaking O.O
I don't think Spiff ever realized it, so I'll point it out-but after CatNap takes your mask you have nothing to protect yourself from the Red Smoke anymore. You're living/hallucinating a nightmarish version of the scenerio, that's why there are multiple fakes in the final fight, and when he first shows up @1:18:40 after you don't have any protection from the smoke his-honestly already disturbing appearance-becomes even more grotesque as he chases you around. (´-∀-`; )
Tldr: you didn't immediately fall unconscious this time, so the Red Smoke makes you live a nightmare. (Think Scarecrow from Batman).
OOOOH sothats why the model switched between spindly and normal CatNap, i was so confused
Yeah it's basically just the scarecrow segments from Arkham Asylum.
I’m pretty sure someone told him in stream, if I remember right. It just isn’t in the video. That or it was a different stream lol
@@georgerobins4110 I believe it was a different stream because I did actually watch the full VOD of his first playthrough and I'm pretty sure he never mentions it, and only laughs about the switch-up anything Lol (õ∀ó )ゝ

Kinda fucked up how we killed catnap by electrocuting him. In the arg, the child inside catnap almost died from being electrocuted, and the prototype saved him. Now, he almost died from electrocution and was ended by the prototype.
He survived though? The prototype killed him
Déjà vu 🥰
yeah thats the almost died part he said it 2 times 1 for each time catnap dude nearly died @@aaabon941
@@aaabon941 that's why they said "almost died from electrocution" the second time
It is. We were just stunning him, Catnap made it worse by trying to expel the Red Smoke which ended up being VERY combustible. Then, after the fire, Catnap was basically dead. His flesh and organs underneath the toy's shell were most likely destroyed, so when the Prototype descended (really Made the Prototype look "Heavenly" there) Catnap willingly gave himself up too it. Catnap already knowing he was as good as dead anyways (Or Catnap believed the Prototype would save him again as it did before)
Learning from other playthroughs that Miss Delight wasn't even functioning as intended and was supposed to move whenever the lights flickered but she only acted as a very weird weeping angel is SUCH a Spiff bug to experience. Only Spiff would get something like this to happen in a way that doesn't even seem glaringly obvious that its broken.
EDIT - Been informed that apparently she's supposed to function as she did in Spiff's and that her moving in the dark was pre-release version. Interesting and terrifying...
watching this live, I was wondering why they didn’t do something like that where she only moves in darkness, especially considering the end where she just full on sprints at you. That makes a lot more sense.
funny enough this is actually her "new" intended behaviour! for some reason, it's only in the older pre-release builds they sent out to content creators where she moves in the dark. not sure why they changed it, the old mechanic is much cooler and more unique imo
@@Cassiepult OH THATS INTERESTING... Seeing her move in another person's video was so startling so actually this is interesting that this WAS intended but just... changed. I kind of hope she gets changed back since it really put way more pressure on her "fight"
They apparently had to change it because the old version of Miss Delight was too difficult. In other words, it’s all “Skill Issue”’s fault.

The dog guy calling the Player Angel was really sweet actually
It does add legitimacy to Poppy's claim that she wants to help and make things right. Poppy is still suspicious, but Dogday gives his last, agonizing moments alive to encourage you to keep going. I have much stronger reason to believe in Dogday's trust in Poppy and the player than just believing Poppy herself.
Ngl I hope we never get a name for the player character so I can keep calling them Angel
I'm still betting the Prototype kidnapped Kissy
We never heard the screaming suddenly stop
We never heard flesh being torn or cut
We only heard screaming and flailing, which sounds like a struggle
I'm betting the Prototype is using Kissy as leverage against us, since I'm 99% sure he knows she's one of our allies
(She also seems to be going against his control or his biding, since she participated in The Hour of Joy, she had at some point)

CatNap: "Leave Playcare"
MC: * leaves playcare *
CatNap: * proceeds to chase MC with murderous intent *
To be fair, poppy did say the Prototype would kill us if we tried to escape in general, so it was dying to catnap or them
Playcare is the entire dome area that this chapter takes place in. MC continued to attempt rerouting power to the gas production zone even after being warned, so CatNap went through with attacking.
Building on what spiff said about farming the children for energy - my working theory is that Playime Co. actually teamed up with Monsters Inc. and are using CatNap to give the kids nightmares. These nightmares leave the kids waking up screaming, terrified, and Monsters Inc. collect the screams for energy. Then (with a cut of the energy of course) they supply Playtime Co. with said energy. Oh yeah, it's all coming together.

