The Damned, Eddie and The Hotrods and UFO are three of my favorite bands ever...that makes Paul gray my favorite musician ever, bar none, as he played in all three. THANKS PAUL.
Just had the pleasure of meeting PG at a Wingman gig in Colchester. Had the opportunity to tell him how much I love this song. His bass playing was so cool tonight.
Three years to the day I saw you guys at the House of Blues Chicago. I've seen hundreds of shows. Definitely one of my all time favorites. Went back last year and saw you again. Can wait for the next tour!!
Thank you for this real treat Paul. Pleasure and the Pain has always been my favourite track from Strawberries, and Strawberries is also my favourite album of all time. I'll be taking my well loved red vinyl copy with me to my grave.
Yeah, awesome! I also love your Bassline on Billy Bad Breaks! I tried to learn it in the eighties from the instrumental track on the Dammed but not forgotten Lp. Heavy stuff for my fingers then. 😎👍🏻Great song!
very neat neat neat Paul hope you are well I'm still having to work making truncking for these new hospitals look forward to hearing more from you thanks
Bass is the warmth in any given tune and it's interesting to hear it (almost) on its own like it is here. Pretty damned neat (neat neat) insight into the construction of this well loved song from a very well loved album. Thanks Paul!
Absolutly loving these Damned shows. Great to see PG and his fabulous Ricky always been a fan of Pauls tone and playing. I didn't know Strawberries was recorded at Rockfield in Monmouth. I recorded there last year in the Coach House studio not the Quadrangle where I would imagine The Damned recorded.
A class track from a classic album. In my top ten of all time. F..k nostalgia! It's timeless but unfortunately crimanally underrated even by Damned fans.
Don't want to overstay my welcome, but can I pitch the idea of touring the Strawberries album in 2022 for the 40th? I won't even ask for royalties for the idea...it's on the house.
this is a re-upload from paul gray's channel but i love the song so much i'll watch it again. paul's enthusiasm for the song fosters such an expressive performance. i love THE DAMNED SHOW suggestions for the show: what the fuck happened before and after the performance on the old grey whistle test? why didn't you just do another take? why is there so much spitting at damned shows? dave vanian does a show and tell on the tricked out rock and roll hearse he drives. how the song "lovely money" came about and fond memories of viv stanshall the friendship between the damned and the adolescents/rikk agnew
Thanks so much PG. Awesome track. You are the best. Is that the same Ricky you were sporting on the front cover of Live at Shepperton? Sounds so chocolatey!
Whats ur live eq settings? I play a rick that im currently destroying and it always sounds crap....alot of ur later live stuff with that blue rick ur tone sounds quite phat!!
Morning, blokes. Since you are taking requests..... My dogs third eye has cancer. If you guys could make a video about Dave Vanian and pipe smoking, I just know he will be decoding Masonic corporate logos and feeling God's love again in no time!!!! Thank you oh so much!! The Damned is the best band reality has ever witnessed!! Love you dudes
One of greatest bassist of all time

Always great to hear Paul do his thing...
So great Paul rejoined, they played a great show in Sydney 22 August last year.
Great stuff Paul and that Rickey is sounding fantastic!
Absolutly loving these Damned shows. Great to see PG and his fabulous Ricky always been a fan of Pauls tone and playing. I didn't know Strawberries was recorded at Rockfield in Monmouth.
