Man, you have a gift for making tutorial videos! You are completely thorough with the information with zero excess or redundant footage. This video would walk a person with no experience through this job and they would get the job done, but at the same time, the video is very interesting to watch as presented, even for people that have been doing their own maintenance for a long time. On a side note, I believe that you have saved yourself a lot of trouble by buying those JIS screwdrivers. I have never owned any, and I have stripped more than one of those screws with a normal Phillips screwdriver. Lucky for me, I have One old-school Craftsman Phillips that fits the JIS screws almost perfectly, but it is the exception to the rule. Honda sure does keep you on your toes with all those bolts with different shaped shoulders! I always tell myself that I need to punch some holes in a piece of cardboard in a drawn out pattern and keep those different length bolts in their proper places. One of the only thing that you need to keep in mind when dealing with a used bike is that you don't know how the people before you did their fluid on the brake system. When the bike has new shoes and the fluid is filled, that is the correct amount of fluids. As the shoes wear, the fluid level drop because the pistons have moved out to make up for worn linings. You do not need to top off that fluid! It is in serviceable range. Unless you have a leak, you don't need to add fluid, because what will happen is when you replace your pads on a bike that has been topped off, there is now EXTRA fluid in the system. When you force those worn shoes back, that extra fluid has to go somewhere, since there's no room for it, so it can lock up the caliper and not let you push the shoes back, if the Master Cylinder cap is on, and if the cap is OFF, you will be forcing that extra fluid OUT of the master cylinder and getting brake fluid on parts that will end up getting their paint removed! So don't add fluid to a master cylinder to "top it off" unless there is a leak in the system! OK, I have gotten a little long winded here, and nobody came to read a BOOK in the comments! Take care, everybody. Keep the shiny side up! and enjoy your rides!

So unsure why YT decided to flag this post but I've been keeping a good habit recently of checking it. You have so much good information in this comment. Not adding brake fluid as it goes down because of it wearing is something I didn't think about. I guess that's why I've always made a habit of removing the cap but what you said makes total sense. As always thank you for sharing the knowledge and adding to the upcoming video!

YT flagged this post? I have heard some "outspoken" people claim that they are "Shadow-banned" and I took that with a grain of salt, but more and more, I think that I might be on that list... I speak my mind on what YT considers "controversial topics" so that's probably what's going on. They outright BANNED Matt Walsh for refusing to use "preferred pronouns" of a certain character who is wrecking beer sales, so that's probably it! I like this channel because you don't get political at all, but STILL a comment on a good YT content creator gets flagged. WOW! Keep putting out great content, and hopefully your channel won't be judged by the "deplorables" who comment on brake changes!! :) Take care, and keep on making entertaining, and very helpful content.

Solid info and tutorial. I swear, the amount of folks I see riding on well over 2 year old brake fluid is astounding. Great job!

I agree with you. I almost labeled as such but I post these Africa Twin videos on a FB group and i didn't want them to think I was just posted a none AT video. I should post a new thumbnail/Title for it now that it's bee a while on the group and no one would fuss.

Thanks - couldn't figure how the spring pads fitted snugly (or not snugly as is the actual case). Anyway all's well that ends well. Thanks again.

Not a problem. I don't think overall you lose any braking ability just won't have a rattle when it's snug.

Very interesting video. Thanks very much .
    I noticed your headlight grille.
Could you tell me what manufacturer or brand it is? I'm interested to know if I can find one here in Germany or Europe.
    Greetings from good old Germany.

Thank you sir.. I actually don't know the brand of it as it was on there when I purchased the bike I had found this one for a guy a few weeks ago that is very similar if not the same one. Hope it helps.