28:20 OHHhh, she ate the other friends' bodies. Took a while to figure that out.
I was a little disappointed that he didn’t comment on that 😭 like really? “Flayed unicorn” doesn’t ring a bell?
okay but like, are they the sole killer? Was it intentional? Was it forced? I'm not done video I guess. I should finish video first.
@Thecooldudenoob No its not explicitly explained. Picky Piggy might not have even been involved in the other Critters' deaths at all, and it's just creepy cutout stuff... But there WAS cannibalism going on in the factory among the monster toys so it's definitely possible that the dialouge was forshadowing that
@@drawingdragon yea I naturally assumed that picky piggy was eating the corpses of the ones already killed by catnap, thus explaining why they lament that They’re “still hungry”. There’s no food since all of the corpses from The Hour of Joy were being feasted on by the bigger toys, so what else is there? Their friends 🤷
The prototype probably forcefed her all of her friends to get rid of their bodies. I don’t know why he would need their bodies gone, or maybe catnap did it, but they both don’t have a motive for it. Since the doggy cutscene, I think catnap was the one who did it. I think catnap wanted to erase any evidence of them dying, and he probably wanted them to feel the worse pain imaginable, so what other better way to torture them by forcing them to be eaten by their friend?

My hero!
This chapter is a MASSIVE improvment compared to the past 2 chapters. Not only is this the scariest chapter yet, the visual quality had a complete upgrade
i immediately knew itd be good when spiff said that there was no lag on highest graphics lol
Spiff made the ending fight significantly harder than it needed to be lol, for anyone wondering the endings “freebee” deaths were actually fake catnaps, some of the catnaps that go down the hallways are fake and can’t kill you, to distinguish wether or not the catnap is fake shoot it with the orange had and if it’s real it will stay but if it’s fake it will disappear, and the catnap at the top is always real.
There’s more to the fight than that but it gets somewhat complicated further so if you really want to I can tell you but what I’ve said and what spiff does in game is pretty much all you need to do to beat the fight
Please explain further, I like listening to people talking about things they enjoy and I'm too sensitive to jumpscares to watch closely enough to comprehend the boss fight mechanics
@@meowmew- ok so in the ending fight there’s 4 entrances for catnap to walk down at your sides with the 5th being at the top, the 4 hallways can have either fake or real catnaps while the 5th top vent can only have a real catnap, if you pay attention to the video you can see multiple catnaps down the hallways walking around which are the fake catnaps, to get catnap away from the hallways there are green hand electricity, two of them are locked behind a door you have to pull away on the right side, and the other two green electricity things are behind a purple hand jump and can’t be accessed until you jump up the purple hand, to figure out if a catnap is fake or not you use the orange hand that shoots fire balls and fake catnaps will turn to smoke while real ones will stay there.
Ok now that I’ve talked about the stuff either shown in the video or that I’ve talked about, I’ll talk about the new stuff, the 2 hallways on the far left and right have a battery space next to them which if you put a battery In either one the smoke that appears when you use the green hand stays there permanently instead of disappearing after a while, you’re given 5 batteries during this fight, 1 being for the panel at the front at the start of the fight, another being for the lights, another being for the green hand button, and the last 2 not having a direct purpose so you can use them for the two hallway, but as the fight goes on you’ll have to take out more batteries from other things like the lights and door gas to put back into the computer until the only battery not In the computer is on the required green hand activator, by the end of the fight the second green hand activator at the top of the computer which the 4 batteries were charging gets all electrified and when you shoot your green hand at it catnap jumps down from the top vent and you shoot him with it electrocuting him and then lighting him on fire.
Sorry that most of what I said was basically repeated or blatantly shown in the video, but it would be hard to explain the new stuff without talking about the old stuff, also sorry if this was worded weirdly, I’m typing it fast and not really paying attention to what exactly I’m typing

