That’s why 2001 which is 23 years ago was the last time 60532 had ever been seen on the mainline Now 23 years later she’s back on the mainline And hopefully no more wheelslip and incident as it did 30 years ago at Durham
It was for both the A1 and A2, I believe significant work was done during the design stage of Tornado to try and improve the ride so she could run at 100mph without throwing the crew around the cab, something a few of the original A1s were known to do!
What a splendid sight ! Can’t wait to see her in action on railtours !
Quite nice to see 60532 up and running at speed!
Superb coverage of the test run.
Thank you very much
I bet Gordon would love one of those chime whistles - but I think he's be showing it off all the time!
Was great to see blue peter steam past my house a few days ago 😁
Saw her in Kidderminster last Saturday

A giant red spiral death pepper dipped in spicy Pete’s hellfire chilli oil? With a line of wasabi paste ?
Looks like Gordon in real life!
What is the whistle? Original? Great vid!
They've kept the original whistle but the chime has been on it since its last overhaul.
Looked a bit lively at the front end at speed...... I hope thats normal !!

Very bonni in blue. Inaccurate ofcourse but whae cares it’s a change from br green
Are you going to put the b.r logo on the tender.
Yes they will do once all tests are complete.
Why BR? It was an LNER Peppercorn Class Locomotive. The great London North Easter Region!!
The locomotive is LNER design but it was outshopped in March 1948 as British Railways Apple Green, technically it was never in LNER livery.
Nice video, Like
Thank you
