I changed the tractive effort in game to match IRL Specifications and lowered the price accordingly. Makes it weaker but also gives a cheaper way into the diesels depending on how far in the game you are.
Minute and thirty seconds in, and I can see the frame stutter every time it goes by. Apparently the GP9 is a frame hog too, but I didn't notice until I have like thirty of them plus steam locomotives and over two hundred rolling stock on the line. My PC doesn't like the GP38, and I have a beefy computer that'll handle any of today's games at ultra settings. I'd say the diesel locomotives need some performance tweaks to run smoother in the game, some more than others. The only one that's not too terrible is the F7 A and B units for some reason. Although I was a little bummed you couldn't walk through the engine access halls.
F7 model isn’t complete. There’s going to be an update at some point. Also my frames are fine running the game with max settings. What specs are you running? It might be FPS limit on the game side rather than hardware.
@@erikwilliam1254 strange, I’m running a very similar set up to you and have no stutter or frame issues like that. Try tweaking the video and graphic settings in the game and see if that improves anything. Doesn’t seem like it’s your PC
Really Nice Mod looks and Sounds like the Real Thing only missing all the smoke build-up when running them. Thing's I Noticed that are totally Wrong on RS1, they didn't ship with 3 chimes horn the standard horn on them were 1 chime which was located center of the cab middle windows next to the roof of the cab both sides had 2 different horn sounds the "Front" had a (long and Deep pitch sound) alert oncoming traffic known as a "Moose" as for the "Rear" horn was a (short and High pitch sound) because of the deadly short hood nose for the crews to alter. Roof top horns were modify versions where it was up to that Railroad to do so NOT standard issued. Only last thing I noticed is the Bell is in the wrong location as there on the Engineers side in front of the Fuel tank or right in front of the front horn on the long hood, you don't need to take my word on it just go look up Real Life pictures and you'll see. What I'm really shocked about is that this RS1 has No "F marker" as this was the unit that made the "F marker" so Famous which is still used to this day on all Diesel Locomotives. Edited: I don't know Sean I think you're seeing things I don't see any smoke, maybe you see smoke from whatever you're smoking but I see nothing Ha-ha. Now can we get a RS3 or RS11 that would be Awesome I would be back for that.

RS-1s were built exclusively with the 539T inline 6. The 244 didn't come out until the RS2/3 and ALCo FA units in the late 40s after WWII
The engine sound sounds more like the non turbocharged 539, the turbocharger on the turbocharged 539 make a whistling sound.

awesome loco the sounds are perfect great job by the modder thanks for sharing
It sounds like the same recording that JointedRail uses for its 539T.
Cause it is.

Needs more smoke, I've never seen such a clean running Alco.
You mean alcos were actually acting like the honorary steam engines They were and belching smoke.
Not surprised your here
The older mod you were talking about is an RS3 by a different modder. They have yet to update for new sounds.
Different modder, and there’s a few things that need fixed on the RS3 like bogey resize, Alco engine sounds and the UV mapping could be tweaked
This is good enough to be in the stock game
Tbh better than stock. The stock GP9 leaves a lot to be desired
@@shopdog831 agree bigly. Great mod
Still suprises me after all this time in the game that traveling only 30 mph on this track seems much faster than that actual speed

Jointed Rails 539T sounds from trainz on this mod.
Isnt that theft of deps from a payware model from a different game?
I don’t think JR owns the audio. There’s plenty of Alcos for trainz that use that audio.

the game is Railroader