I think Miss Delight's chase is probably one of the best weeping angel mechanics I've ever seen. Because of how close she is to you, it really feels like she is stalking you. And she doesn't just glide across the floor, she has a detailed animation, which really adds to the chase. Plus the fact she whacks you with club made of pencils is absolute peak
Also, holy fucking shit, that Dogday scene is intense for a mascot horror game. That's some Blumhouse type stuff
I like how it's explicitly said that it's just a game to her, like Red Light, Green Light, not an actual restriction.
This conveniently explains why she'll still move to get around a door or something even if you're watching, and that moment at the end where she decides to stop playing and just starts chasing you is great.

the only thing i want poppy playtime theorists explain is ollie and why their voice was so painful to listen to
I can at least answer why its so painfull to listen its simply because the the kid who synchronized him had no refference to base his synchronization on just like in movies where they always see the situation they're synchronizing on a screen before them.
It sounds like he just had to read out some scentences on a sheet of paper for a cut and then the next one and then the next one instead of reading it like a conversation. at least thats what i think why he pronounces the sentences so akward like hes always starting a new conversation. Either that or its actually intentional and its like in fnaf ruin where someone(for example de prototype) imitates the kid to mislead you which is a high possibility if you think about it because the hour of joy where everyone was killed happened 10 years before the sart of the first game so every still remaining kid in the facillity must be a late teenager or adult by now so logicwise its likely that its not a real kid or at least not human

that was a per-release thing, in the finished game she's supposed to be a weeping angel!
@@ciciamanda.At this point, the concept has been used so often the scare factor has basically been removed. The OG concept sounds a bit more unique than the overused Weeping Angel theme imo.
Personally, the best uses for weeping angel trope is for psychological horror. Nightmare house 2 and silent hill do this really well, with nightmare house 2 having the mannequins move around but not attack you, and it eventually seemingly try to help you. Silent hill games often have random objects move to make you feel paranoid, which is referencing the fact that you play as a character who is going crazy.@@Tin_Head

And instead of selling immortality to the highest bidder you decide to put a bunch of kids souls in cheap mass produced toys.
Spiff calls Ollie Gregory, but he doesn't suspect mimic Gregory
My big issue with mascot horror as a genre is that there's a fine line between "using the aesthetics of childhood to emphasize horror" and "actually marketing to children." Poppy Playtime has been riding a little too far to the latter side of that line -- it hasn't really had much of a sting to it. There's been rough implications of nasty stuff in the background, but beyond a few bloodstains, nothing. But then, this chapter is on another level. It manages to flip to the other side of that, successfully doing what it's pretended to do for a long time. Here in chapter 3, it took a straight-up turn for the genuine horror, and actually manages to amplify that with the childish aesthetics. Very happy with the turn it's made.
The thing that makes me hate it more is that they are now releasing mascot horror games in chapters that you have to pay to play just a fraction of the game. And even if they change the price when they finish all chapters to have it be all of them in one. The people who bought each chapter separately spent more money on the game than if it was bought when it was a whole game. Greedy money making tactics on top of selling merchandise. But I am glad that they made chapter 3 with more horror
I think "spiff you promised" should keep living on as a meme, that legitimately made me laugh.

