Apologies for being dense, where exactly did you start? The two "pins" you provided in the comments are 1) a map of Chula Vista and 2) a route that looks to be driving directions. I'm hoping to ride this tomorrow for my first MTB outing. Thanks.
I don't know why the pins are being wonky. My back yard as well.. It’s a great place for me to start my return to the sport after a 10 yr hiatus. Great starting point for getting back into shape, working your cardio and endurance levels..
As someone who is possibly moving from Bentonville to San Diego, this really is setting my mind at ease. I'm still a beginner but I love MTB. Good to know I will be able to keep it up if I move.
I haven't been to Bentonville, but I imagine it will be an adjustment. We definitely have trails, but I don't know if they are going to be as plentiful as what you have there.
Sorry, I missed this comment earlier. It's roughly 10 miles, but it's an out and back, so you can make it a lot shorter if you like. There are also some add ons that can increase your mileage and elevation. I hope that helps!
Keep up the good work. I recommend your channel to beginners that I meet in San Diego and even two more experienced Riders so they can look up your intermediate rides.
Sweet my back yard... I use to contain all the area did some of the little jumps myself along with trimming etc. I gave up because people where not respecting that trail system. Unfortunately when it rains hard you need to stay away for a long time, a month at times if not more. And some of the features like the jumps where getting destroyed because people didn't know how to jump them and instead roll over them. Now that my oldest is 5 and can actually hang with me, I think I'll bring it back to life.
It would be awesome to see some of those features brought back to life. I don't think people realize how that area holds water, and it's really easy to destroy the trails.
Hey Chris, I love the channel and all the rides. You have hit all my staple rides and even opened my eyes to some very cool varations. I don't see the pin for the trailhead for this ride. (This could be my short attention span; I often spend hours looking for items that are in clear view of everyone else.... But, could you drop a map pin for me? Thanks.) Also, I'm a dad so hearing you talk about "walking today to ride tomorrow" and being able to hold your kid hit home. Thanks for all the great rides....

Welome back!
Just hit this trail today!
Awesome! How was it after the rain?
@@MTBTrailReview only a couple of muddy spots but ridable
@@_D3VOE_ That's good.
Thank you. I’m doing this ride tomorrow👍
No worries. Enjoy!

2 questions: are e-bikes allowed? Are there rattlesnakes?
thanks
There are definitely rattlesnakes. I'm not sure about ebikes being allowed. I haven't seen any signs saying they aren't...
Very helpful! Went there recently
Awesome!
I just took my buddy here for his very first MTB ride. When the time changes this will be my night ride trail.
Nice! There's a lot more out there, too, if you have some time to go explore.
Awesome ride bro! Pretty rad trails keep it safe 🤙🔝
Thanks!
Do you know the address of the trail ?
Hey bro I went out here and I saw 5 ginormous tarantulas
That's awesome! I've only seen a few on the trails.
This looks like a great spot to take some friends who are interested in the sport. Thanks for all the great content man.
No worries! It's an awesome spot for newer riders to just session the smaller features, too.
Awesome video and very jealous, Subscribed for more :)
Thank you!
Very nice ;) This is exactly what I need to transition my wife from her road bike to a mountain bike :) Thank you!!
No worries! Hopefully she enjoys it.
I do this once a week but I start on Proctor Valley and drop from the dam..it has a cool little DH section and a nice drop at the botrom. Nice video!
Thanks. I haven't done it from there. I'll have to go check it out!

Where on Procter valley is the dam?

I was started mountain biking there, with Walmart bike.😄😄😄 long time ago..
Nice! It's a great place to get started.
Will hybrid bikes w/ 45c tires be okay on this trail?
I t would probably be okay, but I would take it slow and be very cautious the first time.

Thanks! I'm going to be posting a lot more intermediate/advanced rides soon.

Looks like a great place to take my wife. Thanks for the video Chris!
No worries! My wife really enjoys it out there.
Hi, newbie here, just bought a mtb 2 days ago
I wanna try this trail, is it easy to get lost here?
If you take the trail past where we went, there is a little potential to get lost. It's pretty straightforward for the most part.

It’s the Lower Otay Reservoir in Eastlake
yeah! 🤘
You should check out the trail at Lake Jennings. It begins at the end of the road where the camp area is and ends all the way near El Capitan lake.
That'd be cool if you did a video on this. The trail is great!
I've always wondered about trails out there, but haven't explored it yet. I'll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
That was a wackass jump 😂😂😂😂😂
The jumps out there are definitely not professionally built.
