    Regarding marijuana while I’m not an active participant these days I can tell you from experience marijuana quells aggression, improves sleep and aids food vendor sales everywhere. Illegal yes, also causes fewer negative issues than alcohol from my experience so perhaps it should be legalized.

    How much are the Bangkok apartments' common areas (ie gyms or swimming pools) used ?

    • @martypoll
      @martypoll 3 года назад

      My condo is 26 stories tall. I am a frequent user of the pool. At this time of year almost no one uses the pool. The most people I have ever seen in our pool on a hot weekend day is 15-20 and that is a rare day. The gym get more frequent use but that means 1-2 people at a time. It obviously depends on the demographics of the building. My condo is in W District, Phra Khanong.

    I notice many condos are fully furnished there. Something you don’t find in my area. Makes it difficult to move as you also must move all of your furniture. Small updated furnished condo affords you the opportunity to be able to easily move from one area to another. Smaller area means smaller area to clean. I’ve had large houses and all the crap to fill them and a small simple condo appeals to me much more.

    Confiscating Motorcycles from street racers is a good move. Investigating motorcycle riders that don't have a driver/riders licence, as well as driving an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle and riding without a helmet would be a better move.

    Its precisely because Pattaya is such a frequently visited place that caution needs to be taken! A rise in infection rates there (as evidenced by Phuket) will ineviably translate into a further increase in cases everywhere else in Thailand due to Pattaya's transient destination status.

    You can't have family without sex!!

  • @somluck2813
    @somluck2813 3 года назад +2

    Obviously, to claim Pattaya is not a place for families is completely false.
    Thai families from Bangkok and the hinterland near Pattaya go down to Pattaya every weekend.
    They do not have the money to fly to Phuket for the weekend.
    Many families from Europe, Russia etc also holiday in Pattaya.
    The social economic demographic families that holiday in Pattaya is different from the families that holiday in Phuket.
    They have less money, they like water parks, theme parks, cheap, plain food (and lots of it).
    They are on a small budget than the families in Phuket.
    The reason Pattaya gets a bad rap in relation to families is that the middle class absolutely despises the working class.
    Apparently, it is fine to parade around on the beach in dental floss or topless in front of the children in Phuket.
    But the horror of the same thing behind closed doors in Pattaya means children must kept a 100 miles away in case their minds are polluted.
    The middle class thinks it is morally superior because it goes to night clubs and finds someone to have sex with for fun rather having sex to feed and cloth one's children and support one's parents.

      A couple of years ago I went to Pattaya with my wife and two children, 10 & 12 years old. We stayed on Soi 2 near Beach Road. We avoided Soi 6 and Walking Street but otherwise had no problem with walking around with the kids.

    • @somluck2813
      @somluck2813 3 года назад

      @@martypollNothing to see in Walking Street during the day. To get to the pier to go Koh Larn, people down Walking Street.
      Family's walk down Walking Street at night to see the sights and sounds. Plenty of colour and movement.
      A lot less flesh than on a Phuket beach and a lot lot less flesh than on European, Australian or Brazilian beach.

    Street racing is a big problem in this area mainly because of the appalling noise that they make. Deaths of 14/15/16 yr olds happen from time to time but it's not really enough to thin the numbers. The so called adults in the area don't even give a toss about what goes on, and the police are all in bed by 7pm.

    the ban of alcohol reflects how the authorities treat the population like young children and certainly you won't get tourists coming to thailand and you ain't going to turn pattaya into fa family resort - marijuana - it should be legal and its an excuse for the police to avoid work that is more important -