It’s impressive how much poppy playtime struggles to be a puzzle game. Like chapter 2 was minigames and chapter 3 is just a look up simulator
my least favorite thing about this game is that it is not even close to scary yet somehow supposed to be a horror game. Like Catnap’s design is fucking awesome and he doesn’t do anything until the last 20 minutes of the game.
Is that scummy dev still in charge of MOB games? I haven't kept up with the drama and as good as the chapter is compared to the other two, I refuse to praise it if that guy is still in charge
I feel in this chapter especially many of the puzzles (other than just the look up ones) felt like they focused on just having more steps rather than actually being harder to solve
@@ZorillaMyrid181 they both left but poopy playtime is still mid at best
Valve had solved this problem eons ago. They have previously said that players do not look up ever, which is why game developers need to put visual cues. However, spigg was just blind, since often there were in fact visual cues, such as sparks, ropes, light, etc.
also the flare gun hand was for the catnap bossfight too if you used it on a hallway it would show if that catnap was real ( i missed an "L" in hall )
Holy Crap what an improvement from Chapters 1 and 2, I also like how you added captions during the CatNap boss to show that the boss fight isn't buggy or anything, you just forgot to use your tools.
I like how everyone’s first word upon hearing Ollie is “Gregory?” 😂
SPIFF YOU PROMISED.
Poppy playtime 3 is like security breach ruin, better at everything than its predecessor.
"I can't wait to replace these videos" okay but Spiff, for the video on Elliot Ludwig as you take the cable car into the hub room (at the start of the game) can it just be a video of Streamer Ludwig's channel? That'd be so funny

I had to replay it 4 times to actually confirm what he said when he mentioned "9". That's like, my favorite movie of all time. You just made all the memories of me rewatching it over and over again 10 years ago come back, it was peak.
I was watching this on desktop, then wanted to sleep and got confused as to why i couldnt find it on mobile despite having it just pulled up mere minutes prior
I cannot believe spiff has no fear that statue that rotated to face him and he’s like hey stop that cut it out is wild I’d be shitting bricks
The way they cut around how blind this man was, you dont even understand i think half of the playthrough was him looking for something he stared directly at 5 seconds before.
LMAO the SHADE
It's true too
A lot of the time when people said look up, it's because there were visual cues indicating something on the ceiling that spigg was too blind to see.
If you're reading this,
Know that the broken video
Is still available but not at the same time.
By clicking on notification
I can access the video and its comment section
There is no other way to view that video back
Unless you saved it
What exactly is broken with the old video if I may ask?
People seem to forget that the history part exists.
@@Servoxyl it ended 15 minutes earlier than it should have.
@@Servoxyl The original video abruptly ended around 15 minutes before the actual end of the game.
Catnap sadly didn't look up. His fate was set the moment he made that mistake
56:20 they're getting jiggy with it
1:05:53 the deep rock galactic quotes brought a smile to my face
This is acrually one of the games i sat and watched the whole VOD/stream through, and i actually caught it whilst it was still live, which is super unusual for me. I really enjoyed watching your playthrough, and how you managed to stick to your promise for most of it. (YOU PROMISED)
But yeah, seeing how you got on with your first playthrough, i can't wait to watch you tear it apart when you speedrun it lol. You're great, spigg, look after yourself ❤
more like "look up for yourself" amirite
@@khittyhawk9651 OH MY GOD LMAO
"Gregory, what are you doing?! You're in the wrong game!"
-Freddy
makes me happy that like 10 people immediately thought of cave johnson in that one cutscene lol
to be fair it does sound VERY similar to his voice
This isnt a horror game. This is a puzzle game with aspects of horror.
Basically the half-life series lol
Nice work on the quick fix Spigg.
I'm actually pretty sad that Spiff didn't listen to Picky Piggy's dialogue. It reminded me a lot of a part from the Undertale fancomic Horrortale, where Sans is listing off a bunch of things Papyrus puts in his spaghetti, but it gets increasingly obvious that these ingredients are names, only for him to ask you to remind him what your name is.
I love how the catnap fight was literally just the vape machine game
Rock and stone is a phrase from a game called "deep rock galactic", where you can press a "emote" button and your character will yell "ROCK AND STONE!"
Me, who watched this entire thing live and then went back to rewatch some parts: Oh fuck yeah, Spiff's vid is out!
this was actually spectacular, i'm very impressed by them. also loved the scene where huggy came out of the tv and chased you. the movement also looked p fun! looking forward to seeing more of ur videos on this :]
